Anyone else notice that Mars has had some kind of earthquake? TM's avatar has a fault line right across it. It looks like a portion of the planet is going to break off into space at any moment. :scared:

Bram, this may sound like a complicated request, but is it possible to make an avatar similar to the BMW ones you made with these 2 vehicles?

(obv. in the 2nd pic, it's the miniature I'd like to see.)

If not possible, thank you anyways for taking the time to look. :)

I bet no one can make a reflection with my avatar.

EDIT: It is NOT transparent. I had to copy GTP's background for this PNG file.

One for McLaren

Racer - Lost quality on the 'Terrible Post' so I left you some space for it.

Thanx for the +rep Racer. 👍

Like I said before I'm just doing thing for extra practise on Photoshop. :)

A piece of advice, don't flatten out the cars like that. A real life reflection of a car will have the same dimensions as the car it is reflected from 👍 The dimensions will only change if the surface the car is placed upon changes in elevation or things like that

Mclaren;

There is a major factor with the Diablo that make it difficult. Both I and Turbo Lag got the reflection wrong, though it sounds easy to make, it's incredibly hard to get the reflection right because of the perspective of the car. Any head-on image is easy to deal with but once it changes perspective, tricks have to be used. A correct reflection would be under the entire car, wheels-wheels, body-body and nose-nose. Like I said, sounds easy but it is in fact very difficult. I'll try to look into some sites to get the perspective of the Diablo right, the Mclaren should be correct

Like so:

Firstly, I agree 90% with Bram. 👍

I tried the Lambo but it didn't look quite right. When I done the bus for Racer I had to warp the pic slightly to recreate the reflective angle. Done the same with the F1 GTR for McLaren. Click here! to see both.
They are a lot more difficult when they are past a certain angle. Although if the angle to the reflective surface is viewed from a certain height over the object, the reflection will not have the same visible dimensions.
A couple of examples...

Secondly, Your McLaren doesn't look right Bram. Theres no reflection directly under the car, and you can see the top of the car in the reflection. You've said one thing but your pic shows another. Nice try though.

Heres mine, original post #3465.

The problem with those are that they are too flat, the Mclaren is a great example to use: I would only use such a small reflection when the camera angle only captures little of the side. On this shot, the side is very visible so you only have to correct the angle a few millimetres 👍
