I just remembered earlier about Supercars final year at Abu Dhabi, and that they were support for the F1. They had very little track time with the restrictions given, so I'm hoping they can deal something a little better for Albert Park next year.

Also, +1 for wanting Supercars at Brands Hatch. England would definitely be the place to be for Supercars in Europe, they have a surprising fan base there.

It would be well-suited to Supercars, and to be perfectly honest, Silverstone is a little overrated.

If Supercars were to go to Europe, they'd have to do multiple races. I'd suggest Brands Hatch, the Red Bull Ring, Algarve and (as much as I'd love to see them at Mugello), Imola.

The time is ripe, for Supercars to go to Europe.
I tell you, if Sandown goes away after next year and if F1 keep the same schedule, they could do Monza and Singapore ahead of Bathurst. However, I'd bet The Bend would want their event in the enduros.

Monza is a Formula 1 circuit. Touring cars rarely produce good racing there.
V8s are just as fast as GT4 & GT3 cars in a straightline. They would have to be much quicker than a TC/TCR. Could be interesting, like a longer Simmons Plains.

But there are far more interesting circuits in Italy.

I'll be honest i'm not really seeing it with Imola because upon a quick google it just looked like a bunch of long straights with some chicanes which reminds me of Monza? Wasn't long straights what we were trying to avoid? I may be wrong but as YouTube search showed there wasn't that Touring Car racing that happened there?

Imola was used for F1. There is a good amount of elevation change to the circuit. Plus good curbing for Supercars.

I'm with you on Imola.

If they were going to pack the circus for a trip all the way to Italy, Monza gets my vote with Mugello the reserve.

"good curbing for Supercars."

Yay! More opportunities for the over zealous officials to issue pitlane penalties for 'excessive use of the kerbs'

I can remember watching the BTCC races there in the TOCA days & they were spectacular races to watch.

Indeed, Knockhill in the SuperTouring era was a sight to behold. A lot of the BTCC calendar would be well suited to Supercars. Oulton and Donny are two other great tracks.

I just watched almost all videos from COTA and Speed's Bathurst coverage. The fan videos showing the race starts, is just otherworldly. It brought back that feel of seeing my first live V8 race. I can't wait for the Newcastle race. mainly because it's a new circuit and the sounds bouncing off the structures will be awesome. Donington is an awesome flowing circuit.

No matter where the series goes next. if it never sees europe, it's going to excite.

I kinda wish the Supercars had a Japanese round. I feel like if they did do a Japan round it would be at Fuji, but Suzuka would also be pretty cool. :D

I just want to see the Supercars have the option of visiting the most famous circuits in the world.
Racing on a pop up street circuit in Asia or some 3rd rate track overseas, doesn't excite me at all.

Japan has an oversupply of circuits suitable for Supercars.

As a bonus, we get a friendly time zone 👍

Dare I imagine the Supercars running the Nurburgring??? Now wouldn't that be a sight to behold!

I actually quite like the look of that GT-R rendering!
Does it belong in V8SC though, not sure.. would definately take some getting used to.

When Nissan mentioned possibly using GT-R, I thought it wouldn't matter seeing a GT-R on the grid. I was for it and I know @R1600Turbo was against it from the jump, but thanks to this render, it doesn't fit. It did work in the ATCC days because all cars were pretty much upright sedans. However, 2 doors like the M4, CLK, A5, are closer to sedans than what Mustang & GT-R have become.

I reckon the Mustang body size and style could still look normal up against Altima and Commodore. They're roughly the size and shape so I don't think it would look out of place. The render that SSMedia did made it look a bit too tall and slightly cartoonish though.

The Stinger didn't look great either. Hopefully, Kia do come to the party.

Yeah the Stinger looked a bit funny as well. Could just be that it seems as though he uses the same template on each of the renders, and it's just that he's having to make the car fit the template maybe, cause it to look a little odd maybe.

Cool to be having a second circuit at Bathurst, but the layout doesn't look all too exciting.
