I want to do this with my Peugeot 908, fully tuned, with my drivers at level 32.

Can they accomplish the task and avoid bringing out the overkill X2010?

You need 3 drivers.
You may get lucky and get a rain tires glitch.
But I would upgrade to a FGT to make sure you win.
Your drivers are 3 b-spec levels levels under par for this level 35 event.
The key stats are stamina
They may even run out of strength before the car requires a pit stop this will give the AI a chance to catch up to them..
Run the event for 1 hour and see how far they lead buy.
If they don't lead change up the car.
