What is that, a Carbon E7?

I don't miss the race info panel. I could probably drive without the HUD, car/driver names, and maybe the MFD. The only one that's interactive is the MFD.
I'm starting to pick my ride based on what it has in the VR model. The 787b shows you how many liters of fuel is left. The Living Legend and the GR Corolla have G force gauges. The 1999 GT-R 500 even has a clock! Most of the road cars have a gas gauge and a clock. All the Ferraris have useful stuff on the dash, same for the Porsches I've drove though I miss the speedometer in the 917k. In others, like the '18 Camaro, there are marks on the tach that give me a reference point for the power band.

I wish there was an option to add the leaderboard and a speedometer to the VR display, I would use them sometimes, but others I just wanna go cruise, and it's cheaper to run my PS5 than it is the rather powerful Ford in my driveway. Plus if I crash in the game, I just hit reset. If I crash IRL, this Ford might be in a thousand pieces.
I think the one thing which gets me from time to time is trying to run race c without a car equipped with a lap counter. It doesn’t bother me enough to enable the floating race info, but it would be nice as a slide between the maps and lap timings. Somewhat ignorable, but there when you need it. As for the rest, completely agree. However, one caveat, not being able to use a shifter in sport mode with the older rides kinda drives me batty. Before vr, who cared, but now its just kinda weird. I know they have reasons, and don’t care 😝 as im scratching the same itch as you.

Server maintenance 31/8. I have little expectations, but am curious whether it will bring any content.

I hope its before september 14, becouse if its not i will be busy with crew motorfest, and gt7 have to wait a while unless they bring something big, but september has to be a big update, considering the gap, and i dont just talking about cars, big expansions for career mode their is just not much to do, no new championchips since launch and no more high paying grinding races

Just give us 30-90 minute races with bigger payouts featuring a WIDE VARIETY of car types. I don't give 2 flips about Gr.1/2/3/4 events. GT has always been about street car/oddball racing. Leave GTx wannabees to ACC.

Don't need more tracks (we have plenty)
Don't need more cars (we have plenty)
Give us DECENT events to USE what we already have!

Are you trolling?

They have to be. One can't mention using a variety of cars and exclude race cars too. Race cars and GT go hand in hand just as much as the road cars and concept cars do.

I do get their point though. Most of the "end game" races either mandate racing slicks or are restricted to race cars.

There's very little content that makes use of "normal" road cars, for instance, at the same level. I would love more races like the Alsace and Kyoto Human Comedy missions.

“Normal” or street cars has always been a big deal in the early stages of GT games, yes, but as you progress you buy (or upgrade through racing modification) and race race cars. Race cars has always been a big part of GT games. Yes, I mostly enjoy driving and tuning street cars too, but to say ”GT has always been about street cars” is simply not true.

Also, to say we have enough cars and tracks already is kinda crazy. I mean, take JGTC for example (because it’s a Japanese game after all) which has one car from the ‘99 season, one car from the ‘97 season and only about half the number of the tracks present in the game.

I hear ya. I also think variety in the race cars is missing. Perhaps that's my misperception, but seems like heavy heavy focus on Gr.3 & Gr.4 cars, whether clones of IRL GT3/4 or completely fictional GT3/4's. Then toss in the ridiculous VGT race cars. I miss more JGTC cars and DTM (seriously, where's my DTMs). Part of it is that EVERY Daily Race B & C, EVERY week, are just for Gr.3/4 cars.

And coupled with the fact that BoP seems to be so difficult to achieve....realistically that pool of group cars shrinks considerably further if you are at the sharper/competitive end of things online.

Agreed, BOP is a joke. Then toss in Gr.2/3/4's are often selected for Time Trial events...I'm like, enough! LOL.

Classic tracks: Apricot Hill, Autumn Ring, El Capitan, Midfield Raceway, Rome, Seattle Circuit, Special Stage Route 5, Tokyo R246.
Real tracks: Twin Ring Motegi, Silverstone, Pikes Peak Hillclimb, Montreal.

Cars: Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca, Toyota GT-One, Nissan R390 GT1, Ruf CTR Yellowbird

Missions: 24 Hour races.

Surely this isn't too much to ask for one update

Thing s is, I’m sure PD have the data from way back in GT5 lobbies. My first foray into racing other humans was using my Standard 130d, tuned to whatever PP, in a Nurburgring room versus all kinds of cars with similar PP. Can’t see why all Daily races don’t have a couple weeks of that, to give the homologated race cars a break.
