I tried a stock Ballade Sports CRX on Comfort Soft.
I could keep the pace but I didn´t came nowhere near the first 5 positions.
Average lap times were low 51s.
Car had 101 bhp and 344 PP.

If you want a decent challenge , select a car that can do 46secs at best and stay on stock tyres.

btw Tokyo Bay is only good for Credit grinding.

Stock Fiat Punto Abarth '00 is a good challenge - only needed better tyres for R246. Actually managed quicker times with that than a stock Lancia Integrale!

I've had this car twice now in online shuffle races, and I vowed if I ever get this car again, I will throw my GT5 game disc far into the horizon until it lands on Kaz' desk. Worst online car ever. Unfortunately, shuffle racing is never random, so I always get this car at the 2nd shuffle.

hehe the one you mentioned should be the one with the RR drivetrain. Its very hard to drive smoothly on comforts i agree.
The one i mentioned above is the 4wd version which is more stable (but still tailhappy)

I tried my friends Toyota RSC road going version and it just handles terribly. I came 2nd in the grand valley east race (after spinning out twice).

I'm trying my Fiat 500 that I used for the expert seasonal. No turbos & sports hard tyres. P2 so far at Rome...

Cappuccino 95, 400 PP Sport Softs stock trannsmission and suspension. Had a quick go using DS3 only managed 2nd at Rome but once I get the wheel out might need to reduce the tyre spec to make a good race of it. Good fun car, fair match I'd say.

Think I'll also revisit my 79 Civic 1500 and maybe a 60s Japanese classic or something.

For the first race, I took an Opel speedster turbo tuned to over 400, and that was just too easy...

next race I tried the Honda Fit race car, tuned to 385 or so, and again that was too easy...

so the next race I took out the old '44 VW Schwimmenwagen (can't even spell that...) tuned it to its max! (~370) and so far managed 2nd place..

so based on that, the best car for the new compact car challenges, is the '44 VW Schwimmenwagen!!!

thinking about trying the little Midget D2 truck too it looks pretty fun

I used a Kubelwagon too, great fun. Tuned up it barely does 100mph (boy does that sound ridiculous) but it corners like a housefly. I used the Fiat 500 from the expert seasonals with the restrictions removed for Tokyo R246 as that ones all about speeeeeeeed.

I used a Mugen s2000 and an Audi tt. Thinking about busting out one of my beamer coupes today

Spoon CR-z!!! What a blast..cockpit view, ABS 1 only, no HUD. Had to add racing air filter to catch that Mini though!!!!

Spoon CIVIC TYPE R (EK) '00, it's a standard car but can easily do a lap of the last track in 40 seconds.

I use the Spoon Fit Race Car, it wins without a hitch but it's still fun to drive alongside the other little compact cars.

a (down)tuned Triumph Spitfire is great at all seasonals.

this car sounds wicked , and different at each 1000 RPM stage. Drive smoothly with it, and it will obey every inch of every track.

I also praise Praiano for all his favorable tunes, and look forward to every one.

I miss driving a good tuned Lambo, geez, this has to be on my immediate todo list. (best feeling/car was S-Licence challenge, Galladro Grand Valley test)

In case you guys and gals didn't know, this is worth gold, worth your time to tune your favorite , or Random! car:

Alpine A310 1600VE ‘73 - spun out too often with this one, untuned from OCD, on the grandvalley East track, came in 4th. great challenge for the nimble drivers.

p.s please PD, come out with DLC within 6 months, because by the time Diablo 3 hits the PC, I'm out cold, PS3 will collect dust for the next two years.

I used my fully modded Karmann Ghia.

Fun to drive and pretty on par with the opposition.

I used a Ghia on tokyo bay, modded except for no turbo. lots of fun too. As others have said, this has been a great series for using all those cars I ended up with but hadn't had a race for. The low-power and cheap tires forced me to take completely different lines and alter brake points, etc.

I am using Golf GTI 1 76 tonight, great fun, but struggling on tokyo R246.

Stock other than soft sports

A stock (no engine stage or weight stage mods) RUF BTR '86. De-tuned at 282HP, and the ballast added to meet the 450pp limit. I can't believe no one else has tried it. They meet the length requirement, that's all I need. Just an aero wing tuned to 7. Looks like a man among boys racing true compact cars. try it.

Toyota RSC. fully soft suspension+max ride height+full camber and racing soft tires. makes for some awesome hoonage while still being able to beat the competition.

A stock Autobacs Arta Garayia with sport hards is fun and well matches the other cars. A stock Z4 is good if you want fast money :D

My Garayia is too long...am I using the wrong one?

The Porsche RUF 87 is short enough..so is the Elise I used in last seasonal....any other stomping suggestions?
