I'm kind of surprised this one hasn't been done already - but, is anyone working on RainFX for DDM_Fujimi_Kaido? I'm not against learning to do it myself, but I know a few of us here like making configs - @Cozy61 and @PGMurphy seem to be the main standouts there ;)

Thought it'd be a nice addition to the class 1 collection (even though it's private or says no I'd understand) And also to run some 1993 and 1994 DTM races. And before you answer if you'd think I'd be doing adjustments....no. I don't do that at all only things i'd change is the AI to make em compete well against others prime example being the 997 GT3 RSR from neils GT pack. :lol:

Edit: The community from where you bought the track, from your words - 'they didn't take me into consideration' .
If they don't have any consideration for a costumer, one legitim action, is stop buying from them.
Anyway, sorry for any damage. It wasn't intentional.

I'm getting some weird reflections off the rocks (and even the distant mountains!) when exiting the tunnel during very heavy rain with this config, forward GP route. Any idea what might be causing it?

Updated the G82 M4's Physics

Fully reworked physics, proper power output and gearing.

Still some bugs, it was a quick fix only. I broke the G-Meter in the instrument panel and couldn't fix it.

visible bug would be the front windshield and side glass, missing rim blur.

It should drive a lot better now.

Trying these out and they're pretty good.

There's a problem with the La Jolla track. It's named "aa_la_jolla.kn5.kn5" -- one too many Kn5s. Remove the extra one and the track will load without an error that the track can't be found.

I reckon it's a CSP thing - Try removing the RainFX from the rest of the config and see if it still does it - Then do the opposite to see if its the original config entries. That may help...hopefully 👍

Any idea what might have broken the g-meter? Be good to get that back, the little dead dot looks quite sad.

I tried looking for where this setting is located, but no luck. Its not part of digital instrument or csp config. Fuel gauge also doesn't work and odo seems to be there as placeholder, so it may just need a csp config line.
 
Autodromo International Siracusa v1.0

Located in Eastern Sicily, the small circuit of Autodromo International Siracusa is now a shadow of its former, more prestigious self.

Originally a street circuit, racing began in Spring 1950 when the circuit held the 1st Coppa d’Oro di Sicilia (Sicily Golden Cup), a race for Sport cars. The following year the circuit held the first Syracuse Grand Prix, a non championship F1 race. The circuit continued to host F1 races until 1967, with racing coming to an end in 1970. By 2000, a new permanent circuit was built and small racing events were held.

Recently, this circuit fell out of use and is now abandoned. We have brought it back to its former glory!

Thank you @RMi_wood and everyone that helped improve and release this track. It's definitely suited for faster cars, especially DRM and vintage F1.

Crema Test Complex v1.10

Welcome to the Kunos / Crema Test Complex.
Originally designed by Kunos for testing in NetKar and the vaporware title "NetBike", from which this track is derived.

Enjoy nearly 9km of decreasing radius, off-camber corners, a blistering straight, a dedicated skidpad... and glorious facilities.

Crema Test Complex is a private facility and offers no provisions for racing of any kind, nor provides liability for more than 1 vehicle/team per rental session.

NOTE:
AI is disabled by default, otherwise you will be bounced to the pits if you do not follow "the route".
This is due to the dual routes that cross over each other.
If you wish to enable laptimes you must rename ./ai/fast_lane-.ini to ./ai/fast_lane.ini
You must also follow a very specific route...

From pit garage turn left to enter the track, stay left. Follow the signs "Test Track"

Take "Sector 1"

You will come past the pits, take the exit for "Skidpad", keep right, pick a radius
Exit skidpad and keep right, continue through to "Sector 2"
The start/finish is at the entrance to "Sector 1"

Permissions from Kunos are pending at this time (no response)

(infact... there is no surfaces file, or any track data, as a "proof" of concept by myself.

To be able to drive there this afternoon, in VR, in Glorious AC with all the toppings, was "almost" like being there.
I drove this track a lot back in the days, when NetKar pro was my favorite, most real, simulator.
To be able to revisit, in 2021, in VR is such a pleasure. And so fitting that AC is the one allowing that because of the passion and work from modder like you. Grazie! :cheers:

Hi i am author of the car. Thanks for new data. I don't have enough knowledge for realistic physics etc. editing.

I fixed g-meter;


G meter working like wing and it affects physics (This was the reason for slow performance in the old version) Is it possible to cancel/zero the affect on physics? I've been able to reduce it to the least possible affect for now.

That cars lod.ini isn't set correctly. You need to unpack the data.acd with Content Manager, then look inside the folder named data for lods.ini. Under the lod_0 setting you'll see a number listed for the "out" setting - increase that number to something rather large, like 2500 or so. The car won't disappear on you anymore...

Don't forget to rename the data.acd to xdata.acd or something like that otherwise AC will continue to read the original data no matter what you change.

Ah, you're dead right - thanks. It's nothing to do with the config, it does it when raining even if the config is disabled. Seems CSP is to blame. Maybe a 'wet rock' effect? Who knows. It does look a little odd though.
