Forgive the open question but I’ve been away from AC for over a year, has there been any big developments in CSP or any great laser scanned tracks or good car mods released in that time? Thanks
I only know about Paul Ricard as laser scanned track released recently as well as a Pyyer extension of Montreal by Terra21 that updated the track with new graphic features. For cars if you are interested in F1 there are the new 2022 cars by RSS and VRC

If anyone else is interested I had a request for a Chile skin for the 'Guerilla Mods' Toyota S-FR

Cozy . . . was a fix ever implimented for engine sound on this car that you're aware of?
My version's engine isn't picked up until it gets closer to the cam in replays, and then it suddenly pops in.
Just wondering, since the car is such a blast to drive.

Opinion time. Focusing on the green grass not the burnt out strip, would you go with the lighter green or darker green? Or do you think even darker or something in between. You can use the like emojis to vote. Like for darker, Hot for lighter, HaHa for even darker or Wow for somewhere in between. Or use the Poo if you don't care for the look in general. If you Poo it, please let me know why. Thanks...

I couldn't resist. Old rfactor mod (don't look too close its ropey). Carrying on from my "stuff that nobody wants" modding spree.
What it does have is loads of real life skins.

Hi Safi,

very nice to toss around, physics resembles the irl feeling (went on holiday to Spain once in one of these a friend of mine owned back then),
but 4 things stick out for me (appart from the 2nd steering rod):
  • the shifter should be coming out of the dash next to the steering wheel... see for example this vid
That's not the case in the mod (i guess also in the rFactor model it was like this and will be quite the challenge to change, incl getting a good shift animation)
  • the name has "uk" in it, but this is a LHD model (luckely - me like LHD better).
Please ditch the uk, and never convert it to RHD ;)
  • there's no brakelights (at least none i could see - running without PP )
  • the livery icons are all blank!? (I'll take it on me to generate nice ones and share - this is something I can do! ;) )

Great effort for your very first conversion!
Hope this community gives it some more TLC, as this would be a very nice nostalgic gem to have in our beloved AC.

Thank you for the update to the mod.

I was hoping this would be a different model (1999). Do you have this model of the Riley & Scott?

Riley & Scott MK3 Le Mans by Peugeot 905

Hey @Peugeot905 , thanks for this mod! The physics is very good as you can see from the video, but I would like to ask you if the dimensions don't seem a bit small compared to reality and why the lines of your mods are so square.
Thanks again m8
Old model, unfortunately. Good models for the R&S MK III C is almost impossible to find nowadays so the best choice is a model from an older mod (can't remember which mod it is however).

Yeah lights i am struggling with currently, the uk bit was the skins are uk series skins.
Livery icons yep go for it if you want to do anything to it at all and share, i was sort of hoping to see an 'easy' improved version.
We shall see.

I'll check it out but I'm sure I hear all the engine sounds both in replays and live race - I download mine from here. https://guerilla-mods.de/forum/forum/downloads/

You'll need to sign up if you haven't already - Hope that helps

Sports Car Challenge (SCC) by the RSDG-group for F1 Challenge 99 - 02... The models doesn't hold up at all, but it's the only thing we have. Some of the models are literally 20 years old.

@Fullnoise while your car has the livery and bbs rims correct. The Chassis is based off the later nurburgring verison. It might be hard to see at first glance. But the ALMS PTG fenders and rear wings didn't extend out as much and didn't have antenna an the roof. You can see even more differences on the BMW Motorsport versions as they have a very different look on the splitters.

View attachment 1184696
I see what you mean and thanks for pointing those differences out.
The GTR2 model you posted is not bad for GTR2 but is much lower poly and less detail than the later model we have been working with. However it may not be a major job to use the later model as a basis and swap over the body shells.

2001gtr_body_A1jpg.jpg

This is the BMW version. There are 4 versions in the GTR2 model, 2 main being the BMW and PTG with some variances in mapping between them. The different parts may be able to be changed via CSP.
Unfortunately the interior is horrendous. With GTR2 they have a separate cockpit object that is decent quality except in some cases they only include polygons for what you would see from the drivers view. To fix this is a lot of work so using the late model interior would be less painful.
The rear wing mounts lack a lot of detail as well.

I will have a look at this and see what we can do.
