Call of Duty 2.

I've finished the game on Veteran difficulty a while back now. It certainly was very hard, especially the later levels, but I done it in the end. 👍

I don't think much of the online modes, so I think I shouldn't keep it anymore. Something like PGR3 I could play over and over again, where as I can't with this. I think I'll sell it now to get some money for the few games coming out in September.

Congrats on finishing the game on veteran. I only rented the game and I knew I would not have enough time to get through it on veteran but at least I got through the first level and the training.
Yes if your finished with the game and you dont play online you should sell it. The sooner you sell a game the more you get. If you hold onto it forever you wont get anything at all.

El Gigante
I have it on PC but I play multiplayer a lot more than single player, I find it boring.
Try it on Veteran its an entirely different game. Well it is on the 360 not sure about the PC version.

Over my mini vacation I beat this game on easy and it was extremely fun. Quite long too considering it was on easy. I never had a chance to go through the entire game on Veteran. That would take forever.

I think it took me about 10 days of playing a few hours at a time, not too bad. Once I unlocked all 1000 acheivements I haven't played it since...been too busy with PGR3, and Oblivion which is taking FOREVER.:scared:

This game is the best online game ive played so far. Its sooooo nuch fun. Single player is fun too. Some veteran levels are a tad easy though

I still haven't got round to completing the game, I just get bored. I've got the PC version by the way but I'm assuming the games are the same.

I just bought this for $25.00 yesterday.
When I rented COD2 almost 5 months ago (thats when I bought my 360) I beat the game on normal and then started to beat it on Veteran. That first level took me around 2 hours to beat and it was an incredible experience. Really felt like I was in a war. By that time my 3 day rental was up and I had to return the game but I never forgot that experience and wanted to do it again.
I want to play COD3 on veteran but there are just so many glitches and problems with that game that I dont think it wil be worth trying to beat on veteran. I will do COD2 on veteran first. And since I own it I can take my time now. :)

Whew after a few controller breaking moments all day Sunday 31st....

Call of Duty 2

Veteran of Rommel's Last Stand: Finished Rommel's Last Stand mission on Veteran difficulty

Veteran of The Tank Squadrons: Finished The Tank Squadrons mission on Veteran difficulty

Veteran of El Alamein: Finished The Battle of El Alamein mission on Veteran difficulty

Veteran of El Alamein: Finished The Battle of El Alamein mission on Veteran difficulty

Veteran of Fortress Stalingrad: Finished Fortress Stalingrad mission on Veteran difficulty

I think I am almost finished with D-Day but I am not sure. I am on some silos labeled A-E. There were seriously a couple parts where I thought I was going to break my controller in half. That level where you have to shoot the air planes at the very end was brutal hard. You have to snipe 3 guys perfectly and jump on the gunner all within 10 seconds before the first air plane bombed you. Brutal hard. The snow level with the 4 wave attacks was very hard too. D-day has also had some very tough moments.

The hardest parts in the game, for me, must have been on the D-Day level, especially at the very beginning, and when you were at a bunker, where you have to sniper several Germans with Mortars. That must have taken at least 30 attempts each. I don't recall the plane moment ever been hard for me, though.

There must have been other moments, but those were the two that I can clearly remember.

The problem with the plane level is that I took too much time after I was told to get to the gunner position. After I took too long it saved. That left me only 10 seconds to snipe 3 guys all at complete different positions. One was in front of me, one to the left, and one behind me. Then I still had to get on the gun in time to take the plane out that was coming in. I almost redid the entire level but I just kept trying over and over again and finally got lucky. Once I got on the gun I took all the planes out on my first try. But that 10 seconds before the gun sucked bad!
I am currently on the D-day level at the A-E silos. I just started to enter A and decided to take a break for the night on sunday. I havent had to snipe any mortars yet but it sounds like it will not be a good time when I get there.

I absolutely love this game but I almost snapped it in half yesterday while playing on Veteran. I had over 5 real life hours into the D-day level. Well I got through everything with much patience and a lot of time consuming strategy. Actually having a lot of fun while doing it. I even got through all the A-E buildings. Then I get to the part where I have to snipe from the top of silo. I had to snipe the guys loading the mortars. I got through at least 2 waves of enemies and I get killed. No big deal right??? Well the game autosaved 1 second before I died. Yeah every time I load the save I die instantly which means I have to restart the entire level again. I was furious!! I instantly took the game out, threw it across the room, then traded it in. :guilty: :ouch: :ouch: :ouch: :grumpy:
Its a shame too because I really loved that game. :grumpy:

This may have already been answered somewhere, but is this as short/easy as COD 3?? Which i thought was the most pathetic excuse for a finished game (in terms of length) ever. I loved it, but it was so short.
My main question is, would i be able to complete this in a 2 night rental??

It's definitely longer and harder than CoD3, but you'll still beat it in a 2 night rental if you play on the lower difficulties.

That sounds like hell. Thankfully, I did it on Hardened or else i would've threw my controller across the room.
