There are 3 ovals in GT5 (excluding Special Stage Route X) and Daytona seems to be a Nascar favourite. I think Twin Ring Motegi is the best but I seem outnumbereed.
What track do you reckon is best for Nascar.

The current seasonal TT with a NASCAR at Spa on race hard tyres is fantastic... the car and track work really well together.

I should try that soon.

I only put ovals on this because thats what Nascar is really known for.

i say twin ring is best cause there are a few different lines you can take and it involVes braking so really i know daytona and indy are part of the NASCAR scheduale but twin is the closest to the normal everyday NASCAR track

I agree, Nascar on road courses are the best. Too bad we don't have Road America or Bathurst. If you are talking ovals, tri-ovals, Daytona and Talladega.

You are kidding right? It handled like a pig at Spa...a fun pig tho :sly: I do prefer them on a road course, too bad we don't have Sonoma, it has always been a favorite of mine. I find oval racing boring, especially the big ovals where you need to employ the draft to get around.

I love both the oval and road course Twin Ring with NASCAR cars. Also Monza, but when isn't Monza fun?

I ment which oval track in GT5 do you like to do Nascar.

I understood the question. Martinsville is my answer. I, like R1600 has, created a custom track that mimics Martinsville(within GT5s abilities). Mine is also on share for anyone who wants to try it, R1600 I wouldn't mind taking a look at yours if you'd shoot me a Friend Request.

None of the ovals. I perfer Grand Valley and Indy Road Course.

*facepalm*.

I'm saying which is the best REAL OVAL in GT5 for Nascar. Not CUSTOM TRACK OVALS no matter if it is a replica or not.

I read the OP, then I voted within the parameters set.

The thread is to discuss options that don't exist within the poll.

No it is not. I made this poll for a discussion for Which is the best oval for Nascar, Daytona vs. Indianapolis vs. Twin Ring Motegi. Other ovals don't count because they are either not real or Custom track replicas.

Then come up with an intelligent thought to back your standpoint, as to why the track you chose, is better than the others.

I should.
I like the last corner as you brake through there and it is a bit challenging and the first corner is High speed cornering fun.
What is your reason.

Motegi requires more skill than luck.*
My only qualm with Motegi, is that people tend to dive bomb turn 3, with no regard to people on the high side, and a dirty 'bump' is far too often considered 'rubbing'.

For those who lack reading comprehension, I'm not implying Daytona/Indy are just luck. Simply that more luck applies to Daytona than Motegi, due to the ability to draft, be pushed or sometimes just survive a wreck.

100% agreed.

I really enjoy the Twin Ring in arcade mode. Had some good racing. Didn't use Nascars, but I will try it, being that arcade is hit and miss. Don't see Twin Ring used much online, probably because it's add-on. Twin Ring is a 1.5 mile 'speedway'. Daytona and Indy 2.5 mile 'super speedway'. I would love to see a 'short track' oval like Martinsville .5 mile. I think Richmond Speedway would be a good oval for online racing in GranTurismo.
