Anyone Else Find The Seasonal Events Easy?

I got silver in them all, and wasn't really close to challenging for gold in any of them :s using DS3 and I did put all the parts on. Skid recovery off as well....

Now I know I didn't give them much time, and that my driving isn't going to be perfect, but I see NO way of being in the lead before lap 5, or at best only taking the lead towards the end of lap 4.... Otherwise I am missing a BIG trick with these events somewhere!

In the Fiat 500 race, I was running late 1.19 laps with my best being a 1.19.4. That won me the race by a good 2 or 3 seconds.

I actually wanted to offer help.
Or find out if people were just giving them self an underpowered car on purpose.

I ran it twice (did say I didn't give it much of my time!). First time round I literally bought the car and jumped straight into the event, that time I was doing high 1.22 / low 1.23.
I then bought the other upgrades and things and I think they gave me between 1 - 1.5 seconds a lap improvement.

Would like to just pour 4 hours into an event and earn the gold, but in truth I'm lucky if I get 2 hours in at all, so I wanted to make sure I at least got silvers before 6th January, and then MAYBE I can go back and put more time into them later if I feel the need.

Gave me the money boost I needed for the FGT as well!
 
I also use the Driving Force Pro if that helps.
 
No I am not finding them easy to get gold, I am good with silver. You are a wizard TC.

No, really I am satisfied with silver. I have no time to be perfect at just one game anymore. Hats off to all the hardcore GT racers here who are playing on a level I just don't have time or patience to get on. Hats off to you and everyone else who gold these events and other challenging ones on this game.

I would gladly offer advice if you want me to.
The rewards are massive.
Try giving your car the best possible and if you really are struggling, maybe Skid Recovery may help?

Agree completely!You need to get even one (hard) gold and you realize that you learn something!Literally - it's true - this game teaching you. :dunce:
 
I golded CR-Z and Challenger events on first go. The RX-7 one was a decent challenge. I'm missing out by 2 seconds in the Fiat after a few tries. I'm no where near gold in the last one.

I don't think they're too easy at all.

This is the reason why I enjoy some of the License tests and Special Events.
You really have to learn the track and the car to get Gold, at the end of the day, you improve your racing technique :)

I am much less hardcore than I used to be, however I may have a Saturday where the kids and woman disappears so I can go for gold(or play more dawn of war II). Just remember there are fellow GT players out there who are not as much of a hardcore racer as you, but love cars and these sims are a better recreation of cars some of us will never sit in. So we play for the escape part of "driving" these cars and want to have fun at the same time.

I apologise for my stupidity (not being sarcastic), I forgot that not everyone here is hardcore.
Just because I'm on a Gran Turismo forum does not mean that everyone here is hardcore.
 
I found them all pretty easy to be honest.

Just make sure you can do what possible modifications to the car you can (mostly transmission/tyres etc and get right on the HP/Weight limits.

FYI, I used the Spec.V for the last one. Was first by the end of the 4th lap.

No big deal, we all are here for our love of motorsports. I just like cars man, I cant afford the corvette I WILL get one day :drool: but I can digitally drive them in this and forza and that lets me escape for a minute lol.

Like I said hats off to you and all the other ridiculously great drivers on here, but just remember you all are not alone.

Hey hey there lol, I like them but if going for muscle I would rather get my hands on a 69 Camaro. Or settle for a 06 GTO 6.0 which may actually be close to my grasp and besides its a Vette motor stuffed in a Pontiac :indiff:

Top notch B*%&^ks there fella.

I thought the Fiat 500 race was one of the most competitive races there is in GT5 to date, it's right up there with GT All Stars, American Cup and the endurance races. Just because it's not flat out at 200mph doesn't mean it's not a challenge.

I see them pretty much as Mission Races from GT4 and I like them.

Best thing is that we'll be getting constant updates every 15 days (B-Spec is next probably, since all of these are A-Spec only).

You only had 5 laps.
 
If you think they´re easy try to be first in the time trial challenges...

Then you get the reward "good".
