Just unlocked the PDW-R. Man, this thing is awesome at closed-ranged battles, specially at Opr. Metro. Killed 23 in my first try. Now the question is if I'm going to replace my adorable M4A1 for it.

Thats the gun I mostly use with the medic class and recon beast of a gun
 
Well the wait was almost worth it, jumped in on Noshahr Canals for RU and got in a tank, first thirty seconds shoot down a helo for a quad kill and 860 points...

Almost worth it? Were you not jumping for joy after the quad kill? What other game gives you that? Haha
 
After many months of putting it off i finally got this game just before xmas and wow it feels like they nailed it with this one.
I enjoyed Bad company 2 but it didnt have the wow factor but this one is amazing, i've actually stopped playing GT5 and havent touched it for over a week now :eek: which hasnt happened with any other game.

After being a COD player for so many years it took a while to adjust but i've now got a positive K/D ratio and got the hang of most vehicles,maps and weapon attachments now.
The only thing left to master is how to fly the ******* jets , there's no where to practise unless i'm online which half the time ends up with me crashing and killing half my squad which happens to be inside and it makes it all that more frustrating when i keep getting killed by someone in a heli or jet and their flying them like their tom cruise in topgun :banghead::banghead:

Great game tho!!
 
Yeah it's a shame there's no practice but flying to a reasonable skill isn't too hard once you get used to it. 👍 For now you will have to make do with the endless suicides :lol:

I wish I could get a good KD going, with the objective games I'm usually fairly high up there so it doesn't make me feel totally useless even if I can't shoot to save my life!

Unlocked the F2000 last night, can't wait to try it.

Best advice I can give you is spam med kits and ammo kits.... I nearly have my fourth resupply medal (each medal is 10,000 pts), just three more ribbons.... Its fairly easy to get a lot of points with them... especially on maps like Metro where you have obvious choke points... Just hang back a bit and keep chucking out med kits and ammo kits while your teammates are trying to get past these choke points... watch your scores sky rocket :) Reviving is also a good way to score, since its worth as much as a kill... 👍
 
Well my server issue has sorted itself out and I had a superb session last night despite my team being outnumbered and out gunned for most of the games XD Although it did randomly disconnect me after the first game I played.

If anyone wants someone to play online with, add hywelkidd on PSN. I could do with more BF3 players on my friends list lol.

What you need is a foregrip 👍 gundalini has some links a few pages back showing most of the guns have pretty much the same recoil, barring some standouts.

Had crap sessions just now - quitters on my team and a gazillion wings on the other.

Although I can understand the quitters sometimes - I hate playing RU on Noshahr if the other team gets a Little Bird and Engi together. Game. Over.

M16 and M4 you get in the beginning have low recoil... When you open up the M249 (Support, unlocked quite quickly) and get a grip on it, it becomes an assault rifle with a 200 round mag and low recoil. Also the G36C and M416 have low recoil imo... My accuracy is not the best so I prefer guns with low recoil as well... :lol: Oh yeah and how could I forget... The USAS-12 with 12G frag rounds is a mobile tank cannon with low recoil.... :D You don't unlock that until level 43 though.

Just had a game on there, some guy was whoring the LAV like noone else, he went 27-4. Meanwhile I unlock the G36C

Easy, aim for the head :-). It's hard but once you get a feeling, they will be dropping like flies :-).

Blitz187, tomorrow i'll be online, we'll we do squad TDM!? Would love to get rid of that assignment. For recon assignment (laser designate target) does it count just to laser them or those laser targets must be destroyed!?

I don't have plans so I think I can make it tomorrow and I agree... I need to get rid of that assignment ASAP... its just sitting there the whole time staring at me... :p

If I were you I'd stick with the USAS-12, unlock frag rounds after 60 kills and then have fun before they nerf it. I unlocked it last Friday and used it mostly on CQC in Rush matches like Metro.... By Sunday I had 8 kills shy of 300 kills and 35 shotgun ribbons.... Maybe it's a TAD overpowered... :lol: Last match I had on Metro with it I was 41-18 KDR without even trying very hard... :crazy:

The most kills I have got so far is 600+kills with a PDW I use that with the Assault class and recon it works very well for me...

Thanks for the tip, forgot about the M416, just used it on Seine Crossing and had an absolute beast of a game, 28-10 and I got 11317 score before bonuses.

Pic is just uploading... (photo stream is being hell stubborn)

And another one on Op Metro, 27-11, mean baserape for 9 kill streak, forgot to reload my pistol and got killed after dropping two dudes in a row.

And 10-1 on Tehran Highway, also got an assault service star and the flag attacker ribbon, 25000 point game for me, why did I stop playing this?

Ok, keep using that weapon if it suits you :), I was kind of stressing the short period of time I got that amount of kills with the USAS-12/Frag in my post. No other gun Ive used amassed that many kills in such a short period of time... When I use it on Op Metro, for example, I can pretty much gaurantee 30+ kills that match and then add any objective score to that as well... :lol: I understand why so many people whine about that gun combo on Battlelog now... Its just a killing machine... :scared:

I had an awesome game after some 🤬 ones last night where I started in the chopper at Noshahr, but as a passenger, then the chopper pilot takes me to the enemy spawn, which was the carrier out in the bay.
He hovers around the deck, and when the Littlebird turns up, drops me right by it, so I could grab it.
Spent almost the entire round in it, till I hit the roof of a building near B flag, trying to dodge some SMAW's being thrown at me.

Longest I have ever lasted in a chopper.
Great fun!
Good practice too.

I then had a game with some Aussies at Kharg, which lasted about 37 minutes!
They seemed to be fairly new to it all, judging by their banter, but they all had higher levels than me, which was strange.
We dragged it out till there were only 13 tickets left on each side!
We lost, but I had a lot of fun, unlocked loads of stuff for the AH 1Z, levelled up my character and most of my weapons almost twice.....

Good times....

I saw you flying that chopper yesterday. To bad we didn't have a good team :-(.

How ofter does a chopper respawns once it was shoot down!? I was waitng for one but didn't have luck.
 
I had good session on Squad Deathmatch last night and I have decided I love that game mode.
Requires different tactics to normal Deathmatch, in one game everyone on my Squad had a positive K/D but we still only came second.

I'm guessing the choppers turn up about 30 seconds to 1 minute after they have been shot down, I would say more towards 1 minute. 👍

The problem is, they are often snatched by spawning players before you can get in them, even if you are waiting by the side of one!

I got up to put my headphones on last night as it was getting a bit late (1AM) for the neighbours to hear all the explosions.
When I sat back down in the seat, the Havoc I had been waiting for spawned, and took off before I could grab the pad and press O. :grumpy:

If only we could squad up earlier, we would have been ace squad :-).
I am not trying to maintain K/D ratio but rather it's byproduct of trying to get the goal + I always leave some claymores as surprise :-). I am still trying to unlock as much weapons as possible, and then I'll go with one rifle until 5 stars are achieved :-).

I might be able to rejoin you soon, Sony sent me the wrong disc back after the whole fiasco I had with sending me broken replacement as well! They've now agreed to send me a Bf3 copy once they receive the Blops they sent me, so maybe by the time BF4 comes out I'll be getting my game back :lol:.
