I've just done a scout round the net looking for ideas to have a go at doing a cover.

I don't know whether anyone has posted this before, but I found some GT and Sony logo's that may be of help.

Click on GT Prologue, and then download the Site Kit.

A picture of a cover of GT 4 Prologue pops up in an ad. I hope it's not that, because that is very poor.

I'm a bit hindered by not having a scanner, but I'll try my best to put something together. You may or may not hear from be again.

Here's my 1st and 2nd attempts, which is why the back cover's are the same. I borrowed some bits from other peoples covers, but just for the basic template elements.

I don't know how to get the GT logo to look shiny, any tips appreciated.

Opinions please.

Here's my 4th try. I didn't like my version 3.

Got a bit obsessed overnight because I couldn't get asleep.

It's addictive stuff.


I like Dorifto's cover, and wouldn't mind that as "the" cover. But I think the Official cover will unfortunately have a lot of license info to spoil the pictures.

Seeing as I'm not getting any comments, good or bad, on my covers,

Did everyone get the cars I used? No 2 would be easiest, as I think as it is very distinctive. I tried to stick to cars I know will probably be in, or in the last one, hope very much it will be.

You should see the proper paint job on No 2. Very multicoloured, but at least from the back, it works.

Redhead, I like your work, but in my opinion, you need to get some nicer quality photos of the screenshots of in game, the cover and the GT logo.

Thanks for that ZEE, I think my first 2 weren't helped by me compressing them so much. It was the 1st time I'd attached anything, so went a bit overboard because I had problems with my 1st try.

I don't have a scanner, so I'm limited to copying other peoples covers, and cutting out the basic box template.

In some of you covers, the transparent GT logo seems shiny, how did you do it?

You didn't say whether you got the cars I used. On some of the posted covers, I haven't been able to tell, but I've got most of them.

I've just got my copy of GT4 Prologue, and the cover is very plain. A big disappointment.

Why, if you can create box-arts like that you might aswell create a new one for your prologue box!!

I've been playing GTP this afternoon, and it's so bad, I'd like to forget all about it.

And I mean really really bad.

hey redhead, like the latest one, but i notice that on each of the ones you made, you are forgetting one important thing on the back of the box: the things that denote what type of game, how many players, mem card, like this: [1 Player] [Memory Card 2406 Bytes]

I hadn't noticed that, so well spotted.

I took the template from other peoples versions, then added my own bits. I'll have to find somwhere to get the information. If I had a scanner it would be easy. But I don't so it isn't.


I've just had a quick look, and other people have made similar mistakes. So I'm in good company.

nice, you need a pic of the driver in the Cobra. that seems like it will be a selling point of GT4.

If anyone wants to see the Pal Prologue cover, let me know. I scanned it in to borrow some elements. It's a pretty boring front cover, but I like the way they put the pictures on the back.

Nice cover Robfire. The back is a bit wordy, but that'll probably be how it will be with so many licenses. Is that a Zonda you've used for the front?

Unfortunately a few of my covers got lost in the changeover from the old server.

I really enjoyed doing them though. I may have another go.
