let's see, for me to play forza i got to pay cash for a new console. And after learning there is no night racing or weather in forza 4 there's a fat chance of dropping GT that's for sure.

forza might be a good game but personally it's not for me.

If I had an Xbox 360 I would get it but I do not have one at the moment. Plus I just got my first steering wheel, the g27, so that is another reason for me not to bother with the Xbox 360. And as far as paying for live goes, fifty bucks isn't that bad but I rather put that fifty towards the PlayStation Plus since I personally feel it is a better value. When I was a Xbox Live member you pay to play and that was all. With PlayStation plus, I feel like I get much more for that fifty dollars. As in free arcade games on a regular basis, more beta testing opportunities and exclusive demo's for big name games. The numbers ended up being spend fifty for the PlayStation Plus and save four hundred and some change. Anyhow, just my .02

GT >>>> Flopza Forza is a joke for people who like to give their money away to play online.

Considering the fact Xbox's multiplayer is vastly superior and I would happily pay for XBL. Cross-game voice chat, a better acheivement system, a lot faster (I'm in the middle of a BF1943 match and the XMB takes 10 seconds to fully load up), headset support is a lot better. Also after buying an Xbox and getting a few years of XBL Gold, it was still cheaper than getting a PS3 of the same harddrive.
I got a PS3 due to GT5 (at first :indiff:) and for most of the (other) exclusives.

Compare the games, not the consoles.

GT6 will be though. :sly:

Maybe GT7 or 8 but not 6.

And no. I'm not going to drop GT5 just because a new racing game is coming out. Really makes no sense when you think about it. I'm also expecting PD to give us some surprises in the next few months so even more reason to hold on to it.

@Daniel, I don't remember the xbox having a built in blu-ray system. Srry, i had too. I know i should be ashamed. :(

Yep but not for a Xbox title.
We have a BF3 Beta release date for PS3.
29th GT5 gets put on the back burner for a Shootem up.
( As does WKC2 which is taking to long, haven't even got dues ex 2 yet. )

So this what society has come too, cant wait the extra 5 mins for it to boot up.

Not sure about that.
Left my PS3 on for 15 minutes once waiting to get into a seasonal.
Turned out it had crashed. Had similar problems just navigating GT's menu.

Talking about the trophy system in each console. Not the intial load time of gt5. Mine takes for ever as well. I just use that time to scan some tunes and grab a beer

No plans to put down GT5. I will be getting Forza 4 and I will be happy playing both while the fanboys yell at each other lol. Also got BF3 and MW3 coming soon and I'll be playing both of those while their respective fanboys yell at each other. But no, will not be dropping GT5.

If the question is about than other certain racing game, the answer is not. Maybe my spents hours in GT5 Can decrease but due MW3, Uncharted 3, AC and BF3 :dopey:

Kato: Where is the red flag for this topic?
MWar: The flag has been displayed for 5 years now, but no one is acknowledging it.

I wont drop GT5, I havn't even decided whether or not to buy Forza yet. If I do buy it I'll probably jump back and forth, GT has alot of cool stuff like weather as well a a league I'm in. Forza has all the ALMS/ILMC cars and a bunch of US circuits that I've desperately missed in GT5.

Both of us off topic then.

Is it really worth buying an xbox just for the game?? It will be like $500(AUD)

To some, probably not, to others, absolutely. I've bought an Xbox just recently, and I mainly did so just because I wanted to try Forza 4, which is already on pre-order (collector's edition). And if I wouldn't have bought one already recently, I'd most definitely snap up this deal!

Edit: And yes, my PS3 is really only for playing GT5. Haven't taken the disc out in months!

Will I drop GT5? No. As a guy who owns console racers as well as PC sims, GT5 is still the best racing experience - and car collecting resource - I have access to. And there's a good chance that the only thing that will be better is GT6.

I'll be playing other games this fall, but I only have one new game coming for the 360 Leet and PC each, and a bunch still to experience on PS3, so I my gaming focus is going to be pretty heavily slanted in one direction.

Forza 4 huh? Once Rfactor 2 is out i will most likely not play gt5 anymore sadly. The endless amount of mods and no need for licensing makes it the best collecting and racing experience, better than GT, Forza, Shift, Iracing whatever. What other game has the sheer amount of tracks and cars as it? Practically None.

Maybe... I'm tempted to pick Shift 2 and Resistance 3 :)

Or maybe I can play the 3 of them :D

I'd try Shift 2 before buying it if I were you, I sure wish I did :indiff:. It's handling system is really weird IMO, you're drifting every corner. Personally, i gave up on it a month or so after i got it, I couldnt take the handling. Having said that though, try it yourself, you may really like it :).
