wow. thank you. someone that sees things realistically. and superlemon, i was never nitpicking...i simply stated it wasnt a law then dozens of people come at me running their lip based on something they read or something they heard etc...am i not allowed to try to explain things? i was actually just quite amazed that so many people disagreed with me. i know this is a video game board but damn. why do people think low centers of gravity are desired? the same goes for weight transfer in lateral acceleration. body roll comes from the same thing. its just acceleration/decellaration on a different axis. why do u think pontiac flaunts their wide stance? cuz its all about the relationship between where the center of gravity is and the pivot point (the outside edge of the tires roughly during lateral acceleration). to all the people arguing with me (and now A_Newbie), play video games first, teach vehicle dynamics after a couple of years of college.

and for the people now backpedalling and saying that its a law for cars in particular...dont be so sure. technology moves pretty quick so dont be amazed if the Cg is lowered enough to prevent severe dipping (since u want a little dipping for cornering is some situations). 40 years ago, america probably never imagined a car with a weight distribution like the Z06 had with the C5's. transmissions in the rear, paperweight composites, and the future of materials leave a lot of paths to take. also, as ive said before. vehicles have already incorporated electric motors in the hubs of wheels and these could significantly reduce/lower the weight of a car that is seen by the axle. but i think im done with this thread now unless something even more ridiculous comes up.
