Pre ordered the game at Block Buster.
Same here, got hoodwinked into it after having a healthy fine to pay on some late dvd's. I'll probably pass on the midnight opening opportunity and pick it up on my way back from work on Tuesday.
Will anyone here who is planning on getting MW2 in the near future still be playing MW?
The launch trailer is here but I havent seen it yet:

EDIT: I have watched it now, the video is cool, the song basically ruins it but it is well in time with the video.
Just had an e-mail from PLAY.com to say they are not using Royal Mail to send my copy, rather a courier, which means I should be safe from the strike action.
Fingers crossed for a quick dispatch and arrival.

First post of the thread.Wait, there's Modern Warfare 2...in space? Wut?
Also they re-added Call of Duty back to the title? When did that happen?
What?More related: I'm surprised more people don't have a problem with the map packs issue for the entirely opposite reason.
They have announced DLC months before the game's release date, meaning almost certainly that the DLC in question has already been done for a long while now. Yet Activision being Activision, they probably figured "why include that stuff on the disc when you can charge more for it later?"
Since Call of Duty 4, it's been kind of love/hate for me with them. CoD4 has become my favorite game of all-time. I've said all along that campaign mode alone warrants full price. With the online, it's worth at the very least couple hundred bucks, probably more. But there has been garbage with the franchise, too. "Game of the Year" edition, and Collector's Edition World at War. Total ripoff. They have announced DLC months before the game's release date, meaning almost certainly that the DLC in question has already been done for a long while now. Nevermind the general insanity I feel people who buy the things suffer from anyways, because being a PC gamer first and foremost has spoiled me towards developers/publishers actually giving a damn about the gamer.
Scaff is a happy bunny, my copy just got sent.
I'm crossing my fingers for a delivery tomorrow (that would be great), but Monday/Tuesday would still do me just fine.

Got my Uk retail copy this afternoon, and rushed through the campaign in one sitting. Really awesome - as soon as I recover, I'll play the online mode right away ( not too much though since I heard the stats will be reset on Tuesday or Monday midnight ).
Makes me want to leave this thread until Tuesday, honestly. I am happy for him but getting it earlier is incredibly unfair, especially considering I preordered way before 3/4's of the people considered it. Can you try not to spoil anything good, just try to keep it at a spoiler level of what has been happening lately.
God damn I am jealous.
Max, you know you are my boy, but I must disagree with you there, completely!Although I really hate the fact that the online stats will be reseted on Tuesday, at least that is fair I guess and therefor I can live with it.
Max, you know you are my boy, but I must disagree with you there, completely! You can learn the map, and everything else about the multiplayer mode at the expense of this reset.
Your stats should look really nice, once the true season starts.I'm really jealous, but I'm glad you are enjoying it!
Yeah you can go around the maps on split screen or whatever and own online.

Could you make the picture a little bigger please? Thanks.
