GT series is a must for the racing game players, I have all the Gran Turismo games since GT3, and I pre order GT7.
If you don't play GT you are not a racing player.
But I thought GT wasnt a racing game? Oh and most "racing players" have played GT. It doesbt mean they must like and play any game PDI serve up just because it has GT on GTS cover. PDI should do a better job to keep us old schoolers interested.

Wow those ppl that voted for not interested should be automatically banned from This site
Where can I sign up for this cult?

I will get it day one i have a ps5 digital edition, so will go digital, not sure what version i will buy, but in my opinion there is a lot to get excited about, look in my opinion to be the best gran turismo game since gt4, my only worry is also about the ai, but the rest is pretty amazing in my opinion

I been playing GT games since the original playstation and already have pre-ordered the launch edition. Getting 100,000 credits plus on top of the 3 vehicles is great. I am looking forwards to the cafe and Music rally for GT7 on top of the original tracks i have raced being in Snail Sunday night racing league.

Plan was always to at least purchase GT7 upon launch, but the idea of pre-ordering loomed greatly. Thankfully, I was lucky enough to find a PS5 (Digital Edition) over the Christmas period, so I'm now prepared. Plus, after watching the State of Play it only made the decision easier, so the 25th Anniversary Digital Edition for the PS5 has been pre-ordered.

Really looking forward to 7 and the return of a classic style of GT title in an updated package, cannot wait for it to drop :)šŸ‘.

Just an FYI on those waiting for PS5 stock. Try your local Argos. A lot of them are getting stock and, not so much holding it, but it's not getting listed online to stop traffic overloading and not buying. There's a pretty good chance of walking into an Argos and being able to buy one over the counter.

Soon as my Series S sells I'll be purchasing one.

My last launchday GT purchase was GT3, also the only GT I took back to the shop and traded in ( picked up Syphon Filter, awesome game), still this one is launched on my birthday, after some subtle hints the 25th Anniversary edition is on my counting down on my console right now.

I don't have a PS4 or a PS5, so no, I don't have it on preorder.

I played GT6 for a while after release, got annoyed enough at Polyphony dragging their feet over putting out advertised features and generally just not making an effort to improve that I started getting more heavily into other games. It turns out that there are non-Gran Turismo games out there, and they're just fine. Some of them are even pretty good. I intentionally didn't buy GT Sport after my bad experience with GT6, it didn't look like anything worth buying a console for when I had already been playing iRacing for years.

I'd like to have another GT game that makes me feel like I did when I was young and playing GT1 or GT3, but I'm not falling over myself to give Polyphony my money. They lost me by selling me a couple of pretty ropey games, and so they can show me why I should be excited to buy something off them instead of spending my money on something else. So far GT7 looks fine, but so far I don't see anything that would make me buy it at release for full price.

FWIW, I'm not even one of the people who voted "not interested". I voted "wait for reviews", because I still hope that it's better than it looks. But I understand how people might be into GT as a franchise but not interested in a particular release.
Geez mate, you're taking it a bit seriously. It's just a video game. Like any other game, you pay your 80 bucks and if you don't like it, trade it for something else

real question: are you buying the Anniversary Edition or the Standard one? Can't decide. There is a lot of real life money spending in February for me + I bought new From Software game, so I am counting every penny right now. Pre-order is a no brainer but I can't decide do I need that Yaris livery 1.5mil bonus or not?
What is your decision guys?

I am indeed awaiting for Digital Foundry's analysis. And then, some fans opinions, mostly from this very forum.
So Eurogamer run Digital Foundry's content but they are a separate 'company' as such. I'd recommend watching the DF analysis, the Eurogamer review and of course GTplanet.

Standard edition for me. Classic GT games have always been about starting with minimal credits, buying a second hand small car and working my way up from there. I feel having extra credits from the beginning kinda goes against what a standard GT game is for me.

Totally understand why people with less time on their hands would prefer to start off with those extra credits though

I am afraid that some fancy expensive car will be required to take part in Daily Race C or whatever online race it will be first week. Don't want to miss online races at all.

1.5 mil credits is a small amount for €30. I bought the standard edition.

I already preordered the game despite the fact that I'm getting digital, just. to stick to the people who are all like "never preorder games", like bro just don't preorder games that end up sucking and it won't be problem.

for real. I preordered 6 games in my life knowing all of them will be my favorites, and I was right.

I will pre order the digital soon, since it's a game I will play often it saves disc swapping. I have been waiting so long already and look forward to doing daily races at Trial Mountain, Deep Forest and High Speed Ring, browsing second hand cars and forcing shopping trolleys loaded with mods to win the early races.

Lol. First you accuse me of lying about not having the game on preorder. Then you don't even bother to read the first sentence of my reply (that you quoted) that says that I don't have a PS4 or PS5.

Add in that you're apparently rich enough that you think that full release price of a game is a trivial amount of money to everyone, and I have to think that you're just trolling. Well done, you got me. Sorry I tried to engage and explain my personal situation with regards to buying the game in a thread dedicated to asking about whether people are buying the game at launch.

I have go with @TypeRDC5 on this one.

The "grind" is part of the longevity of the game for me. Earning in-game credits to obtain new / used vehicles, modify them, etc. It's really the same in a lot of titles / genres for me. In my view, if the journey to get there isn't fun, why would I want to waste more money on the game anyhow by buying a deluxe edition, etc. to shortcut the experience. I'd rather just not play if it feels punishing.

....so yeah, the digital PS5 standard edition for me. I gave up physical copies years ago although I still bought a PS5 with the BluRay player for disks / movies I already have.

Ordered for PS5 from the PS store.. and I'm hoping for some sort of error... that they'll accidentally leak it out a few days early.

It's never happened before.. but if it did, bo better game to get early than GT 7 šŸ˜šŸ‘
