It's in a private lounge, so you must be friends with someone from the list to join.

Too risky with a full room.
Once people start dropping out (they always do) maybe we'll allow them.

Someone's gonna die.

I think there was a point, when i braked, even though i braked early, it braked a mile ahead then it should, and i hit sinlander, hopefully he didn't get any damage.

It was my first ever race with 2 classes, and a new experience, so it was a bit weird, some GT car's gave way on the left, others on the right, i was trying to be really careful to not ruin anyone's race.

YOU COST ME THREE SECONDS! Lol, so un-important when battling for second last.

I noticed that I'm either the world's BEST NASCAR driver EVER or my BMW has too much power. OP says 590. Correct?

Also, I need to figure my tires out. I was scammed once in the pits (who would put hards on the front tires anyways?) but I still could only stay out 5-6 not 7-8.

Anyways, in the race, almost every lap was about 1:45.000 with one at 1:44.399. Thanks for the help up to 320 km/h Seth! Heheh...

I also don't know why but I was rear ended by a madman RUF RGT.

A couple things: Daytona will favor cars with higher HP. The beamer will struggle more at a track like Monaco, whereas the ford or ferrari should shine more. So it'll even out, I imagine.

Second, GT cars are supposed to hold the optimal racing line. LMPS are supposed to pass off-line or on a straight. So GTs getting over is just confusing and makes the pass slower.

My race was a little frustrating when I could only get 7 laps out of softs. Praiano's tune is maybe too tail-happy, though it is fast. It eats back tires like a beast. If I went over 7 I ended up spinning the whole way.

Sorry if I got in the way with anyone, tried to stay as clean as possible. It was fun. 3-4 for GTPug team!

Im going to be making weekly videos with standings in them, kind of like sportscenter or something but without commentary. For now im just going to post the results of the race.

(the video playing is not what im making, its just cool to listen to)

I want to be put on reserve. I just dont have the time to set the car up anymore. The tune I had tonight was ok I guess. On top of that I just didnt have the stamina to finish the whole race.

Thats unfortunate, but i understand because life comes first. We were running 1-2 for a few laps there in the middle part of the race, was looking forward to having you as a teammate all season long. Jump in when you can 👍

After an unpredictable season opener at Daytona, the GTPlanet American Le Mans Series heads to Speedway, Indiana for Round 2, at the Indianapolis Road Course.

I hope in Indy we get another full house. I think I never saw a race where we had all 16 slots used up.

And thanks for the results, Kevin.

That was a fun but easy race TBH. I really thought it was going to be more challenging especially with guys qualifying so close in terms of times. Once the pace lap was over it just looked like the guys behind me couldn't hold it together. I'm not sure what happened. Hopefully Indy is closer. There was a couple of incidents in traffic, but mostly it was a clean straight forward race and a good way to open up the season. I was able to keep the tires together for 10laps on softs without little screw ups or mistakes. The 2nd stint I had a little mishap and took some life out of the tires and only did 9 laps on softs. So the 3rd stint I put on mediums and did 12 laps. I didn't take enough fuel so I had to make 2 more stops instead of 1. Ended up pitting 5 times, funny thing was I lost a good amount of time in the pits because as soon as I entered my pit box was right there. So it gave me the options on tires and fuel as it was pulling to a stop! This is another reason I didn't fuel enough during my stops as I was in a rush to just get tires on and dropped fuel added to 0 liters. Hopefully that doesn't happen next Friday, it shouldn't because of the long entrance to the pits.

Well i have the worst start ever, lol... when i try to recover my Psn turn off!!! :grumpy:

Someone bumped me while I was passing the Ford on the exit of 7 onto the oval. Huge speed boost: yes Scary: YES!!

well, i never touched you, but it might have been different for you, i was closing down fast, as you were passing a Ford GT, i was going to take the right, but you quickly closed the door, i was quick on the brakes.
But i didn't touch you, but, the game probably said otherwise for you.

A similar thing happened today in the Indy series, i got hit on the second to last lap, but apparently, know one said they touched me.

Will our worst round be dropped?

Same here

Seth, my main problem was tire wear. I hadn't practiced for that, and my fastest lap was 1:35 in the race. I qualied 1.36, which was three seconds slower than your fastest. You were faster than everyone by a second on your flyer. Add all the little spin outs I had from running my soft tires to 0 in no more than 7 laps, and all the pit stops, and it caught up to me fast. I'm determined to do better next race. I might look for a more stable tune somewhere. Anyone have suggestions? I think Pipi's is listed on the tune thread. Praiano's is fast I will give him that, but after the tires are half-gone it's a nightmare to drive.

Oh! Sorry. I was passing the Ford actually. He gave me JUST enough room. So, I had to hit my apex to avoid the Ford GT. I felt a HUGE thud, and after almost spinning in turn 1 lap 1, I was scared to spin again. Damn, the outside of turn 1 was freaking slippery though. I DIDN'T want to hit the Corvette in turn 1, so I used too much room.

Personally I think those battling for position have more of a right to take the pass than a different class. I don't know what the real regulation is, but as a P driver I think once a GT pass is made they will both resume the line and it's safer to make it by.

You're not even that guy (not THAT_GUY) I blocked in the chicane as I was passing the other GT traffic, but, you're talking like you saw it. I think it was Pawel. We went two wide through the chicane. The DP car had to just wait.
