That is a correct mod for this upd.

Hello, gentlemen? I hope you're all well.
Can someone tell me why the options below no longer appear? I don't remember all of them, but I do know there was an option to hear the car's engine sound. Any ideas? Thanks.

I am open for doing more AI lanes - send requests
Well you might have your hands full now, but in case you need another suggestion. LaChub has made add-on layouts for Pascani circuit by doublezero. Unfortunately the AI spline for the "X2" layout is broken (Reconfirm, went back to download it again, still the same). The remaining layouts work fine.

Here's the link if you're interested

@X90
Try to test with and without HT.
Overclock your i9-9900k to 5ghz and check temperatures during racing, my i9-9900KS is at 5,2Ghz and have lowered the Voltage that in combination with PCVR only, optimized Win10, 32Gb high speed DDR4 RAM and the RTX5070ti.
Use software to divide CPU core for AC only/other processes, affinity/pior/forced shutdown. Process Lasso or Bill2 .
Thanks for pointing me to Bill2's Process Manager! This is highly appreciated (effective and free) software. Proces Lasso does the same, but Bill's2 is what I need (more simple). Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I asked about this before, but no one answered. Anyway.
Is it possible in AC to somehow create a race weekend divided into days? For example, practice and qualifying on Saturday, and the race on Sunday? Like it on AMS 2 or PCars.
Ideally, it would also be possible to set the start time and weather for this.
I poked around in the CM settings, but didn't figure it out completely.

Hi all, I created 8 extra skins for the Porsche 935 2020 by RTM (recently found in ACTK garage)...

These skins include fixes that make it really enjoyable in VR!
* better windows tint (was too milky)
* rpm LEDs more visible
* darker grays & blacks (mainly exterior plastic)
* improved interior carbon (no more disturbing unreal reflections on the doorpanel!)
* improved protective material on the roll-cage
* include matching driver helmets & pit crew colors

No, it isn't - I just open pure planner at the start of each session and change the time/weather

Hi, out of curiosity what can I get with this software? Correct me if I'm wrong, can I direct all my pc resources to AC? Can an old boomer like me use it?

Thanks ;)
I use this for:
  • Shutdown all the not needed processes like all those Steam extras, unexpected virus scanning activity, windows store, web browser, win update and the not needed Svchost.exe.
  • Give priority to the game itself and lower or even idle other not important ones.
  • Make selected cores exclusively for AC only (affinity)
you have to test it if it is useful in your rig, could be it’s not effective like in Win11 there seems to be a affinity ruler been introduced. Or complete unnecessary if running a topdog like a AMD 7800X3D
My 2019 i9-9900KS 5,2Ghz OC, 50% of the total 8cores+8HT are now exclusive for AC and I do see a lowering of max load per core.
Also the CPU Frame times on my PC shows not that impressive improving, but it’s more consistent and personally i think in VR, lowering fluctuations is more important than a high FPS. In other words I prefer 60fps straight more then 90fps but also fluctuating. Now on the other hand if you see one or two cores is sometimes reaching 90% (be aware you can not detect the quick100% peaks) think this is the solution to reduce.
Note: Later I will publish here some other free software so you have a choice.

Edit: Free ones I have used or did try out:
https://www.d7xtech.com/daffinity/ No shutdown function
https://bitsum.com/ Bit to complex and high load on your CPU.
https://www.bill2-software.com/processmanager/download-en.shtml my preferred one because it’s simple.
https://systemexplorer.net/ never used it only a few try outs, but it is working.
http://www.koma-code.de/ “CPU-control” simple but old, only for 4 core CPU.

"Technical" question
Organizing a custom championship, for example "Wec Championship": to get good performance and better game management, it's better to use a mod pack from a single modder of lower quality? I have mods from different modders but of high quality?

Hi there.

Hope al well in Switserland (Nice country btw, although mainly passing through to Italy!).
"Old Boomer" eh?. Well I'm 57 myself, so we're both in the same boat I guess.

To answer your question; This app/soft has the ability in changing affinity to programs (like AC for instance).
(Windows can do the same in fact in taskmanager, but....will not retain your settings after a reboot...)

I'm playing with the settings myself (Adding a rule to acs.exe; affinity above normal, high, assigning PC cores, etc.).
Increasing affinity should not be the best to do, so I read somewhere, but assigning PC cores (and eliminating HT (Hyper-Treading) might well be.

I'm on 4K (2160p) with addition of 2x SGSSAA (Yeah, I know, has some (slight) impact on VRAM performance, but...jaggies now all REALLY gone!) and I need as much resources I can lay my hands on with say ~+25 car AI.

Still to find out my "best" settings. Maybe there will be none in the end that will be better than the default, however playing around in order to (hopefully) achieve (even better) results might be something worthwile and to explore. One never knows, eh.

Tried Process Lasso earlier. More complicated to my liking (Old Boomer here too as I mentioned).
(And for what it matters, I drive with a....joystick.... :-). I too have flight simulators taking care of you must know.

Regards from the Netherlands.

You think so?
Shame, as its their free mod. And update does not include their 3d model, no sound files too.
ASR are kinda stingy about their mods. They went after people on Racedepartment for making skins for their cars, claiming ownership etc. They make good mods but the way they handle the rest is kinda wank.

-----------------------------

In other words, does anyone know of a point-to-point track similar to Pikes Peak but not as long? I'm looking for a decent point-to-point track to test cars on. As fun as Pikes Peak is, it's a bit too long, and making one mistake means restarting the whole lap which gets frustrating after four crashes. I used to test at Rechberg, but someone pointed out that the track was inaccurate, and that kind of ruined the enjoyment of the climb after doing some comparisons. I tried looking around and found a lot of cool tracks made by Renntom, but many of them have terrible lighting, and the grass and textures in general look radioactive. Are there any decent point-to-point tracks for Assetto Corsa that are similar in length to Rechberg and don't look like they were made for rFactor 1?

Well there's dobsina hillclimb where I usually drive stuff, it's around 7000 m in length and quality is fine for me. Hopefully that will do. Don't remember where I got it from though, found it on one of those ac sites ages ago

Maybe Akina or the first stage in Targa Florio?
