It's finally done! The improved 2017 version of the Porsche 919 Hybrid.
Big thanks to @SpeedStar2000 for the original conversion and improvements.

This is pretty good, the blurred rim looks weird in replay a bit because you can see through things, but when you take photos without the blurred rim it doesn't do that. BoP wise it seems slightly off the pace to VRC P1 cars.

Would be cool if someone can update the 2016 Audi then we would have all the latest P1 cars.

I used CM to install it. If I open up the original file the tire zip file is in there. I'll try to manually load it where it's supposed to go and see if that fixes it. Maybe something in the way CM loads it isn't allowing the tire zip to be recognized? I don't know, that's way over my head because I really don't know how all of this stuff works anyway. It's an absolute miracle how I get anything to work correctly to begin with.
I don't know how CM works when it unzip, where it put the folders.

I always recommend to install stuff manually to be sure that folders goes in the place they should be

well my version is only the HDF configuration, the GTP one is go-to for the LDF configuration so this is the best bet that will need some work done on them.

hey people.

my tires do not produce smoke with tire Lockup or burnout csp 2.0 all is turned on at max, tried turning off etc nothing works.
any tips?

Greetings to everyone, I wanted to share this JAGUAR XJ6 mod that I improved, created by Speed90 but which they abandoned some time ago...
I have improved the shaders, the skins are now paintable via CM, the skins all have original colors, the windshield wiper blades now both work, the windows are ready for rain even the rear ones, the headlights are now reflective. There is still a lot of work to do and I hope that some members will take the initiative to further improve this mod which I believe is a good starting point.
The physics have not been touched and neither has the 3D model
The author can request the removal of the mod at any time

WEC 2024 #54 & #55 Vista AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 SKINS (with driver suit):
(also 2 power.luts for your BOPing pleasure, (download below, separately)) To implement, you must unpack the chemflummi ferrari, replace the power.lut with your replacement choice (& rename that replacement by removing the ".XXXhp"), repack the data folder and then delete the data folder.

POST Qatar updates done. New sponsor on #55. A few color corrections. New "N" with power stickers. These are done.

BTCC Ford Escort

see updates section for files to remove side and rear badges
(only just figured that out)

drag and drop to CM to install

this car was originally made/created/reworked by the following people : EarthWormJim90, edited by Riky_Sim and Masscot

what i have done:

- reworked the og skin (not upscaled just reworked for better quality on certain parts). Window banner added as the real life car had one and also added tape on the front lights as the real life car had them aswell as Avon tyre walls.

- 3 x 4k skins all close enough replica's

- removed many floating 3d objects in the cockpit also removed things like seatbelts through an ext_config.

- front fog lights removed as they were never present on the real life car when in Btcc (thanks to Carajillo for renaming the front glass texture in 3d so i could hide it through an ext_config

everything else has been left as is.

this car does need more work in 3d on the rear of the inside but that doesn't bother me much really i only just noticed recently. I just wanted to "push it a little further on" so to speak. There are other things i would of like to have done but without going into the rabbit hole of 3d it was not achievable.

thanks

A VR problem with this car has always been the sundial speedo and tachos. Those needles could poke your eye out if you're not careful.
Any chance these could be aligned parallel to the faces of the dials?

yeh i have had great fun with this car also. Had it for a fair while now easily 4-5 months i only noticed the missing panels a week ago while i was hiding things in the interior, took me a while to figure out it wasn't something i done accidentally. I'm not sure who did the physics but like i say I've had a blast even if it's only on a controller. Glad you are enjoying it

if i knew how to do this i would 100% do it right now for you no question. But i haven't a clue im affraid. Unfortunately my skill level is very narrow at the moment

Yeah I know, and I've been told over and over again, "Don't use CM to install stuff, always do it manually!!" But I'm so afraid of not doing it right when doing it manually. I'm unsure where things are supposed to go, I lose track of them, etc. So if I have an option of just dragging and dropping I would rather try that first. It seems less complicated especially when I'm not that computer file savy to begin with. But I'll try another complete uninstall then do it manually to see what happens.

But when I try this, I should just manually move your your complete downloaded file into "content" then "cars" and everything should work?

If everything works like it should, this little american car should be ready in the next month :D
hope you are excited and will like the Corvette

I've been waiting for chem's corvette to come out, but now that patience is gone. Introducing a new banger from the Corvette skinner himself. I'll be continuing to support F302's C6.R. Here is the link, hope you guys enjoy the pack: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/gold3ns-corvette-c6-r-livery-pack.67307/

I'll have a go at the sundials. I'll DM you the altered version.

I had noticed the same issue with some of the cars. By chance I figured out that when "Cutting" the car folder to my Desktop, and then "Copying" it back to the ac cars-folder, it solved the issue most of the times. (this creates a fresh new timestamp for the "creation/modified date" of the folder. Nothing else changed inside the folders. ) It worked for flipped mirrors, blurred mirrors and rotated mirrors.
This did the trick!!
Thanks so much , I was searching for any file that was written in assetto folder or anywhere, but couldn't find the workaround.

( I hope this will give a nudge for a fix for this in a next CSP version, so this workaround will become unneeded )

thanks for this!! The only thing that bugs me is that in the other version I have of the car, you can see the "spokes" of the wheel, and in yours, they seem..."hollow" (as you can see in the video). Can you fix that?

I've been noticing an issue at the Grand East, Grand West, and South courses at Virginia International Raceway where the AI come into the Spiral too hot, overshoot the initial downhill left-hander, and take to the grass. SaxoKyle addressed this issue at the Grand East Course as part of his recent VIR 48-pit mod, and I've corrected it for the Grand West and South layouts. Just drop these ai_hints.ini files into their respective data folders. There are no ai_hints files for those layouts by default, so you won't be overwriting anything.

On my end, it happens with the original car too, once it reaches a certain speed...

not any formula car, a 2010 one !

Quite happy to finally see professionals doing 2010 cars. That era is really underrated and i don't understand why it has been ghosted for so long until i arrive
But we have your great mods with individual shapes and physics and not kill-my-pc levels of details that I can't run a full field with.

I'm glad you liked it, here is the updated link with the fix, I removed blurred_objects.ini as recommended by Jaba12 and now everything is ok
