You have to hold down the button to continue to recieve nitrous. Tapping it only gives you a very tiny boost. Basically the amount of nitrous fed into your engine depends on how long you hold down the R1 button.

Hold button down until it runs out, or tap it in small bursts until it runs out. It's not a toggle switch.

AH thanks to both of you for that. Now I can get back to assigning my buttons. What you said ianoflo85 puts me to rest on something ("until it runs out"; so it's a limited amount, like a bar I guess, that you can variably use etc. That changes things for me, now).

Yes, it shows on your HUD so you can see how much you have used/have left. Though I've never used it myself, it's a bit expensive at 100k.

When I used a controller I would map the nitrous to the top left trigger brake on the bottom left and throttle on the right bottom makes it easy to hit and hold while giving it the beans

Nope, which is why many 400PP-500PP lobbies restrict nitrous to prevent people from getting the edge on the competition.

I drove my Evo VI today and the Nitro didn't work. When I pressed the nitro button the nitro was drained but I didnt get any boost.

R2 accelerate, L2 brake, R1 reverse, L1 nitrous, triangle look back, o e-brake, x/square accelerate/brake (laid out in two setups so hands don't tired of one position in the longer races... highly recommended) and right stick to shift...

Nope. It looks like the Forza layout. Clutch would be x. It's a very intuitive layout if you think about it. Just rock your thumb across x/[] or x/o to shift.

It seamed to do noyhing on my Lancia Delta, On my rocket LCC however it turns it into....well a rocket!

In my gt500, the acceleration is much less controllable and I spin out, as apposed to normal gas. I think it affects accel. It wouldn't make any sense without.
