The bring the biggest and better update yet by the end of the month so people don't go play the new Forza :dopey:;)
🤣🤣🤣 I don't think kaz and his PD shares same opinnion....its not about playing its about buying the game...
forza is xbox
gt is ps
so I don't believe the bother about that..

update: same as always 3 cars some fixes and that's about it..track? in our dreams...maybe in February 2024..and last track location gt7 will get

It might influence some people that are on the fence just getting into racing. I ain’t going to buy an Xbox to play forza but if I didn’t have either system, I’d be going for whichever one looked the most enticing.

If all we get is one more track they really dropped the ball, maybe it’s because I despise the Tokyo tracks but GT7 really feels limited on track to run. Not to mention when a new track gets added it breathes new life into the game for quite some time. New cars, meh, maybe a month. A new track not just a new layout is many months. I still race Road Atlanta and Watkins Glen a lot.

I don't think there'll be any massive shiny thing to distract from Forza. Sony do care about what Microsoft do, but their anti-Forza/Starfield plan is Spider-Man 2, not updates to an 18-month-old game. (As an aside, wow is this next couple of months a good time for game releases!)

In terms of an actual attempt at a prediction based on (flimsy) logic, I'll go with:

  • 1 car that is a 2019 model year or later: We get at least one of these modern cars in 90% of updates. I also think this'll be a race car this time around just because there's been a recent drought there, so let's say the McLaren 720S GT3.
  • 1 car from the most recent datamine: I don't like using these, but the last one that was posted from the April update was actually quite predictive, having the Maverick, R32 Nismo, Giulia GTV, Impreza, Evo 3, and C1 in it. Going with the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle.
  • Something totally unexpected and random that's more suited to lobbies than Sport Mode: I haven't picked a Japanese car yet, and most updates have a Japanese car in them. Won't be Toyota again I don't think, so I'll go with the fun Subaru 360.

Yeah, in the line of what @hawkeyez said... There's a lot of people still playing on PS4 (me😅) or other systems (or none) that may jump into Forza or whatever is more hyped/less hated/better reviewed/sanctioned by the FIA/whatnot. Also GT is one of PS banners (as can be seen lately promoting VR2) which is ultimately an important Sony branch and they care about their image.

As big as Spider-Man 2 will be, it's still not for everyone. Most gamers will also want to play a number of different genres.

Out of interest I checked the Amazon PS5 Best Sellers.

UK #11 (2nd best selling 1st Party title behind Spider-Man 2)

Germany #7 (2nd best selling 1st Party title behind Spider-Man 2)

France #4 (2nd best selling 1st Party title behind Spider-Man 2)

US #5 (2nd best selling 1st Party title behind Spider-Man 2)

That could be, in part, a boost from the movie. But GT7 has been in and around the top 20 since launch.

Either way, I think it'd be remiss of Sony not to continue with substantial GT7 support. They would do very well with a Spec II re-release in their budget range (I think there's a PS5 budget range? Or at least should be one soon).

Oh, I agree, and I don't doubt Sony will continue to support GT for a while yet.

My point is more that, in the next two months, Baldur's Gate 3, Spider-Man 2, Alan Wake 2, Starfield, Super Mario Wonder, Sonic Superstars, and Assassin's Creed Mirage all come out, plus a bunch of the sports titles are releasing their next installment. I frankly even think Forza's new game release might struggle for oxygen in that crowded room of AAA titles, so I personally don't think timing a big overhaul update in there will get much traction either.

Just thought of a possible wildcard: What's the spec car that Super Formula Lights uses? We got Fraga's SUPER GT GT300 Lexus a couple of updates ago, and GT/Fanatec are sponsoring him in SF Lights too, so I don't think that's an impossible car to end up with in his livery.

Car being used is the Dallara 320 (Same car being used in Euroformula Open).

Here’s one I’m thinking might come to fruition. Autumn Ring and Autumn Ring Mini, just in time for fall. I’d be ok with that, Autumn Ring Mini was awesome for Karts. They just need to move that timer up and out of the way when in cockpit view for karts.

Decided to review a little bit my prediction
updated Suzuka
New Track Layout (I pick Northern Isle Rally Layout)
Various events
3 New Cars: 190E, Nissan R31 (or GR Yaris Rally2 Concept ), Ligier JS PX Movie Car
New Features: add an option for changing liveries and the setup to the rival cars when doing Custom Races,
add an option for lobbies to choose specific race categories (in the specific: add Multiclass)
Better payouts for custom races and more

Thanks.

That'd fill a gap in the car lineup too if they put it in, the open wheelers jump straight from karts to full fat SF/F1 cars, so a lower-power open wheeler in the middle would be a nice upgrade to the roster.

The X2014 Jr. fills the middle gap for now... sort of.

I know the 500E is a special and limited too, but half a million is way over the top, i think even 100.000 credits is a lot (depending on miles of course).

Three weeks of waiting for nothing.
Ok, let's not be so negative, here it is:

3 cars:
1. The Ectomobile from Ghostbusters
2. The KITT from Knight Rider
3. Herbie

New track: Tokyo during the tsunami wave with radiation water from Fukushima

3 NEW EVENTS: 10 laps at Nordschleife 600pp for 15.000cr
30 min. race with Jeep Willys at Special Stage Route X
2 laps at Northern Isle Speedway for 550.000cr
;)

I agree. But newer road cars are also boring. I'd love to see more race cars from different eras. Recently I'm obsessed with Le Mans cars of any sort.
Oh yeah that corvette time trial, man that thing is boring to drive. I don’t like how it handles either.
