I dropped it. It wasn't really planned though, it just kind of fell out of my hands onto the carpet.

It's OK though, the disk is fine and I can still get my fix of online racing.

No, I don't even have half the cars yet. Also, I don't have a 360 and I don't plan to buy one.

Good one. :D

Why would you drop GT5 for Forza 4?

If anything you'd drop it for a PC sim.

Personally I'm playing GT5 until my Gaming PC gets fixed, then I'm going back to Iracing. I dont have an Xbox and considering my wheel isn't supported on one, im not going to buy it for Forza 4.

So even though your poll is lacking in options, id have to vote no, I'm not dropping GT5 for Forza 4.

Well Im not voting as I wont ever drop the GT series but when I've completed 100% of the game I will then give attention to the other games that have collected dust for the last year. Im at 90% so a fiew more months till im there. And play this every now and again.
I;ve played these games from the moment the first demo come out of the first version (GT1), so im never gonna turn my back on the series. :gtpflag: 👍 Just one of this games i've always loved.

No, I still love GT and don't own a Xbox. Forza 4 does look pretty good, and I'm loving the TG implementation into the game. If I had the extra money, Over-G Fighters would have pulled me in to buy one that or Forza. Also it never appealed to me to pay to play online.👎

Is this some kind of fashion statement? So emotional.

Haha:tup:

Nope, I'm not going to drop GT5 for Forza 4. However, I am going to buy Forza 4 on release day and play the hell out of it. Having both systems is a great thing.

I don't play other games. I play GT. My PS3 functions solely for that purpose.

Fanboy?......... Me?...........Probably.

Hehe, I've built $2000-$3000 computers (repeatedly over the years) for a single flight sim series, so the price of a console and a wheel isn't that bad. If you build a full scale (complete) car mockup around it, then that's the time to start wondering.... With working AC and radio...get help now!

I kind of lost interest in GT5 already. But it wasn't because of Forza.

I still say, despite it's flaws, GT5 is the best racer currently available for the PS3. And with a few minor tweaks, even as options, it could go a long way to improve things for the hard-core sim racing crowd. But at this point, for what I want out of sim racer, it just doesn't cut it any longer. And I doubt any console game will.

I'll look back again if and when they:
- Eliminate the arcade like, exaggerated slip stream
- Improve the realism and consistency of the tire model
- Add full support with improved FFB for the G27
- Improve (as in lower) the threshold for damage modeling and IMPROVE the physical damage modeling.
These alone would probably rekindle my interest. And I'd probably considering buying additional content, if it ever becomes available.

But I'm afraid all we're going to get over the next few updates are more driving suits and more 'chase the chicken' pseudo-race events. It makes me kind of sad because GT5 really has the potential to be a lot more but I don't think PD/Sony are really interested in taking it in that direction.

Errr......it's in the pipe line. :scared:

Picture this:

A garage with a car parked in it (any car, it doesn't matter). A projector on the car roof (Have 2 already), hooked up to a PS3 inside the glove box, the real wheel replaced with the latest gaming wheel and pedals, Audrino attached to the wheel and pedals operating linear hydraulic actuators to 'tip' the car as the wheel is turned and the brake/ accelerator is pressed, a full 5.1 surround sound system around the car.

There's my fantasy right there. In a few years time I'll be in the position to build this beast. I live in an apartment right now but a house is only a few years around the corner.

I have a 360 that I bought purely for Forza 3 after GT5 was being delayed. Needless to say I never play Forza and went back to prologue as Forza wasn't fulfilling especially since I only have a DFGT.

However if Forza 4 turns out to be good I will have to re consider what I do to replace my DFGT as it grows tired and old.
I will probably save and save to get the Fanatec that can do both though since GT has been part of my life since 1998, so I couldn't just let it go.

That is very sad. For you that is, limiting yourself to one game when there are plenty of other ones you could and should be playing.

Well i haven't got an xbox so i wont be getting forza but i also won't be dropping gt5 as with all the previous gt's i always go back and play them until a new one is released.
After all it is my favorite game and i waited over 5 years for it and if PD keep updating it theres no reason to stop playing it so...
Come on PD hurry up with the in-game saves so i can start doing some endurance races!!

I'm not a big gamer, actually I wouldn't even consider myself a true gamer any more. I spend most of my days working hard and have a life outside of my living room that involves real world stuff.

GT is a hobby for me, has been for years, call it sad if you like, I don't mind. For the most part I rarely get more than 10 hours a week of GT time these days, a lot less than I'd like.

I used to play games all the time but as I got older I just didn't have the time what with work and family commitments.

I don't understand why you would ditch GT5 just because another racing game comes out. You should just keep both like Fredde said.

I hope you have a cool girl because thats not going to fly at my house.

"Very sad?" "should be playing?" kind of harsh considering the name of the website your on. There is nothing wrong with being proud you only play one game. Especially here, I believe that sort of behavior should be encouraged. ;)

The wife knows GT is my mistress. She's just happy that I'm not out tapping other women :dopey:. We're yet to move into the house she has and it doesn't have a garage............. yet. Building time me thinks.

Absolutely not, xbox blows always and forever. Have fun with that red ring boys oh yeah and paying for online play

No it shouldn't, I don't know why some people here are so closed minded. I'm not even talking about playing other racing games, just other games in general. But it seems a lot of people do limit themselves to GT in terms of racing games which is bizarre. If you like racing/driving why wouldn't you at least try out other games in the genre? Sure you might not be able to afford another console but there are plenty of PS3 racing games a fan of GT should be looking at.

Maybe sad is the wrong word but there is definitely something odd about buying a games console and only playing one game on it in my opinion.

Sure you can't fit any more outdated clichés into your fanboy drivel?

Red rings have been fixed and paying for online isn't bad, but I'm not going to start a console war.

I've never had a RROD and £30 a year for a reliable online service is worth it. But I'm not going to discuss this.

Why not play both?
This!

Seriously, you already had the game for at least a few months minimum, why not just keep it and buy Forza 4? That way you have the best of both worlds.

I don't play GT5 as much now, but still a good game. Same with GT4. I'm planning on Forza 4, but due to...err...being console banned, I can only play offline on my Xbox. So, now it's MW3, then Forza 4.

Just keep GT5, you'll regret it in the long run. Just like me when I gave up GT4.

Never ever had a thought about dropping GT5.

If my RL car will be wrecked in the (far) future I will build a full size racing simulator out of it. ...maybe...
