Boat?

Well, it looked like it shot off the end of the Carrier, away from any parked jets. Oh, and I meant targeted "bogies."

They either hit jets, or they go way off target and hit something else.

My theory though is. Osama was in a Rubber Dinghey trying to flee from Irag. However he didn't notice the big aircraft carrier, he was paddling into. The missile saw him and fired itself. No one pressed any buttons. It's like they have been programed to fire at anything fitting Osama's description. Regardless. (I wish)

Notice the F/A-18 is on the recovery portion of the flight deck. He probably came in for a trap (landing) and the sidewinder (missle) somehow came loose and skitted the rest of the way down. If it was accidently fired, there'd be a much larger plume of smoke. (not to mention the flames)

But the missle was still armed. . . notice the arming flags are not on the warhead. . .

I don't think running away is going to help too much, but isn't there a distance on the Sidewinder it has to travel before it truly arms the warhead??? or am I thinking of another missile???
