I’ll be waiting for a few reviews and player reactions before purchasing. I have a PS4 Pro so I am also looking for a graphics upgrade (however slight it may be) with GT7 over GTS, if it’s a noticeable downgrade then I’ll give it a miss and stick with GTS until I’m able to get a PS5 (if I don’t end up with an Xbox Series X instead).

GT7 will be the first GT game I will probably not be getting at launch. I even imported the Japanese original GT, before buying it again when it was released in the UK.

I waited for GT Sport to get a PS4, as GT is pretty much the only game I play on the console, and I got the GT Edition of the console too. I was generally disappointed with GT Sport, but GT7 seems more like the traditional GT game for me. Unfortunately, atm, there are no PS5's to be had. Yes, I could get GT7 for the PS4, but that won't be the best version. Though reviews will hopefully make clear the differences between the different versions. ;)

I'll actually seriously start looking for PS5's this coming month, but only half heartedly, because there is no rush. 🙄

Straight at launch at lunch. I'm gonna have to uninstall a few games on my PS4 (either that or I'm uninstalling Sport altogether since there's no point in keeping it anymore as the game alone costs 100GB+).

I thought I posted in this thread... Anyway, I've pre-ordered game so I'll get it at launch.

Yes of course, I love cars and this series has always ozzed aesthetic. Getting the physical anniversary version.

Not interested in Gran Turismo 7, not not interested in Gran Turismo. There is a difference.

I wasn't interested in GT Sport, but it didn't mean I wasn't interested in Gran Turismo.
So what are you doing, still playing GT6 on your PS3? Don't lie, you've got GT7 on pre-order...

Was going to but then I saw a youtube video and they still havent fixed the engine sounds so I guess ill wait till it goes on sale.

I don't have a PS4 or a PS5, so no, I don't have it on preorder.

I played GT6 for a while after release, got annoyed enough at Polyphony dragging their feet over putting out advertised features and generally just not making an effort to improve that I started getting more heavily into other games. It turns out that there are non-Gran Turismo games out there, and they're just fine. Some of them are even pretty good. I intentionally didn't buy GT Sport after my bad experience with GT6, it didn't look like anything worth buying a console for when I had already been playing iRacing for years.

I'd like to have another GT game that makes me feel like I did when I was young and playing GT1 or GT3, but I'm not falling over myself to give Polyphony my money. They lost me by selling me a couple of pretty ropey games, and so they can show me why I should be excited to buy something off them instead of spending my money on something else. So far GT7 looks fine, but so far I don't see anything that would make me buy it at release for full price.

FWIW, I'm not even one of the people who voted "not interested". I voted "wait for reviews", because I still hope that it's better than it looks. But I understand how people might be into GT as a franchise but not interested in a particular release.

Just cancelled my 25th Aniversary pre order.

Was disappointed when I saw the AI procession, still poor sounds, unexciting car lists (where’s the race/ gt cars?) and toy like map pages…

Ongoing being unable to buy a PS5, unless from a scalper, and after a tease email from Sony saying that I had opportunity to order as PS5 directly from them, registered and heard nothing since from them added to the reasons why.

I took the step to move to PC a few years back, and I am happy to invest in that now instead… and happy now not to have to ‘grind’ in races to be able to unlock cars that I have paid for already (yes I know that is the ‘game’ part)

In the words of a Dragons Den investor “I’m out”…

Sorry Sony you have lost one of your GT fan boys here…

It saddens me to say so :(

GT series is a must for the racing game players, I have all the Gran Turismo games since GT3, and I pre order GT7.
If you don't play GT you are not a racing player.

I’m afraid that’s not true, I too have all gt titles actually starting from GT1 myself (and many more racing games on PC and PS before and after GT1), but in my opinion GT7 doesn’t move the bar enough to not just make it a ‘repurchase’ of GT sport… the bad AI, sounds and missing newer race cars didn’t do it for me)

Have you tried any of the top PC sim titles… with ultra graphics, Full realistic sound and tactile feedback… now that’s really is racing!

I may get it in the future if the PC version rumours are true (fyi Sonys God of War was also released on PC) … but the no chance of a PS5 was the ‘last nail’ as it were and by then it may be a different story…

Disc with 25th anniversary edition is very good deal, because you'll get two copies of the game - disc and code, one of this thing you can gift or sell ;)
Because of this I'll buy it at launch

I think there's more to GT than that.

Even if I had a super PC, I don't know if I could play SIM games like I play GT.

You need to do so many things before you can actually race. You need to setup this and that and this again. Also the constant stress is definitely not for me. By constant stress I mean that you need to be careful during the whole lap. Playing PCARS 2 or DiRT Rally I noticed how firmly I hold the controller. Every little turn, every curb, the slight ammount of power when you're accelerating... one very little mistake, just one, and it's enough to ruin everything.

I think it's too much.

Sometimes I just want to sit and play. Driving an old 90's japanese car in a track day at Nürburgring without getting worried about tyre pressure or temperature is quite relaxing and fun.

I'm going to wait for some DLC cars. At this point I cannot see how they are going to make an interesting career mode with this car list.

Tempted to get the 25th anniversary edition if I can't get my hands on a PS5 in the next 30 days. I was hoping for a PS5/GT7 bundle, but I haven't seen it listed in my country so far, nor any mentions from GTPlanet about official bundles so I've somewhat given up hope. Most shops only have sporadic stock with bundles that include hardware or software I'm not interested in.

The € 30 extra will probably be worth it, I just hope the performance doesn't suffer too much on my 1st generation PS4.

I’ve got a base PS4. Doubt performance will be worse than GT Sport. I’m expecting it to look like GT Sport, but with way more tools to use, than GTS.
