Ugh, you're better than that Michael.

I preferred your Hachi avatar @05XR8, was a perfect picture.

Nothing to report about the show. I prefer that young lady(Katie Peck, Kate Beck?) to Jessica Yates. She's a little bit hyper, but at least she's running around, driving cars and dressed appropriately. Jessica Yates just sits there.

Anyway, the heat and the Mustang will be the topics for this event.

Anytime I watch something from RPM it makes me thankful that Matt White doesn't do commentary for the series any more.
Spare a thought for those of us still stuck with the 10 broadcast.

Besides pleasing the female demographic, what the hell has Peck done to qualify for her position of annoyance? She thinks she's so funny & I don't know about anyone else but, I don't find her oddball segments add any value to the broadcast other than adding yet another talking head :irked:

My first time seeing her. I haven't looked her up to know who she is. Guess she's a fresh face in my eyes.

I've never watched her myself but my brother made similar comments when we saw her doing a segment at the AMF a couple of years ago, albeit with a shed load of expletives and a generally lower opinion of her segments.... I trust his judgement :p.

He really was awful now that I think about it. I guess I didn't really care 8 or so years ago but after seeing some of the old races, I do cringe a little.

That's a good name for a movie.

Apparently Michael agrees with me.

My sincerest condolences.

I really miss the days of Leigh Diffey, Mark Ostler and Barry Sheene in the com box. Those three were great together. It'd be cool for retro round one year if they could get Leigh and Mark to do the race.

David Wall is saying he's lining up Professional drivers. I'd like to see Michael in a GRM Alfa, but Garry/Barry seem to favor young guns. I think Wall Racing will go with experience. Caruso makes sense in one of their Civics. We'll see.

Tickford blocked Chaz from driving in TCR. And yeah, he's only co-driving for them but would they do the same for Caruso? Think it'd be a contradictory if they let one guy drive in TCR and not the other.

Hmm, interesting point. I'd go with the point about he's only an enduro driver. It'd be like making an international driver stop driving a rival brand, if they were contracted for a Tickford enduro drive.

I can assure you Mark Oastler doesn't miss the Ch.10/Supercars gig & I'm pretty sure Diffey has moved onto bigger/better things too.

You've got more chance of getting Mike Raymond & Wilko :scared:

Shame I always liked Mark's commentary. Would take him over over Greg Rust any day. Not surprised that Leigh's career has taken off the way it has. He's easily one of the best in business. 👍

But when you put it like that. Sounds like there's more chance of bringing Barry Sheene back.

On second thoughts. Think I'll stick with Crompo and Skaife.

Each to their own but I reckon he's lost his mind!

Offers to go O/S with factory backing don't come around every Xmas & it may be quite a while before he gets another.
I definitely agree. As much as I'd hate to lose him, he should take that BMW deal(Imagine running in Super GT 300 or a DTM drive). Seems he's made his choice. On the flip, if drivers like Whincup and Giz don't and didn't want to leave Supercars, that's saying something. As well as Scott. He has plans, but not right now. Seems to be the same for Chaz.

When I watch other series, those look competitive, Super GT, DTM, NASCAR, GT3, GT4, TCR. I don't follow as hard as VASC, but those all look like drivers are fighting pretty close. Another thing is, I can't see what he sees.

The only thing I can think of is, he’s been shown interest from a certain Qld team co-owned by a Captain with offers of potential overseas gigs & Chaz is playing the long game.

I say Chaz->Penske. Even if he has an awesome year at Tickford, he'd have to take the #12 seat next year.

I doubt Penske is in the cards especially if Coulthard has a year that is more like 2017 than 2018. What is more interesting is that BMW has a long term racing plan, to the point they think they could have poached a driver who has a vast outlook ahead of him in VASC.

But bmw seem to be ready to play a game of cat and mouse themselves, and this isn't simply "hey you want to drive full time for us? Oh, no you say, okay see ya."

It's more like they knew he'd pick Supercars first and they're prepared to pursue him to change his mind.

I hope she was testing the simulator in an industrial oven or sauna. They're the only things I can think of that could come close to preparing her for the temperatures she's going to experience :scared:.
They told Simona the same thing and she said it wasn't as bad as she was told.

We'll soon see how Abbie's conditioning is. Plus S2 don't run as long as VASC. Will still be hot though.

I remember Leigh Diffey, but I don't remember listening to Mark Ostler or Barry Sheene.
