O.K i finally gave up, i had my team set to picture in picture mode to watch tv in in 15 mins i couldnt connect to one game! Nothing worked.

Anybody having similiar problems or is it just me?

I was planning on trying to get this tommorow but my PS3 has gone and broke on me again after I fixed it just over a week ago. I think it's a different problem so I may have a look at it now. Shame really as I've been waiting for this game for ages! I really want to play it.

According to Robert Bowling's twitter page it sounds like pirates only need worry about having their stats reset:

Was just about to say that :D. Aaaanyway, if all goes well I will have my copy in just under 2 hours but wont be able to play it for another 10-12.
 
About nine hours to get mine...I can just see the zombie version of me tomorrow at work...

I just got an email that mine was shipped out today, and I should have it tomorrow. I'm still playing Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack In Time, but will stop to play this. I'm excited, 'cause I like this first game and understand this one is better? Is that the general consensus?

I was leaning toward picking the game up tomorrow, but then I'd be losing one whole night(or morning lol) of playing time. I will attempt my first midnight launch, but I do give up pretty easy, so we'll see. :D

If I do get it, I have Tuesday off, and I asked for Wednesday off, so don't you guys worry about me. :p

My plan is to get my feet wet on one of the alternate PSN accounts, then get on Xbox Live. Stats-padding my friends, stats padding!

I rent all my games, first. If I like them, I buy them. This game will be no different.

In fact, the last game I bought with renting was MGS4, and that was a year and a half ago.
 
Just got back from GameStop(yes, I know) and I'll be heading back soon in about an hour at 11:20PM. What they're going to do is line us up by number and then at 12:00PM we go in, by three I think, and get our copies. There was easily about 100 people there, a lot for a small town(I was honestly expecting around 15). I'm number 28. :D
 
God damn, the download ran out today and now it wants to download an update at 7Kb/s. Gonna take me ages :(.
 
Did you guys see the tactical nuke deployment in Multiplayer? You get it with a 25 killstreak and it ends the match. :D
 
Ok now I am not so annoyed about the download thing. It is currently on 57% 30 mins later. I picked it up no sweat, the cover and art book look sweet. Alot of you seem to be getting the game, I cant wait to jump in and play but apparently downloading stuff really isnt good even with an 80GB limit. I cant believe our download snapped on the 10th of November, I date I have waited for for MONTHS. Aaanyway, thread title is changed, I will do some single player when it is finished and see how I go.

I stood in line for just over an hour, got my number, then left. Total of about hour and an half, so not bad. Now, I just need to get back to the mall just before midnight, then good to go. I got another story. Amongst my CoD buddies, it is pretty famous how sore I was about the World at War Collectors' Edition. The worst part about that worthless pack was the non-functional, imitation canteen. When my then-partner at work try to open the thing, the whole neck came off. :lol:

So I emailed all my CoD buddies that I purchased the MW2 super extreme whatever edition for $89,500. It comes with a non-functional tin H2 Hummer, but the doors don't open. :p

Edit: Oops, it's just about time. I'm off to pick up the game!
 
My download speed is obviously not working capped. Waits for other players ofr 5 mins before being booted.

No but seriously, I think the tactical nuke is pretty stupid even though, if previous CODs are a good basis, I would benefit from them more then most as I've had multiple 25+ streaks particularly on 4. I think all these streak rewards are going to make games more unbalanced, if it's not a very close match it seems like it will be a complete slaughter for one team because the better side will get so many bonuses.
 
Awww man!! I just got to work, my pre order copy is ready to be picked up too :( I have to wait 4 and a half hours till lunch to pick it up - then another 4 till im home :(

I've also wondered about the balance in team deathmatches, with the new perks and all..... I think you've pretty much got to play it, get the feel of it to find out exactly.

On the 25 kill streak, yeah, clearly we haven't played together enough. :D I have few players on my friends list who's achieved it, and more. But I've yet to witness it. I'm pretty sure. :p

Don't matter. I play much more on Xbox Live than on PSN, but I think we discuss Xbox Live as much as PSN in these threads.

Our PS3 cod4 thread was very big and 360 users came over to it so now this thread has all users in it. It doesnt matter, same stuff different console. We dont really have a good enough section for these threads anyway.


So far, my connection has failed the new joining thing. It says 7/25 good servers found, 25% complete. It then joins 1 out of 7 and finds it is a bad connection. I think it is just cause of my download though. I didnt bother playing online after a few disconnects so I am now up to the airport mission on SP. I wont play it for another 30 mins (break). Let me say that the first two actual missions are amazing, especially cliff hanger.
