What the hell was Mostert doing? He just kicked Brodie off the road! It's not the sort of thing I'd expect from him so I am quite shocked. Champions shouldn't do that ****, especially when there's nothing to gain from it. I suppose Feeney should thank Mostert for giving him the JR Trophy...

Yeah, I love Chaz but that defence wasn’t on. However, I do think both driver’s wheels interlocking made the result more violent than it ordinarily would be. Not to excuse it though, regardless of the outcome, it wasn’t a good move.

That said, weren’t Supercars investigating and even maybe testing new wheels last year? The racing has been so much better recently, but the interlocking and faulty wheel guns for that matter, have been doing a great job at ensuring the race product doesn’t reach its true potential.

Yes, they tested them last year and are supposed to be phasing them in this year.

With how similar they look to the old ones (slight spoke profile difference), and how vocal Brodie was about how bad the old ones were, it wouldn't surprise me if at the very least Brodie's car was running the new ones.

I doubt we'll ever find out if the new ones turn out to be duds as well for a long, long time though.

Bring these back.

Hmm, watched Facebook ad with Jessica Yates explaining the difference between GR and GR Sport. She introduced herself as a friend of Toyota. Smart move to grab some of that Toyota money.

I did suspect a strong reason why Toyota finally committed to the series, was to get ahead of any potential interest from a Chinese manufacturer joining. Think it's a good chance of happening within the next five years. Its hard to see any Euro brands wanting to jump in.

The issue being unless in these five years, they'll have to produce something that resembles a touring car, not a SUV crappy EV thing.

Even though it’s just TCM, I appreciate the TV broadcast jumping straight into a race after a brief intro.

Edit: I don’t appreciate them replaying the same piece with Sir Jackie Stewart from last year.

Hopefully this is more than just the track suiting the Supras. Stoked for the BJR crew to score a pole.

I’m just happy TWG weren’t going to left behind like what happened at the start of COTF. At least with Volvo they weren’t having any of the past shenanigans. Might have been different if Mercedes-Benz were a factory effort and if Nissan took the series seriously.

So glad we’re not waiting several years to see these results from the Supra.

Back to Mustang cup today...
Don't worry, Supercars will BOP the Mustang out of contention.

GM are still the favoured brand. Two cars were found to be illegal in the shootout. No prizes for guessing which brand car was not penalised and which one was. Apparently it was less illegal
