My local Walmart confirmed having the game in stock yesterday also. I'm most likely getting it tonight at midnight.

what are the chances of me talking my local "gay"mstop into giving me my game today some how? i've came up with a plan. i'm telling them how my uncle is a u.s marshall. and a wanted fugitive is playing this game somewhere in the american arab emirates. at which that point he won't want to interfere with a federal investigation, and thus surrender my collectors edition instead of holding it ransom all night.

There are three Asda's close to me. I phoned the nearest and they said stock will be arriving Friday. I then phoned one of the others and they are doing a midnight launch. The store that said they are doing the midnight launch is the branch at Astley Bridge, Bolton.

Ok, I tried it and called Target. For the first 5 minutes or so while I was holding on the phone, I thought it was going to work. The sales rep. who answered the phone said he didn't have it; I told him I had just spoken to the store manager(gave him her name) and that the game was on storage, so he went to get it there. In effect they do have it(DAMN IT!!) But after talking when he came back from storage and scanning it on the computer, he told me that it couldn't be sold till the 24th. I replied again(raising my voice this time lol) that I had just spoken to the store manager(gave him her name again) but he said the store could lose their liscence for selling a game in advance of a date the computer indicated and that not even the store manager could do that.. blah blah blah.. lol, oh well, I decided to call it quits right there. At least I gave it a try. He did say that Walmart may have it by midnight sice they open 24hrs though..what do you think??

My plan was to use the guys name that told me it would be there and basically raise my voice saying I drove 1hr 30mins to pick this game up if they made any problems between me and my GT5.

I tried telling you guys. Unlike Phoenix, I actually work in Electronics, and I assure you our system WILL NOT ALLOW us to sell it before the 24th. It doesn't prompt you on the PDA Phoenix, only when you try selling it on the register.

Look you can do all the yelling you want but it wont change anything, our registers will not allow us to sell anything street dated. PERIOD. No LOD or STL can change that at all whatsoever.

Yeah, that's a good idea. Just make sure you talk with someone who can speak English properly. Most of the workers at the Wal-Mart near my house can only speak Spanish or Indian. While you're there, let us know if Wal-Mart will have a Midnight Release since they are 24 hours lol

So much for preordering. I preordered and paid in full for my CE at Gamestop. There's a WalMart a mile away from that store that will surely start selling it at 12:01 tonight. This was gonna be the first game ever I would attend a midnight release store opening for. Oh well. Tomorrow at 10 it is.

I feel sorry for all of the GT fans who pounced on a pre-order and now have to wait that out in agony, cursing every shipping update that doesn't say "out for delivery" while I (and I'm sure most other users browsing this thread) will have the game in my physical possession tonight at approximately 12:01 Thank God I kept my pants on and thought this one out ahead of time!
