For all those who are new - The sign ups is a very easy process, quite simply you have 3 choices, either stay at your current team, join a team in an OPEN marked seat or try and take someone else's seat. Of course, if you were picked in the lotto, then you can't stick with your current team.

The drivers listed in Italic means it is who currently owns the seat for Season 7, you must wait for the desicion before your answer is given, drivers in Bold indicate they have confirmed the seat and it cannot be taken from them, OPEN means no driver currently has the seat.

Spyker Shock Double Dump

Spyker has suprised many pundits with dropping not one but both their race drivers for next season. The statement was made at their headquarters in Silverstone, England by Colin Kolles:

"Spyker will actively be looking for two new drivers to take us back to our glory times of Season 2, We wish both David and Matt the best for the future"

No drivers has yet to be confirmed.

Mason leaves BMW for Renault

After his promising year so far at BWM in the GTP F1 World Championship, 4th place driver Luke Mason today announced that he would be leaving BMW F1, a team for which he has spent 3yrs at and that a contract had been signed with Renault F1. While Mason regrets leaving BMW at whats looking at being very positive times, he said the Renault offer is one he cant refuse,

"As you progress though the ranks you dream about racing with the top team, and now i have finally got that opportunity."

later saying,

"My time spent with BMW was great, and id like to thank the team for all their efforts throughout the years, especially this year. Also a big cheers to Bruno, who's efforts at lifting BMW out of the bronks has made for a great season."

Hopefully Mason and BMW can continue there rare streak of form in the German GP this weekend.

Davidson Ends Honda Nightmare

Lee Davidson has confirmed he will not be coninuing his contract with Honda into Season 8. Since returning to the Brackley based squad, Davidson has had many triumphs but also a fair few problems, notibly he has spoken out against the development, or lack of, within the team. Lee appeared to have had enough when, whilst being interviewed by ITV before the qualifying session of the German GP, he stated:

"I'm definate I will not be here this time next season. It's been a horrible return."

This story has been fueled by reports that Davidson has been in talks with both Frank Williams and Christian Horner about possible drives although nothing has been confirmed.
 
Is the new season up yet... if not I'll take Toyota with Ultrashot.

But more perferredly, could I stay with Dave on Spyker? :D
 
McLaren Dumps Team Founder

In a shock move, McLaren have not re-signed the founder of their team, for the eighth season of GTP F1.

Despite a impressive performance in most races this season, McLaren (the team) said their reason for dropping McLaren (the man) was down to blowing numerous chances of a win - something that you cannot afford to do if you want to win the WDC.

Rumour has is that McLaren (the man) wishes to team up with his teammate last season (and nemesis this season), Yuuji Kawasie.
 
Keller signs with Toyota​

The somewhat less than appealing rookie, Matthew Keller, has signed with Toyota for season eight. After a less than promising Seson 7, Keller was chosen in the lottery to be separated from his orginal teammate. This comes in conjuntion with the entire Midland team leaving the F1 circuit the team is now know as Spyker. Keller's teammate, Bram Machiels, has yet to comment on his teammate.

"Davidson Should Be Here Next Season" - Williams

Williams F1 Team have dropped a strong hint that Lee Davidson has signed for the team next season. The contract details are as of yet unknown but neither Davidson or manager Martin Brundle have yet to dismiss the rumour, if it's untrue at all.
 
WIRE: Kawasie has announced at a recent press conference his plans to rejoin Midland for Season 8 following his sudden dismissal from Super Aguri earlier today. Full story to come.
