It was a fun race for about three laps, then I got shoved sideways and then into the wall as I was trying to save it. Spent the rest of the race turning laps by myself...
No worries. There is nothing stated in your rules about penalties for aggressive driving, so I take that to mean differences should be settled on the track...
Indy Speedway Sunday 10-23-11 the setting for the second round of The American IROC Series. Aceboy127 set on the pole. At the start of the event Aceboy127 and TrackBound7 Where very fast when hooked up drafting together. Bowtie52 and PropFouler got together on lap 4 and sent Prop in the wall both continued but Prop couldn't catch the lead pack after that. Would end up 4th at the end of the day. Jackjam3 had car problems and retired early in the event. Greest_Lightnin Had handling woes and pitted on lap 16 after spinning. Prop pitted on lap 20. Ace, Track, and Bowtie Traded Positions till lap 21 when they pitted. Cmick64 pitted on lap 21 as well. Track lead Bowtie and Ace out of the pits and they where spaced out just enough that they could not draft back to gather for a wile. On lap 30 a lap car spun in front of Bowtie and Ace and collected them both. They had hooked up and where chasing TrackBound down. After that TrackBound was able to cruse to the victory. Good race.
There was talk of running a second car, but as I discussed with Bowtie in a PM, I think that takes away from IROC. IROC had been Camaro/TA based for so long, and was focused on a spec type series. I think to keep the name of the league, and the interest of the members (at least speaking for myself), I think the one make, RM Camaro is a great way of keeping it.
I like the idea of it being gold chrome like a trophy. I can send another gold chip at some point for that. I think that car would look good in my garage =)
Hoping to be on for practice tonight and hoping to race tomorrow. A lot depends on this weather we are dealing with in New England. Good possibility of power outages, so we will see.
