Good pictures, it's a shame GT4 doesn't model tire smoke realistically. The whole block should be grey after a moment.

Here's my contribution, I never knew you could lock up the front wheels and spin theback ones on their own in GT4, like a proper burnout. I also got this pretty cool looking drift at the Motegi Oval with my temporarily turbo'ed S13 (its usually stock except for suspension).

Got to have som power in the car,and use the buttons for brake and gas,it´s a little touchy feeling with the brake but if your carefull the fronwheel will lock up! 👍

How is that front wheel locking done? I've tried it but without success.

I chipped and turbo'ed the S13 up to around 400BHP in order to make it drift on the oval's long corners, I dunno if my drift suspension settings played a part in it too, but here's how I do it anyway. (you can find my settings in the drift settings depot).
Start off with your left foot down on the brake pedal, then put your right foot all the way down too, then quickly lift off the brake and get straight back on it lightly, and very slowly and cautiously start to build up the braking power to around the half way mark on the little meter thingy. The front wheels should lock up and there's your burnout. The car often moves forward slowly when you do it but the front wheels srtay locked.

ek - basically, just get the brake controller, and set the brakes all the way in the front, and 1 for the back, then hold brake while going, it should burnout (also get lower grip tires)

Well I didn't do what you exactly said, I've got it moving at like 2mph but it does a burn out...Ever since then, I've been abusing it :)

nice pics maybe tomorrow when my server is working better i'll upload some smokey non photoshopped pics
if you turn the front tires it sometimes helps cause i had to do that for the iroc

Usually I just go full throtle and dose the brake to allow the rear wheels to spin. It slows to 5 km/h and burns. But I usually don't drive anyting with less than 400bhp...

To do a standing still burnout:
- get a 400bhp plus car with at most medium sports tyres,
- reverse until it red lines,
- slam the gas (ocasionaly may need to tap the e-brake to relase engine form gear as if it was the clutch)
- when it starts burning fw but still moving back, tap the brakes (about 1/4 or 1/3)
- it will come to a stand still but continue to burn.

Cheers,
Burn

Here's an example. I don't use e-brake (not even on 4 wd cars).
The tight front and loose rear settings allow me to throw the front in, hit the gas and the rear slips making it roll round the corner.

Not a big angle, but smooth, all the way slide. Good drift.

Cheers,
Burn
