I can understand the feeling that this game is lacking in content, especially compared to gt5, but I know that there will be updates. More content is coming. I get bored with every game i play eventually. Like gt5. I was bored with that before I even completed it but it was because I played it restlessly and wore my mind out.

Maybe play less and when you do play try turning the HUD off. Gives a nice feeling to the game.
I play with HUD off everytime with narrow cockpit view... I also play once a week...

Gave the game away weeks ago. I went back to GT5, at least there are some seasonal "chase the rabbit" seasonals which can be a challenge

So far, GT5 did had a longer lasting appeal...I'm to the point where a lot of games are just so boring now. Maybe it has to do with time. GT6 is way more fun than GT5 however, something is still missing....

GT6 is no way more fun than GT5 the game play in GT6 is pathetic to say lease that's why I am going back to GT5 until PD makes GT6 more appealing to players and when would that be who knows.

I hope there is a big update... They haven't updated in a while, so it must be a big update...

What is this game play you speak of? The game play of GT hasn't changed since the first one. What are people expecting?

Oddly, I hear the same comments from the folks who play online, that they never bother with offline unless they need money. That's been the case for GT5 and GT6. I doubt there is any offline experience that will ever be better than racing other people.

I've stopped caring about my login bonus. So yeah, starting to get a little bored. I'm waiting for the promised features PD couldn't shut up about prior to release more than anything else.

Simply put, online isn't for everyone and some of us would like better AI in the future.

I loved gt6 when it came out, but the buzz did not last very long.
I had high hopes for the basemodel cars and the online part. However the the basemodels lack liveries and more color customisation and soem cars don't even have a so called basemodel. (yes SLS Gt3 and Z4 Gt3 i look at you and others too)
The online part is terrible. I expected it to be allot better then the GT5 lobby but it isn't. Finding a room that drives the cars you like, (and no perma nürnberg) is just a reall pain in the butt.

And why oh why does Gt6 still see upgrading and normal racetuning the car as the same thing? This is rediculous for a racecar series. In order to change aero and suspension setting you also have to enable the posibility to let people upgrade the car and then just downtune the car. A terrible design flaw.

Bring the track developer allready, so we can copy real life tracks!

I haven't played GT6 for months now. In fact i don't even have it connected to the tv.

This is long, sorry, but if you race offline and think the AI could be better, please read it.

"Better" AI is a complete...ABSOLUTE...impossibility. Everyone that hopes for this might as well hope for a lottery win. The reason is that no matter how good the AI is, it has to be made to go easy on the player or it will be impossible to beat. I know this as a fact, not as an assumption, it is a fact. No matter what approach you take, you have to tell the AI to let the player be competitive in the same way a parent lets a child be competitive when playing together. Every attempt to add some type of human fault to the AI will come across lame. The cars fight each other now, they crash when racing too close to each other now. All the things that everyone is asking for happens right now in the game.

AI has no emotion, no desire to win (remember this one). It just does what it's told to do. That last part is the linchpin. "Better" however is a relative term. Better compared to my 9 year old? Better compared to the guys winning GT Academy? Better than what? If you look at what the AI does now, it is the "better" that everyone has wanted up to this point. If you go fast, they go fast. If you slow down, they slow down. They don't ram into you in the way they did in past iterations. So by many measures, they are "better".

However, the one thing missing is the desire to win. If a feature is added to give the AI a desire to win, then you will need to be picking cars that are 50-100PP higher than them if you want to have a chance, because they will smoke you 100% of the time unless you are the one who cheats. If that were to happen, the "I hate the AI threads" would be overwhelming!!

Offline is designed to let the player believe they are the most amazing driver on the planet, and it works brilliantly! So brilliantly that offline players don't even realise it. For those who do not go online, you would be amazed at what new-to-online people do and say when faced with human competitors.

My favourite quotes from newbies...

"I ONLY race on sport soft! I don't need racing soft to beat you"

(480pp car versus 550PP ROOM) "You need power to win while I use technique. You're an internet warrior!"

