I will be on soon enough, gatrs. Recovering from 10 12-hour days of graduate residency. Maybe sometime next week I'll be back at it. I have no idea about the driver-switching stuff for Le Mans (rFactor). Seems complicated. I'll let you know.

I'm not speaking to you. :grumpy:

I dunno man. I'd feel bad if you were putting out that kind of money and then some of us not show.

I think I'm gonna have to get another computer. The one I got is somehow for community use around the house now. :grumpy:

Might just get a cheap one for everyone else to use. Setting everything up on that computer was a pita.

Passwords are powerful things. :sly:

You'd be more than welcome to pitch in a few dollars. :dopey:
Macs are really easy to set up. They're supposed to be plug it in and it's ready to go. They're useless for anything else though. :sly:

I don't have a computer like that (just a laptop) or else I'd look into the R Factor thing. Would be interesting to see what kind (if any) LMP1's they'd have.

Kevin has been running rFactor off of his lap top.
They have nearly any LMP you can possibly imagine. From the 1950s up to today.

Gatrs, werent you working on a GTP livery? I really need to get back onto rFactor. When do you guys practice again?

TT13 got someone to do one for us. It looks pretty good.
We can get on right now if you want. :sly:

Since GT5 is kicking me out of servers left, right and centre.... I'm probably not going to be able to make it to the last race of the season.

I was contemplating not doing it anyway since I'm having coneection issues and I'm pretty much WELL off the front runners anyway, then I thought against it, but now I'm definitely considering not bothering to turn up to the last race.

Parents are too stingy to even consider ME PAYING THE EXTRA THAT GOES WITH AN IMPROVED INTERNET SERVICE. And PD seriously need to sort out their servers. Seems like if your connection isn't type 1, PD hates you.

Sucks man. I thought for sure I would have a solid enough connection to let you race. I live in a neighborhood where all my neighbors are much older. So my peak times are like between 5 and 8 pm. Then they all go to sleep.

Thing was I was in a lobby with you earlier that day and it was all fine and dandy then... That's was REALLY sent me over the edge of my patience.

To give you an idea of the specs im running with, its an Intel Pentium T4200 / 2.0 GHz Dual Core processor, 2gb RAM and an Intel GMA 4500MHD 256mb card. I bought this laptop about 4 years ago at best buy for 400 bux and it came with Vista. I can run rfactor on medium settings at best.

I have Nat Type 2 and never have issues, i have high bandwidth though.

I just purchased iracing, got the 3 months for the price of one deal. Surprisingly the game runs fairly smooth on my laptop, graphics are dumbed down of course but it looks just as good if not better than rfactor settings. Probably gonna be on this thing for a few hours and try it out :)

I've had issues at Type 2 and high bandwidth before. I think mine might've been type 3 last night and on the night of the ALMS race, but still I've had issues with connection at Type 2. I find it funny that on the weekend nights, my connection magically becomes a pleb, though... so it might be my ISP.

I think its time I dug deep into my pockets and contributed more money to pay towards amazing internet.

I tried that, and took a connection test of it straight after. There's about 50m of cable separating the modem router from my access point, but just enough length to fit the ethernet cable direct to my PS3. Still didn't do anything, and was still at Type 2 connection.

Hmm...I thought the difference between nat1 and 2 was that nat 2 just meant you were wireless.

Either wqy, it doesnt seem like its helping you any.

You just need new internet or something. I have my PS3 wired to the router and I get type 2 with a 'Very High' rating.

I think because the modem we use is a modem router I probably can't get Type 1 connection since router has wireless enabled, but I'm not computer-literate enough to really know these things.

Currently I'm wired to my access point.

That doesn't make sense. It's just him. He can't connect to my room either. No one else had a problem with it.

I have type 2 connection and I have had no problems joining anyone. My bandwidth is standard as well.

Mine is exactly that, at this moment in time.

That is weird. Make sure no one else at your house is on the internet when you are trying to race. you may be trying to share bandwidth.

When i connect straight to the modem i get Type 1, when i connect through the router i get Type 2 on hard wire and wireless. I would keep it hooked to the modem directly but for some reason i get disconnect issues, like Seca. I tried to work around not being seen by Storm and it wound up costing me the whole race.
