Is pitlane to short?.I know LeBrocq will be at Darwin. I think Davies is at Winton.
Golding might be at Queensland.

I thought there were supposed to be a few DVS wild cards at this event?
As I understand it, this round was open for wildcard entry but, no entries were received, probably thanks to the cost of a long haul over the Nullarbor.

There was a list of Wildcards published not long ago of who's entered where.

Still a shame the Q50 isn't sold as a Nissan Skyline. That would surely help sales and no doubt be an awesome Supercars base.
This NEEDS to happen if Nissan is to truly benefit from racing in Supercars. The Altima is a daggy vehicle and needs to be replaced with something new and exciting.

After the Q50's adventures with Save Our Paras Racing in the BTCC, I don't think it will be going anywhere.

I actually think the Q50 would make for a great Supercar.

Coming soon-ish.

I see that coming, but Nissan are trying to push that model so hard, maybe it's just not meant to be here in Oz.

Australians know Skyline. Promoting a rebadged Q50as a race car, takes things back to the HR30 & R31 rwd Skylines. Keeps the iconic Skyline name in Australian touring (supercars) cars and possibly get people back in Nissan showrooms.

It would be a smart move selling the Skyline in the same delearship as the GT-R(and Z, for that matter).

Someone should photoshop that to look like a VASC since I would suck at it. :p

Seriously, with Emery in talks with Japan, he'd do well to push for that in 2019. Drop in that 3.0TT.

It'd have more credibility than the Altima.
Nissan were selling so few of them, they've pulled it from sale.

Come to think of it, next year the only car on sale racing in Supercars, will be the Holden :odd:

Crazy.

A Supercars official, will have his own camera, to look for cars going over the kerb at the final turn. Penalties will apply.
Ingall made a point, with the tyre being an inch higher, the cars ride higher and are able to use/overuse that kerb more than last year.

I do like Ingall as a commentator. I know he's a bit of a boofhead, but he occasionally comes up with little gems like this one.

The Aussie Racing Cars commentators pointed out just how bad the marbles are off of the racing line. I wonder if an effort will be made to clean it up, as was done at Clipsal where they brought out a street sweeper before both races.

Expect single file follow-the-leader 'racing' if they don't.

Exactly. If they want to put on a good show then something as simple as cleaning up the track could go a long way. Thankfully though, the main overtaking points at turn 6 and 7 look pretty clear of marbles but good luck to anyone caught off line in turns 1 to 5.

When I was a flagmarshall, once the circuit was safe to do so in between races, we were 'encouraged' to grab the broom & do a little tidying up in front of our flag point.
It wasn't always possible but a good way to kill some minutes waiting for the next event.

The #78. 👍
Rick looked worried... and should be. They keep slacking and she'll be leading the team

The #78. 👍

She's doing a phenomenal job.

Not quite sure what she, Rick and Todd were doing during qualifying though. Good driving from SVG to avoid what would have been a major collision.

I think they were blindsided or something. Didn't see anyone coming and just weren't aware. But of course Triple 8 are making a fuss so who knows what's going to happen. I just hope DJRTP lays the smackdown.

Holdsworth was ahead. So, I think he was holding them up. Mostert was on the side behind Simona and Lowndes was there too. So, I hope we get a feed from the Nissans.

How long have they been racing at Barbagallo? They know it's an issue. It's always an issue. There's really no excuse for it.

Can Riana Crehan be banned from interviewing Will Davison please?
Ban anyone from interviewing Will Davison(and James Courtney... until, there's something to report).

Davison had the longest interview on the grid than any other driver, which is made worse when his girlfriend is the one interviewing him.

And at least Courtney is entertaining, and isn't so deadpan and boring.

Looked like the #17 jumped. We'll see.

Edit: Nope. Excellent start.

I'm waiting for Rullo to show this home track advantage thing.
