Ford Matech GT1 updated V2 // Probably the best actual glow up, New engine bay with a real engine inside, new rims and brake systems, new mapping, new objects, 3d model fully revised, new front and rear lights, new textures, animated shifter, complete new data (aero, tyres, suspension, power, AI, cameras...), new CSP configs and additions, LMS skins created and added, actual skins revised, new lods, new sound by NekoTaisen // DON'T FORGET TO DELETE THE OLD CAR AND MAKE A CLEAN INSTALL! (Link has been updated in the original post to reflect this)

Note: Disable ABS in the tuning menu. Car did not have it irl so having it enabled causes the brakes to not work.
Updated link to the new one in the original post, Fixes the camera being inside of the drivers helmet as people pointed out etc.
Or you can just press this link and download the data.acd file directly and just replace the one in the folder.

NPanic has really nailed this Alpine A210 model, ready to be on par with RSS in terms of visual quality <3

Does anyone happen to know if anyone has brought the Dirtfish Compound from Dirt Rally 2.0 into AC? Or have any recommendations for a good skid pad, possibly with mixed surfaces for throwing around some rally cars? Closest I've found are some drift tracks w/open lots

Any chance of a non-discord link with the fully updated Ford GT1 mod? (For those of us who don't do Discord)

Is anyone having problems with the Assetto Corsa "apps"?

Many of them, mainly related to Rally (I can't activate them), as well as others (even if I marked "phyton apps" in the config).

Most of them were working perfectly.

After I had to install practically everything (related to Assetto) on the new HD (I lost almost everything on the old one) when I had problems.

Thank you in advance!!

Anyone know what's going on with these stupid trees?

I've narrowed the issue down to Pure - specifically the "light.sun.level" parameter, which honestly doesn't tell me much. It seems to be how the sun interacts with 2D trees. Can't find how to change that.

Happens on Toscana, Black Rock Motor Resort and Autopolis (PieZello) - and that's all I've tested. I'm sure it's way more.

Latest Pure and CSP - changing PPFs and disabling all relevant CSP extensions does nothing (except for WeatherFX, obviously, which fixes the issue but kills all nu-lighting).

CSP is not only fully organic, but has a mind of it's own, it will gain conscience sometime in the future and wipe us out.
(LCS, pure PPF)

The fully updated mod had it's link updated in the original post. Which just directs you to the Google drive that Tomsim has put up on his discord.

Actually this has nothing to do with Pure in general. What you are referring to is just the amount of sun light. So I guess those trees have a problem with the ksDiffuse or better the ksSpecular shader value. Maybe this is way to high.

Maybe you have a too high "light.sun.specular" value. I saw this in the last weeks. People are trying to boost the specular reflections to compensate the weak CSP LCS sun reflections. And then you have those ugly specular artifacts on the grass and trees.

Actually speculars should be 1:1 with the sun light.

Removing Pure and either using the CSP Standard weather or disabling WeatherFX altogether instantly fixes the issue.

I attempted to alter every single slider in the Lights tab of Pure Config, including "Light.sun.specular". No change. Except for the sun level - which as I described earlier, has a direct effect.

It should be noted that I am using "Power of the Sun" in those screenshots, but of course I toggled that as well. While it changes the pattern of the splotches, the visual result of "Power of the Sun" unticked is much the same.

The question is, which CSP version are you using? There was a version where the specular adjustment was no more working. And so you have no control over it. Those artifacts are caused by the specular shader and yes, this is directly dependent on the sun light.

BTW, what you mean with "power of the sun"?

Which PPfilter do you use? Did you already try with the "pure" standard PPfilter?

(yes, the PPFs I tried included PureHDR).

Power of the Sun I believe is a feature of the PPF I am using (C13 AEGIS) that boosts sunlight-based contrast.

I tried one more combo tonight (Guerilla GT4s at shin's Tokachi) and while the issue is present in this Tokachi mod, it's about 15% as noticeable. So it must indeed be some short of shader mismanagement.

I'd say it has something to do with the age of the track mod, as Piezello's tracks are from COVID and Toscana is from the stone age, but Frosty's Black Rock Motor Resort update released literally hours ago - and it might be the worst out of the three.

This problem is a textures problem. You define the speculars also with the alpha channel in the texture. You don't see it in the default and gamma shaders that much, but the base of the problem is still visible:

default / gamma:

Pure Gamma:

Pure LCS:

with boosted speculars:

without speculars
1746264640102.png

So the problem was always there, but you don't see it this much if weatherFX is off.

If you can't adjust the speculars, it is maybe because of the ppfilter/script or because of your installed CSP version.
I tried CSP 0.2.7 now and it works there, so it should also work with CSP 0.2.8p1

If not on your side, i would recommend to manually install CSP again, if you have a preview, delete the dwrite.dll before you extract the new files into the AC root folder.

@X90 re: those trees

you can turn off the specular (which should be off/0 for trees), try adding this to ext_config.ini

[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
ACTIVE = 1
DESCRIPTION = Trees
MATERIALS = shader:ksTree ; or the material name
PROP_... = ksSpecular, 0.0
This is the fix - exactly what I was looking for. Not 100% perfect but pretty close to it. The shine has almost completely been removed from the trees, and the washed out streaks are gone. Looks good now. Cheers.

Bookmarking this fix for future reference.

I feel like I wandered into some VIP lounge by mistake.
Lol, I am not C13. Reworded my original post to clear that up.

Good evening.
Could anyone tell me how to "open" car files from the NR2003 game to try to adapt the Nascar "skins" (1964/1969/1970).

I was able to download some (already opened)...others come with the "complete carset" but I don't know the procedure to try to open them.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on with this guy "JLCJB" and his mods?

I remember trying a few years ago to figure out the deal with his Discord - and ended up just giving up, as I couldn't post or download anything once I got in.

His Val de Vienne has shown up on Breathe's list again recently, but now I can't even get into his Discord at all. All links around the internet are dead - and his Patreon has zero pictures, video or any information outside of prices (lol).

What is his deal? His tracks seem to be in a Schrodinger's state of "are/are not commercially available" - and there's no information on his tracks that I can find anywhere. I can't test any of the tracks myself either (either legitimately or "illegitimately") - there's frankly no way I'm paying $10 up front for something with literally zero information and zero indication of quality outside of a grainy 30 FPS YouTube video.

I've heard (very, very seldomly, as pretty much no one either in this thread or elsewhere has useful information) that his scratch-made esoteric French tracks are pretty good. Obviously, that's interesting to me, but past that, I have nothing.

Anyone hip, let me know if this pursuit is worth furthering, or if I should just drop it again like I did in 2022. Cheers.

Not me, but I can try to find some photos...
absolutely, try having a search in your native language it may bring up alot more pictures than i can find myself especially when it comes to Europe. I am currently doing a few more skins for this car even though i said i would not due to finding more pictures, so if you can find anything i will have a go

I tried the link and it didn't work. It still doesn't... and says "Sorry, the file you have requested does not exist."
