Another Fanatec wheel arrives!

Hi,

I have not been able to get NFS Shift PS3 version to recognise the Turbo S wheel, using a USB cable.

Anybody have any experience with this combination ?

Thanks for the replys, I have tried the above.

The buttons on the Turbo S Wheel are functional, however the actual steering wheel and pedals are not. In the controller options there is a picture of the PS3 pad only.

Thomas / Fanatec any ideas please ?

I play NFSS on my PS3 using my PWTS hooked up via USB all the time - never had an issue. I don't have a gamepad turned on at the same time I use the wheel, not sure if that matters.

Also - when do you turn on the wheel and put it into PS3 mode in relation to when you turn on the PS3?

I'm currently a DFGT user and recently I've been watching more and more towards the 911 Carrera wheel, but there is one thing that I would like to find out.

The thing that I like in DFGT, is the possibility to use flappy paddles for gear changing and put the handbrake on the sequential gear shifter. I like this setup a lot when driving some rallying. Even though it's not a real handbreak, I don't think I can go back for a simple button handbreak. And I guess that the H-shifter in Carrera wheel is not suitable for this kind of use, because naturally the gearstick wont auto return to neutral.

I see that in Fanatec webshop there is also possibility to buy a H-shifter+sequential shifter for 49,95€. This way I could use paddle shifters for changing gears and sequential shifter as a handbrake for rally and then H-shifter for track racing (in track racing I could live with button handbrake). In Carrera wheel recommended accessiores list there is:

- Porsche wheel Shifter set (to add sequential shifter)

Still the price is the same 49.95€. Does this mean that I have to pay 49.95€ for only sequential shifter or that I would end up with 2 H-pattern shifters and one sequential shifter? Either solution does not make sense for me, I would like to get only sequential shifter added to the Carrera wheel package, with naturally less price than what accessory pack for H-shifter + sequential shifter costs.

Of course the best option would be the rumored handbrake, but is it still far away from production?
 
I was confused because of that red text that appeared when i added it in the cart and it said that wheel does not exist in the desired quantity or something like that. So if i order it now,will I recieve it in time? (You know when :D )

It came today, I spent the last 2 hours fabricating a bracket to mount the pedals to the Playseat Evolution, and then drill the holes in the mount for the wheel. Finally got all that done. I havent had much time to use it yet, and probably wont till next week. I took it for a quick spin in GT5P and man was I impressed. I cant wait to really put this thing to the test, and for F1 2010 on Tuesday.

First impressions are WOW!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍👍

I havent had much time to use it yet, and probably wont till next week. I took it for a quick spin in GT5P and man was I impressed. Hey man I've got a few questions for ya, since you got the same wheel I'm intending to buy...

Did you have to change your system date time to like before Dec 2008 or something and I don't know where you live, but how long did shipment take??

No, you don't have to hcange the system date. GT3 RS V2 supports PS3 completely and you don't have to do anything to make it work. You also don't have to worry that any future game might not work with it.
GT3 RS V1 had limited PS3 support and you have to change the date for it to work on a PS3.
 
As sonac said above, I didnt have to change a thing to make GT5P work. Just plugged and played.

As for shipping I ordered it on 9/7, it shipped on 9/13 got to me on 9/17. I live in the USA, it came from California to Pennsylvania. I think its pretty good time frame, from start to finish.

I live in Belgium and I think their HQ is in Germany, so maybe I can get it a little bit faster; one way or the other I'll be ready when GT5 rolls out !
 
My new Turbo S and Clubsports. Took the clubsports and half of my playseats evo to a local metal worker who made some modifications for me so I could mount them properly. They were also able to sort the problem I hit with one of the screws getting stuck on the clubsports when I'd tried to take them apart. I had the pedal base plate angle lowered slighly and with the rear suppot bracket in place it's rock solid. Press that brake pedal as hard as you want, it ain't going anywhere :) Pedals and support can be moved to suit both right and left foot braking.

all these pictures make me cant wait for when i get mine! its a real shame it will take till Christmas time for the clubsport shifter prototypes to get there. im not getting the wheel till it comes out or at least has a preorder date.

Where did you read or here this was going to be release at Xmas time ?....thats not to far away from now...this is a 1st

This year, and I said prototypes. they said it earlier in this thread if i am not mistaken, but they will only be there is everything keeps going right.
 
I love my GT3 rs wheel too I'm in the process of doing a V2 upgrade to it and a stealth black paint job to it as well this rig we use for Iracing ATM

You can buy them anyway and check the quantity we have in stock for immediate deliver in the checkout process.

Does this mean that the wheel hasn´t arrived yet to them (supposed to arrive on 19th) or that it is sold out already? Sorry again but i really want to buy it but dont know what that means. Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, they ship next month.

We (GTP/Fanatec) will be giving away a Carrera Wheel in an upcoming contest (as well as the Rennsport Wheelstand). The contest details will be revealed shortly, as soon as all the specifics are worked out.

Well as i think i won´t have any kind of chance in any contest and Czech Rep wouldn´t be included i have no option but to buy it. :) So for the last time and simple ( sorry :D ) : If i order it now, will i recieve it in the mid October or they already "sold" all the wheels? (because the first day the wheel was available i dont remember that red *** text being there)

Oh and BTW they appearently recieved those wheels so i am really confused.