These guys went online and thought that they were awesome, because they were smoking the AI offline. I see it all the time. These are the guys that bounce off other cars going into corners. They have no idea what a clean pass is. They have no idea how to carry momentum. They are, in short, terrible at the game. However, the AI has fooled them into believing they are amazing, and that is what an offline experience is supposed to deliver.

I understand that online can be a bit of a leap and a learning curve. That said, if you want real exciting competition, then that is where to go. Yes, in the public you MIGHT have to deal with a moron or two, but it's less common than you might think. If you have zero tolerance for that, join a league. There are leagues for all skill levels...and it's AWESOME! As you get better, you can move up to face stiffer competition, and it's still awesome.

I have owned GT6 couple weeks now and i'm bored to death..
I'm playing GT5 more than GT6.
There's just too little content in GT6..
Maybe after couple updates it will be a lot better, atleast i hope so.

...and this next question is an important one that I am sure the folks at PD would love to hear answered.

What are you playing over and over in GT5 that does not exist in GT6?

I never replayed anything in GT5 that I didn't have to to earn cash.

There was always something for me to do that I couldnt have time to do all in one go.

PD Really better deliver soon.. B-spec, Course Creator, Community Features, Zero options for arcade racing... They really left out a lot of features that shouldn't have been.. Nothing like paying 60 bucks for a frikkin beta prologue.

Though I have a feeling we'll see more crap content like the RedBull crap or Senna thing they posted about a month ago, before we see any of the stuff on the back of the games box where the "Features" are listed.

I will never understand KAZ's fixation on the Redbull cars... the games title says THE REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR. Yet all this focus on "prototype" and fantasy cars like the X2014.. I mean get real dude.. quit diddling with your VISION and give us the product we paid for..

If we don't get some quality updates soon, ill be throwing my copy away and never looking at another Gran Turismo Title again. Or any other game developed by PD for that matter.

Just for me personally it was the track generator. I know it was severely limited but I loved generating random tracks and running my cars on them. I was soooo looking forward to a new track generator in GT6, I was sure PD would improve on the idea and make something spectacular.. but we got nothing. Not even the old track generator as a hold over. It was just completely removed with no release date for adding it back in. :( Getting the track generator back would bring me back into GT6 big time.

There is ability to drift, better online, hybriding and such.
Of course there is pros and cons in both games, but i still like GT5 more at the moment.

There's an inability to drift now? That's news to me.

Better online? Which part? I haven't seen any difference in the online when the same tracks are compared back to back.

Hybriding? You realize that isn't actually part of the game and as such isn't a point of contention.

I'm not trying to be a fanboy. I thought the notion of staging the release of features was dubious and that trying to apply free to play methodology to a full price console game is a terrible idea. However, as someone that is drawn to play this game almost daily, with no desire to go back to GT5, I'm completely perplexed by many of the comments that are posted in the thread of this forum.

I am officially getting quite bored of the game. It seems like it's been a while since we have seen an update/features added to the game and I'm just getting bored with everything.

My interest in the offline portion is waning and the only things keeping me going is the online racing series I'm competing in here on GTP and taking photos for the photomode competitions here.

Other than that there's just... nothing else there. The biggest problem is PD just won't speak to the fanbase about any sort of updates. If R* can manage some communication with GTA fans (even though R* made several stupid decisions), then why can't PD?

It just completely beggars belief.

With the drift part i was sarcastic. Of course you can drift on GT6, but it is a lot easier in GT5.
And i like it more in GT5.

Many people have said, that PD should fix online problems. GT5 also has shuffle.

Hybriding. For me it's part of the game. I enjoy to do engine swaps and such.
It's big part for me, because it keeps my interest for game.
This is just my opinion for it.

I'll just stop you right there, because if that were true, GT would have the best AI of all the racing games available, or at the very least, be on par with them. As it doesn't - and it's not even close - then no, you're incorrect.
