Not being funny but why is the community manager wasting time taking pics with that woman?
The problem I have with BCC (will not mention Highlands for now) is that it's simply too wide and/or with too much fast corners - as Marcel Pfister also mentions in his video, these tracks were made to be able have races on it.

Personally, and in the case of BCC, I also feel they exaggerate on the camber/elevation changes, which reminds me of tracks from GT5's Track Generator. :yuck:

Hell, they could have at least given us Trento Bondone - no matter how bad it looks.
But BCC wasn't made to be raced on nor for the game. It was made for their clients ( Porsche and Maseeati ) and kunos thought why not give it to us. Also cant speak for highlands, though i like BCC. I would like trento too or better yet a road like Coste.

I know it was created because of that, but what I meant was that it was designed to be raced on (i.e. wide, to be able to accommodate other cars). Highlands is the same.

I believe that hardware does not have clutch. Therefore, you must be using the "sequential shifting" mode? I thought you were heel toeing the whole time with clutch and H-pattern shifting.

The 911 GT3 RS i had on the steering wheel paddles, as it doesn't have a H pattern gearbox in real life, the previous video i did of the 911 R above, i had on H pattern, but just the 2 pedals, still great fun! :)

Is that where the Auto-Clutch option comes in to play?

I wonder the same thing. How did you do H pattern shifting without a clutch? Auto clutch does not seem to work properly. Even with it enabled, I still have to press the clutch to shift. How magically did HammyMansell operate it?? :D

If you have the clutched map the two might cancel each other out, just a guess as I don't know for sure. Most of my controller profiles don't have the clutch mapped and auto clutch works fine for me when using the sequential shifter on old cars but I've never tried it with the h-gate. I know when driving with the h-gate and clutch the clutch isn't needed to downshift as long as you have good timing, not sure if there's a way to upshift without clutching.

After a couple hours I ended up in an almost ok room... but man I not even once I managed to escape turn one unscathed.

And in 30% of the races idiots would crash into you on purpose and sometimes even stop on corners to take others out.

I do very little online racing in Assetto Corsa because of that. Great races with a field of drivers with decent race craft are few and far between. 2-3 weeks ago I lucked upon a GT3 lobby and had an evening of great races and didn't mind the repetition of using the same car and circuit.

Happy times... rare times.

I'm posting this in here since it's a thread about AC on PS4/XB1.

I want to upgrade from the PS4 to the PS4 pro.
I play the games mentioned in my signature along with some other small titles. I own a 1080p TV so I'm only interested in Boost Mode and the better framerate, smoothness and loading times.

What do you say about it? Did someone take the same stupid jump?! (judging all reviews that say don't do it, not worth it)

I just answered a very similar question at the PCars1 forum:
Take a look at @Scaff's videos here.

In my opinion, the difference is huge in both PCars and AC and I've been itching to get a Pro ever since I saw those videos.

I'd say the German Series races are where I've had the most fun, especially Nurb GP. The cars are hard enough to drive that wreckers shake out quickly. Lots of very tight competition amongst decent drivers.
Those are the old DTM cars, right? I've raced them too, but at Spa. Very nice races. 👍

My favourites (at least right now, because I'm new to this) are:

MX-5 Cup @ Brands Hatch
Tatuus @ Mugello
Abarth 500 AC @ Imola
DTM @ Spa
Escort @ Brands Hatch
Track days (road cars) @ Nordschleife

Problem is, one will have to spend quite some time alone until a good race appears. But they do appear.

I raced German series with a couple buddies last night, there was one guy being careless in Quali so i voted to kick as i knew it wasn't just due to recklessness. Sure enough he was parked round the turn 1 on spa, then later when i was lapping him and chasing first he rammed me off track then disconnected. I sure wish i could hack his PS4 and ruin his life.

I know that feeling, but don't give in to the dark side 👍 it's the last thing the world needs now.

The German series has been the source of my biggest disappointments in AC as well. One great 4-way battle on Spa a while back, 3 laps straight like a little train of 190's and M3's and I screwed up and looped out on Pouhon on the last lap. Very upset.

Then last weekend at Nurb, some guy and I went 3.5 laps bumper to bumper, setting the fastest lap by .3-.5 sec every lap. Was super intense, awesome stuff. Coming out of Schumacher S on lap 4 he just lifted off the gas and disconnected. I just stopped on the side of the road and then disconnected. It was like coming down from a high 👎

I tried again with the auto clutch feature and I learn that: Upshift is pretty easy. You have to shift and lift the throttle completely and then press the throttle again. Downshift is little tricky, it seems like timing doesn't work for me. What works is that I have to brake and blip the throttle a little bit to downshift. How do you downshift with auto clutch on with H Pattern shifting??

It seems like "private lobby" is such a big topic. Sorry for asking a silly question, what is this feature? Is it like my friend can create a race room with password protected? Also, if I create a race room without password, will other strangers enter the room while I'm being the admin?
That sums it up. You could create a room, choose it's privacy and select the car class and circuit to race on for each race.

I figured that would probably work with upshifting but I had not tried it, I'd guess the engine speed needs to be in a certain range when you engage the next gear. It works in a real car too but it's super tricky and probably not good for your transmission if you get it wrong. For downshifting it's just a matter of making sure your blip happens between the gears, if you blip while still in gear it probably won't work but might if you get the revs high enough. If you blip too late then you've probably already slid into the next gear and obviously that's not going to work. To learn the timing you could practice by lifting, slide into neutral and pause for just a moment while you blip, then slide into the next lower gear. Once you get a feel for where to blip you can start speeding up the procedure.

Not sure, I've tried in the past but don't recall the results. My guess would be that you just lift, blip, downshift and not worry about the clutch. But I do know when I tried it in the past the outcome was not desirable and I abandoned the experiment.

If that is the case, that is not really a "premium" feature. It should be standard in any racing game. Even old GT5 game has this feature. What is all the hype about this? That was kind of confusing to me. :)

You answered it yourself, the negative hype was because this feature which is considered standard in racing games was not present. But it's highly desired and needed so there are many players looking forward to it finally being added. :)

I know that coming down from high feeling all to well, after crashing or running out of fuel or my DS4 running out of charge after great racing. On a side note, the E30 is the dogs bollocks!

Dayuuum April? So near May then lol. At least they filled us in.

Well the hype is that it was missing this feature and now we are thankfully getting it. It is annoying that there are cars i cannot race online with my friends.

Speaking of friends i got 3 of my friends to buy AC last week, they're loving it but they want to race with just us in the lobby for now whilst they are learning, which obviously is not possible currently.
