I'm going to sell TDU2 tomorrow the game isn't any good without the servers.
I was going to suggest the same thing. If the PS3 servers are not working, just get rid of it. Not worth the frustration. Luckily last time I checked, the 360 servers were still working fine.

Same thing with PC side, Their working fine too.
Just the PS side that is having all the problems.

Sorry to hear that the PS3 is having so many problems. :indiff:

There are benefits for not having the server on, can do road discovery and wrecks without anyone interrupting the process, however the downfall is that I cannot use my DLC cars or casino because of it.

Toward the end I spent more time in the Casino than anything else. Ironic since I NEVER had any interest in Casinos at all until I played that game. If I could not get online in TDU I would get bored very fast of that game and just sell it too.

I managed to get onto the TDU2 server as of 7 pm CT. Only problem is that it's once again eternal day/night. So the photos are not useless again.
@Latvija27

Well this kinda sucks. I was on last night
Now today I am not on.
But now I can do the photos now without it being eternal day/night/clear

I know something is wrong with the weather on the game it doesn't change as often as it used to.

With the server on I get stuck at 00:00 on Ibiza or 18:00 on Hawaii and it's always Clear.
Server off I can do real time things and it changes with that being said I managed to get 18/20 photos done.

How much money do you get for the photos ?

It's 5K per photo and 50K after completing them.
Good thing the server is down. Managed to get my last 2 photos which required rain.
Now I just want the server to be back up so I can have day/clear to do the last cup. 123 miles around the island ugh.

I played Test Drive Unlimited 2 again just last night. For the first time, I played TDU2 on a proper HD style monitor. So I got to see how pretty and how sharp the graphics are. I even got to see a few other players around Hawaii/Oahu. And sure enough, I encountered someone who thinks it's cool to borderline kill you by ramming into you and stuff. Most of my time was spent riding my Ducati Desmosedici RR around Hawaii. The majority of people I've eventually friended on PSN have been from Test Drive Unlimited 2. That's more than any other game or anything I've played combined- including Gran Turismo 5, Gran Turismo 6, Little Big Planet 2, and PlayStation Home.

I still stand by my thoughts that TDU2 could have been much more. It is still a fine game to play by exploring everything. A few different tweaks could have made the game great. But again, and at least to me, this game could have been a bit more.

Man I wish Atari would release an update soon where the DLC cars can be payed with in-game credits. I really wanna drive the F40, C6 ZR1, Veyron Sang Bleu and Zonda Tricolore.

We will never know. The servers are still up though even though there's not much players anymore. Oh Atari you will never come back after that video game crash....

It's pretty bizarre how a game that defines the word 'dead' through an abandoned studio, and a bought-out producer still has running servers. Where the hell is the money coming from?

Were the servers hosted by Atari or Eden? Eden still exists, so I guess as long as they pay the bills the servers stay up. If it's small volume and cloud-based, it's not necessarily a big amount per month either.

Just got this on PS3, haven't gotten to playing it again yet. I remember playing it properly til I had about 200k then just buying a DB9 Volante and just cruising around Ibiza and Hawaii

But still, they really need to make an update where all the DLC cars are available for purchase through in game credits. Kinda sucks seeing those DLC cars in the dealers sitting there just teasing you to buy them but through MT and still need to buy them through in game credits.

It's too late for them to come back especially the competition today but looks like they're taking risks in order to come back after the crash.

I agree, I think its far to lat for them and there are many other company's that make better apps than them.
