The FT-86 G Sports Concept '10

way too fast but I believe that any car that doesn't list its length will work (such as that one)

cool thing about the FT is that you can see a picture of the map on the dash when using the drivers seat view

Just tried a GTR-Proto with no length... didn't work. There must be an internal length number or car list to weed out the longer ones.

The Nissan March 12SR '07 is awesome for grinding on the last track, the Kart one. Getting low 39's each lap, but think some of you out there will be achieving 37's on this one...
What's your best lap time for the Kart track and what car?

I've had low 39's in the premium Mini Cooper (any one). The FT-86 is also good, as is the Elise 111R

ah that stinks!

Well now I'm also using my Honda S800 RSC Race Car '68 I haven't seen that one yet :)

Caterham works, but you have to tune the hp down (88hp) and add ballast (forgot the weight). I've only tried the car on Tokyo Bay and it is still fairly quick (1st on 4th lap) with that much detune.

I tried, it was too slow...
I'm still in love with the Ruf Yellow Bird....SO TORQUEY!!! 480lbs at 2k, lol...
S2k suggestion was nice, I didn't know Opera tuned cars worked...Does Amuse work as well? I want to try the S2k GT1 widebody..

it says competition has 375-395pp.

First, toyota vitz turbo tuned to 450pp. crushed
then, detuned to 395pp. crushed. 2 pitstops to make it interesting
then 375pp. won.
then 360pp. barely won.

Much more fun when its a challenge. overpowering and crushing takes the fun out of it.

Hyundai HCD6 Concept '01, It may look like the remnants of some gnarled, pre-historic fish, but it pwns, good fun to drive too.

If you are looking for a walk in the park, the Spoon S2000 racecar is hard to beat.
You can lap the other cars easily.

This is my second time around starting GT5 thank you GLOD. In my prior game I never saw the Motor Sport Elise. I put some sport softs on it and had a blast. That car is a great mix of grip and drift. I'll bet it loses a lot of it's character if I tune it.

I used the Renault Sport Clio Renault Sport V6 24V ’00 and had a blast with it. I also tried using the Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) RM ’95 and could not get gold with it so far :(

Honda S800 RSC on Tokyo Bay. An absolute joy to drive.

It comes with Racing Hards too :sly:

I just wish it sounded like this (skip to 0:53):

Check out the size of the tailpipes on the video:lol:

Good idea 👍 I picked up one of these ages ago but I don't think I've used it. I expect it's not fast enough on the any of the other courses though?

The Cappuccino (400pp) has proved to make a good race; even with Sports Softs it's close and has taken me several attempts at each race. I did add sports suspension, lowered it down a bit and added some camber to make even tighter.

Classic small car fun - can't catch the faster cars on the straights but you can really throw it around in the bends and get early power on the exit.

My 79 Civic (about 420 pp) was overkill, but is such a good drive I didn't care.

Edit: Struggling to get first in the Cappuccino on R246, won by 1.5 secs in the 79 Civic.

I have done it with a tuned Suzuki Swift '07 and a tuned Nissan March 12SR '07. Dont remember the exact specs of both cars. But was an easy win with both.

If you want a challenge:

G.Valley and Rome with a stock Mini Cooper S '07, comfort medium
C.Ring with a 349PP stock Peugeot 106 Rallye, comfort medium

You need something better for Tokyo races ;)

I'm not really sure since I used different cars for each event. You can finish Tokyo Bay though as long as you don't bump into anything and brake as little as possible.

I had fun with so many cars on these events. The S2000 was downright ridiculous as was the 1985 Pajero Rally car. I had a ton of fun using the SUPERAUTOABACS MRS. It handles better than the Opel Speedster (which I also used).

I tried it with the Tesla was a bit of fun haha the thing hangs on pretty good around the corners but if the back lets go it loses allot of momentum due to not having gears.

Just a quick note on the three Alfa 147's in the game. Both the '02 versions are eligible, but the '06 Ti version (premium) is 25mm too long. Found that one out the hard way.

Stock Ford Focus RS '02 (oil change as it is a standard).

Kart Tokyo Bay would be the only track you won't be first by the end of first lap or so...

Love this car, though in GT i couldn't paint over that very ugly yellow colour:ouch:
Some cars can't be painted, sadly. But it's a good idea to do the seasonal with it.
For that and the video (sound actually -LOL-) i thank you. Greetings stano666 :)

I've just received one for my birthday ticket (gives my age away a bit  ). I already had one I bought from the UCD and being able to paint them would have been good. Oh well, at least I have one tuned to the max and one stock.

It's unbelievable, but you can use a heavily detuned Chaparral 2J with all the weight added. That giant vacuum cleaner on the back makes it short enough.

I used the Ford RS200 for it. For the most part it's too fast for the AI but on the Tokyo Bay Kart track it's a close race (as the car becomes very wayward in the tight corners with all driving aids turned off).
