great racing last night, lots of new faces. every position was worth fighting even if your in last place. 👍

there was a lag on one of the racer that made the 3rd or 4th race such a hassle from the start. But everyone was trying to kep it clean in such a tight course. I apologized if i bump somebody by mistake and didnt realized it during that night race. i need some night vision googles!

WiiFreak just got back to me now and wants to run the following tonight...

I have chosen the Suzuki Cappuccino '95 on Autumn Ring Reverse. The Cappuccino is good in the twisty stuff, and Autmn Ring is a twisty track so they naturally go together well.

Any objections?

Someone suggested running the Fiat 500 yesterday and I don't know if anyone has prepared it yet. Unless someone objects, let's do the Capp since I think more drivers have one ready to go.

I guess I gotta get one and tune it.

what is the pp for the cappuccino race?

i know race modded you can get to 450, but it is a bit much for it.

What does it get to w/o Race Mod? I'm guessing it is over 400 right? In that case, it will basically be up to suspension tuning if you want an edge on the competition.

so, just max the thing out then huh.

So just to be clear Cappuchinos with every mod up to 450 WITHOUT being race modded?

I wanted to thank everyone for some fun racing last night. I enjoyed all the races around the 'Ring that I competed in. My PSN is dawson864 and I was the nut in the Shelby Mustang for one of the events :P

Take care and see you guys next time!

Yes. that is the plan. Not sure if i'm going to make the first race tonight. If I can't make it, I'll let everyone know beforehand. Otherwise, look for the room around 9:30.

just verified.

brand new, not broken in, fully modified (no adjustable aero) comes out to 452pp. depending on which turbo, could be 449pp.

so yes, the cappuccino can be 450pp WITHOUT RM!

ok, perfect. That should keep things fair between those who have theirs broken in and those who don't. I know it isn't much but 5-8 pp can make a difference on the straights when it comes to passing.

your Mustang was fast. try to join in the 80's series or the muscle car series with that thing. :)

so, its gonna be the Cap for tonight eh, i only got the RM one so i need to buy anothe one then.....

Looks fun! I'll be there tonight in my Cappucino :)

Guess I'll put the Fiat back in the garage and buy me a Cappuccino...lol.

I'm going to have to lobby the winner to pick the 500 for next week. :sly:

Hrm... I can't seem to find the room :( Anyone have the room number?

NM, got it :p

Where is it?

I started on one but it never came out of the black screen.

I'm having internet issues so I'm not going to be able to race tonight 👎

I was in... then i backed out and when I came back in I was disconnected.

I restarted everything... twice... 3 times.... and still being disconnected from the room.

Everything else works fine. I was connected just fine.

I'm not sure what the deal is but I'm not unplugging things and wiring my ps3 different. just too much work.

These connection issues seem to be getting worse. I really don't understand what is going on. Before the PSN outage we never had this kind of trouble.

WiiFreak, you missed some great racing. I wish you were able to stay because I have no idea how you were getting 1:28s at Autumn Ring. I could only muster up a 1:29. Did you have a wing installed?

London was my favorite race of the evening. I started 2nd with Yuri I think on the pole. He quickly moved to the inside so I switched to the outside. I carried more speed through the first turn and pulled ahead before the 2nd turn. I ran up front for several laps and then I caught some air on the high-speed left. When I landed my rear tires went instantly red. I learned from practice that is best to just slow down and wait for the tires to go white again. I'll have to watch the replay but I think Yuri paniked because when I got back up to speed it was voldemort behind me. I was still shaking off the near accident and I missed a braking point through the sharp turns. He got a moderate jump on me so I let him by. I chased for a few laps and finally made a pass exiting turn 1. I held him off for several laps. I almost went wide on the final turn and must have been inches from the left side wall before the front straight. I lifted off and pulled the car in tight. voldemort wasn't so lucky. He scraped the wall just enough to lose my draft and I had a safe gap for the remainder of the race. I'll upload that video this afternoon.

Tsukuba was fun too. I let everyone pass at the beginning and watched drivers drop like flies in front of me. Cujo's plan was to follow me but that didn't work out so well for him. After 3 laps of battling traffic, I was 5 seconds behind Yuri with 7 laps to go. Each checkpoint I was a little bit closer. One more lap and I would have caught him. I ended up 6 10ths back.

Chuyler, have you found a solution to you're lancer's understeer? I'm having the exact same problem with my new silvia. The only difference is when I try to correct it by tapping the brake or letting off, it oversteers badly. I should be there tonight.

I have managed to dial a bunch of it out, but it still doesn't rotate like other cars. I added 200kg of weight to the back, messed with ride height, and spring rates. I almost never run stiff spring rates but I had to do something to get the weight off that outside front tire which was turning red on every corner. I think I'm running 0 front height and -5 rear height. Very stiff rollbars and very stiff springs, stiffer in the front than the rear. I'm also running like 1.5 camber in the front and only 0.5 in the rear. So basically I pulled out every trick in the book and it still isn't as fast as some of the other 450 cars.

For those who thought they were having trouble with their Cappuccinos, feel free to try my tune. I was getting 1:29-1:30 on Autumn Ring Reverse...but WiiFreak was hitting 1:28 with his tune. I might have been able to match it with more practice but this was the first time I've run that course.

I've also tried almost everything and even tried a wing. Nothing worked and I may just have to give up on this car. I guess some cars are just better than others.

I too was dropped a couple times while speccing last night. I think the connection issues are due to PD's move to a new location, which has also prevented them from rolling out updates since the June 7th update. Once they get everything settled, per one of the last news posts, then updates should resume.

Really disappointed that I had to miss out last night. I was looking forward to it, sounds like it was some fun and close racing.

Last night I was running this tune. I did have a spoiler on the car, but in order to max out the downforce I had to add ballast to stay under the pp limit. I think I could have done a 1:27 if I got a few more laps in. It sucks I couldn't stay for the racing, but I should be racing tonight as I've tuned up a few cars to 450pp and I haven't properly tested them out yet :)

Interesting tune. I never drop my cars that much or run that much camber...but looking at the numbers, I can see how this tune would work. The rear downforce allows for more rear camber and stiffer springs. However, I bet I would have kept up with you on the track and been able to draft pass and slow you down. I'm uploading the replay now and you can see how easily i was able to use the straights to catch anyone with a wing.

i missed the race last night due to some sudden changes. :(

Now i realized why im having problem with my wheel. i put my settings to Amateur, it should have been Simulation with forcefeedback dial in at 10. What a difference it made. My steering inputs where more precise and i could "feel" each turn with none of these floaty inputs which have caused me to spun several times.

I think I run simulation mode with FF=5 on my DFGT. Some people on the board argue simulation mode isn't supported by the DFGT but it lets you select it...and I notice a difference.

its a big difference Chuy, there were some cars that i was afraid to drive with my DFGT hence i been swithcing to my DS3 from time to time.... but now i could drive then easy. Only problem is my tunes have to be adjusted as its leaning more on understeer on Simulation mode as oppose to the snap oversteer when my settings were on Amateur mode!
Some of you guys notice that when following me i just cant keep a decent line for you to draft it's probably because of the "lose" feeling i felt when driving that i tend to correct 3x more than you guys resulting to some loss of control on my part.

If some of you guys with DFGT havent tried it, i encouraged you to do so. its like night and day.
