It shouldn't be matter of waiting.

AC has a collection of classic and road cars which ACC will never have, and that are a blast to drive - if you ask me, this is in fact the area where it really shines.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: if you have a wheel, you have to have AC (especially if we're discussing consoles).
Yeah but he missed the special offer. Pity he didn't buy it when he had a chance. Couple of us in a lobby who usually race Pcars 2 bought AC on the special offer when it was on and having a blast now with it.

On another note, a game I would have loved to have gotten is Nascar Heat 4 (I'd have even bought the Deluxe version) but that hasn't been in discount offer yet. I keep looking out for it. If it was on special offer I'd have bought it already.

Hey David it is just over 54 Australian dollars to download the Assetto corsa ultimate edition, and at a local game store it is $44 Australian so it is not that much money to buy it now.
Assetto corsa ultimate edition only have online multiplayer but no online Time Trials & leaderboard, which to me it is not worth buying. With Assetto corsa competizione is not going to have classic and road cars and that is ok, but if ACC got online Time Trials & leaderboard I will be inline to buy it because I like Time Trials, and I have liked online Time Trials since the GT5 days.

Just tried again the escort rs1600 with it's gnarly 4cyl in AC, i forgot how much fun it is:D. Fun on zandvoorth. Really hope they make AC2 on ps5, with even more classics racers and supercars, and lot more tracks, ill be happy.

Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition is 70% off right now on the PS Store, for anyone interested.

Trying it out with a wheel first on ps now tonight to see if it's worth the full purchase.

Ps now also has f1 2019 so have a month to try my new wheel with both .

Depends, some cars are nice to try, that are not in other sims much, on console at least, like ac cobra,.. If you have already pc2 and other sims too then i don't know if still worth it now, especially on console with no mods, and ACC out soon.
It's basic especially for tracks and getting old a little but still a pleasure..

Yeah i would, the two are very different games with a wide variety of cars and tracks in AC. Unless you would only ever drive GT3 / GT4.
ACC is just blancpain GT3 and GT4 cars and tracks. Taking the escort rs1600 around the nordschleife or the Lotus 72 around imola you'll want AC :) But then I'm a fan, even of the non mod PS4 version

Can’t work out the button binding..I’m used to always using left paddle for shifting up and right paddle for down on my G29, but every time I try and change it in the menus, although it looks to have registered, when I go back to the game it’s always the other way round and I just can’t drive like that..and I really don’t want to use auto gears instead

Doesn't help but how comes you like your gears backwards? I thought it was basically as universal as throttle on the right, brake on the left, to have upchange right, downchange left.
Surely you run into this problem a lot?

Was thinking so myself when I saw his comment.

Should you get it? Hell yeah!

ACC is not in any sense the "new" AC, it's a completely different, much more sophisticated, but much more limited game. The driving experience is so good in AC, & has a bunch of interesting cars, you owe it to yourself to try it. Only downside ... it will make games like GTSport seem rather unconvincing in comparison. :indiff:

I have a different question: I have the "original" AC for PS4 with most of the add-on packs. As far as I can tell I'm missing the Ferrari pack (which I definitely would like) & the Japanese pack (which I'm not that interested in). Does it make sense for me to pick up the "Ultimate Edition" for $15 (the two packs cost $20 to purchase separately. Is there anything else new in the Ultimate Edition?

just what I’m used to, and every driving game I own has simple button mapping so it’s no great hardship to swap them around, this game is the only one where it’s not possible to do so I’m just playing with auto gears now

You'll have many extra spécial events in the UE. For the rest, not sure.

I hope they fix the race position leaderboard HUD for the upcoming release of Competizione on PS4. That race position HUD never updates in real time making it confusing at times to tell who is in what position during race and is the one downer for me. Anybody knows if it works fine in the PC version or any peeks in PS4 version reviews?

I'm playing AC a bit on my Xbox atm & I noticed the same thing, it only updates once per lap & it's not always at the start finish line either, strange design decision.

True that. Let's hope it gets fixed. I wonder if they are aware.

Nothing special about the ultimate edition i think, all i can say is the ferrari pack is a must.
The f1 f2004 in it is the best sounding f1 to me in ac, in cockpit and replays, and ai passing you is scary. Same for the f138 but that's not in the pack.

Love the handling too, especially the f2004 and sf15, f138 too, just a little less. I like less the sf70 in the pack for feel and sound. They look great too.

The rest of the pack:
The 812 is great too for feel and sound, great backfire sound.
The f1 67 is a jewel as well.
The 330 feels, sounds and looks amazing.
The 250 feels, sounds and looks amazing, lol you get the picture i guess, well that's ac for you, got to love it.
Can't believe i let it idle since a while for lesser..
The 288 gto 84 feels amazing haha, yeah.., sounds great, great cockpit.

Man im in love again..what a jewel.
Really like the sound being different as should on and off throttle.
The lighting is great too, in sunny setting, with time set near sunset or sunrise. The shadows in cockpit are clean smooth. Good windscreen light effect too.
The sound.., you can so easily feel where the ai is around you. And sounds amazing. On replays too you hear from a distance approaching cars and passing, its amazing.

Im so satisfied again, i can even wait for acc now longer, maybe hehe, even though it reminds me how Kunos sims are a must.
Cheers.

Edit: love the bmw z4 gt3, another jewel, glad i like the gt3s as well in this, it's promising for acc.
The audis, alfa romeos, as well as all the cars that i just retried for now.

So is the Ferrari pack worth getting now for AC ?, because you know I am waiting for ACC to play.

Lol well if you read my post, you should know already what i think.
It's not gt3s in there, so it's different and worth it for sure, if you like ac as i do, and those cars tempt you.
----
I noticed the tracks in pc2 are too small.
Just checked mugello and its completely off.
Looks like crap, cartoony, too compared to in ac.
Was trying the z4 gt3, curious to see if my thoughts on ac are intact. And it feels like crap honestly, even the ffb and track. The track lacks inclinations too, and bumps feel lifeless. Handling mushy. At least i gave it a long shot in the last months.
Car too looks better in ac, and graphics in general crisper, cleaner, more realistic.
Only thing is it's one of the better sounding cars in pc2.
