...no one has mentioned the Shelby Cobra? lol You have to buy a new one, do not do an oil change, lower the engine output to about 51% (and keep lowering it by a tick after every race). Try Sports hard tires on the kart track race for a challenge (the other races are all easy even with Sports hards).

Hi all, I'm new here, but I signed up to talk about the cars being used on the Seasonal events - isn't it about time they released one, nearly 4 weeks between releases is the longest I've ever seen.

Anyway, I love the latest release, and as many of you are, I'm using a Mazda Autozam AZ-1, and I've tricked it up, and it is at exactly 450PP, which is nice and neat, no need to add a weight ballast, nor detune the engine / remove parts. Funnily enough, without a massive turbo, its PP is about the same as a Mk VI Golf GTI (I know we only have MK V, but add a couple more horses and you're kinda close).

So here's my beast, especially love the carbon bonnet, makes it look brutal, even though its a smallish car. Added a carbon bonnet, all the weight reduction, all the engine runing and parts, it has custom suspension and lsd settings, I can post them if anyone's interested, its a beauty, I've been savouring the 5 time trials, but so far on the Tokyo R246, I can pull a 2:00.7

I'm going to read back on the other alternatives, because re-doing the seasonal events (As most of you probably know), continues to give you money, and makes it interesting trying to pull it off again, with a new car... But to be frank, if your car has 450PP, you should be winning by miles (My AZ-1 was ahead by the second lap I think).

For pure overkill the 98' M coupe, Z4, and the 06' S2000 do nicely. For fun, the Toyota MR2 1600 G-Limited Super Charger '86.

I was thinking that...has anyone tried?!

Yeah I just gave it a shot, above I said my AZ-1 could do it in 2:00.7, well I did that almost exactly, but the last lap I pulled a 1:59.98, so almost a second quickly - this is with adding a 200kg weight ballast (took the opportunity to make it 50/50 WD), and detuning the engine to 109BHP, to get my 450PP.

Its nice, I think I might be able to go even faster with a custom gear box, I don't know what its set at atm, but its stupidly high (for its current performance), I could barely get into 3rd gear on the straight (this is still Tokyo R246).

Not sure wat I am missing out but 2:06 is abt wat I can achieve currently. Added 2 kg ballast to meet requirement Wat's more I cheated n turned srf on. 1st still but way off both ur pace. Any tips?

And for the TT ? which car there.., i can't find TT thread, probably my ps3 browser or my own, but can some tell or give a link to TT 16 thread.
On topic: the RM-ed Civic made it too easy, i'lll try RM-ing a Cappucino and give that a go, and the Autozam's with DrSlump or Skunkyskunk tune. But i expect no difficulties in those cars either.
Greetings stano666 :)

You want compact, I'll give you compact:

Gran Turismo PDI Racing Kart 100 :D

Awsome. All of a sudden you overtake a Mini that looks like a lorry compared to you. And smashing into the back of an Alfa 147 is really scary :)

You'll have to add quite a bit of weight, but very funny to overtake all these cars in your little kart. Easy win :D

I've only tried it on Tokyo Bay, don't think it will work on Tokyo R246.

Opponents in this seasonal race have 390 PP at most and use sports hard tires. It seems obvious to me that are people going to win with 450 PP cars and/or tires better than those.

I had most fun in a MK4 Golf
all parts sport ( 180hp) and sports soft , about 390PP

Seems that way doesn't it? I'm keeping to Comfort soft as much as I can though - far more fun sliding about on Tokyo Bay Kart track :)

I typically use no aids - ABS included - and with about 390 PP and sports hard tires the difficulty for me (I'm a DFGT user) is just below medium*, so I can only imagine when better cars and tires and one or more assists are used. So far I tried with a Fiat Barchetta Giovane Due, a Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg ZR and a Honda CRX Del-Sol.

* If it wasn't for the 1 or 2 "rabbit" cars, typically modern Mini Coopers, I would rate this challenge as easy. I don't like that in most seasonal races opponents are quite slow except for the 2 or 3 top ones which are even almost too fast. It's hard to have a balanced challenge that way.

Used a Suzuki Swift, which I modded to look like the tuned variant in GT5 Prologue (carbon bonnet,Sideskirts and wing), along with more power and Racing tires

'06 Honda S2000 (Premium) with a couple of tweaks - it was actually a bit too good and easily won, the stock model on Comfort Softs would probably do - superb car to drive, has lovely feel.

IMO the best option for the final track is the PDI Racing Kart 100. You can easily win, and you don't need to do anything other than hold down the accelerator.

If you want fun, use the Toyota MR2 GT-S ‘97 with CS tires. If what you want is easy money, just change the tires to SM.

if you want the money fast just grab the FT-86

This is pretty much what I did really. The FT-86 is perfect if you're just doing these Compact Car Seasonal races for the money as you can easily beat the opposition, not to mention the fact that it's a great car to drive.

Lancia Stratos is very fun too. I won rome on my first try with comforts softs, completely stock. It's pretty easy to win with it, but it's such a challenge to drive fast. Very enjoyable driving experience. :)

i bought honda 2000 spoon in ucd and change oils, it was pretty easy. Also try kart too in tokyo bay. :sly: I mean it was easy to win not the oil change :)

I used my Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65. It really cooks around the track and looks good doing it. I wish this was a premium car.

Suzuki Cappuccino RM proved to be very good for the event with some mods for more power.

None of these races are really hard as you can always max out the PP. I have been trying new cars straight from the dealership and it's been fun. TTS and FT-86 are fun to drive and can still win pretty easy. It's a good excuse to buy something new and take it straight out and race.

Stock Z4 on R246 is proving to be a good challenge. Coming real close but can't catch the last car. Fun though.

07' Mini tuned to 400 PP even on SH tires is a good match on some of the races.. like Grand Valley. I passed the Mini that was in front on the last corner using H-pattern with clutch on G25 Nixim modded.

I tried this the other day. I think I added ballast to get down to 450PP. It was pretty fun drafting the other cars and blowing past them in the corners.

cool, thx good to know, I have the tropy car version of this I always used in the French Seasonals. I also beat the Supercar seasonal with it too.

Sorry I hijacked the wrong quote.

I use the Renault Clio V6 24V '00. It's way faster than the AI if you want to grind and it's a dream to drive too. :)

Just picked one of those up in the UCD Ill have to give it a shot. Been using the honda CRX.
