Maybe, at some point, from the Toyota GR86 pool? Toyota Australia might like to see a racer move up. I mean, that could be handled by WAU, but I don’t see it happening.
 
Wow, another absolute thriller at Symmons Plains today! Payne manages to hold off a hard-charging Feeney by mere centimeters after a bold strategy play. This championship just keeps delivering. I haven't seen a season like this one for a VERY long time... perhaps not since 2006. Yes, I'm going there because the competition is soo tight and no-one seems to be above the rest. Cameron Waters dominated Sydney, Brown was fast in Melbourne, Payne was strong in Taupo and Feeney was soo close to winning all three races this weekend. If you ask me, these 4 drivers all have a shot at winning the championship.
 
I reckon these will be your Final 4 in Adelaide this year. And all 4 have won there in the last 2 years. This could go down to the last lap this year. I just hope we get a half decent Bathurst this year. Can't get worse than last right? Right?

Shouldn't be surprising GM are sniffing around a few of the big names. With Kostecki gone and now Brown and Feeney joining Ford. Doesn't leave GM much in the way of drivers capable of regularly competing for wins. Not sure why any one would make the switch given the uncertainty of GM remaining in the series beyond the next two of three years. But money does do funny things to people.

Too funny how T8 just swooped in on the Ford teams after DJR did all the hard work. Especially with what happened when Ford terminated T8s contract last time.
 
Petition to have every round held at Barbagallo if there is going to be at least one WAU car on the front row.

When was the last time the #2 car won a race. Pye at the GP in 2018? Gutted for Wood with whatever happened with his suspension in the second race. What a drive in the first one though. First of many wins hopefully.

I reckon he'll win today. In fact i believe it'll be a WAU 1-2. If Chaz was at the front and not doing that great recovery drive he did, i reckon he would've won. So if they are both at the front today, i don't think T8 can do anything about it.

That was such a bummer, glad Wood was able to secure his first win before that happened though and, at the very least, it wasn’t an unforced error on his part.

Gotta say, and I’m not sure if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but I’ve long grown tired of the Touring Car Masters series, so it’s refreshing to see some genuine Group N historic touring cars on the support card this weekend. It makes me long for the old Biante Touring Car Series, I loved the variety it had from Mustangs and Camaros, all the way down to 911’s, Mini’s and Alfa GTV’s.

That's the ones. Na, Nb and Nc. Proper production touring cars, and nothing newer than 1972. It was those that raced at the Adelaide 500 for years until Touring Car Masters came along, and with their always ongoing evolution, IMHO ruined it (sometime in the latter part of the 2000's I think it was).

Ah validation! To me it seem like TCM has just become another Improved Production series with a classic twist. But I’d rather have the two flavours of car spec separated.

All the rest are pretty 'meh' imho. Edit: Honourable mention to WAU too (whose livery I've only just seen), especially Ryan Wood's car. The orange lends itself well to the indigenous theme.
