I just put the nuke on my streaks after getting 1000 with the Predator. I doubt I'll ever get one because all my streaks over 25 I've spent hiding using my Pred/Harrier/Chopper Gunner.

I know I can, but it will take many tries. With my skills, everything has to go right.

I'll need solid connection(four bars, or very close to it), right opponent(they must suck, obviously :p), right map(will not happen on scrapyard), etc. Oh, and I need to be awake. I've been playing very tired, lately.

As soon as I'm out of my slump, I'm gonna equip the nuke again. Try, try, try again!

Sorry for the double post, but this one, I thought it might never happen.

I almost blew it, because at 23-0, guys on my team started to get excited for me for some reason. I've gone 23-0 many times before, I don't think anybody actually started getting excited for me before this(all of them strangers).

I sort of started feeling the pressure after they started going:

-oh crap, look at this guy, 23-0!
-I think he's going for nuke!
-you should do it, if you have it equipped.
-24! oh 🤬 (was he even playing the game, or just watching the stats? lol)

They pretty much started partying & started congratulating me when I activated the nuke. What a nice bunch of kids. :cheers:

I know Forza's been gunning for it, too. I accomplished my mission. If you need my help, let me know. What really sealed the deal for me was the last minute UAV help from the team.

I already got mine, I'd be more than happy to tag along, swap my kill streaks to assist you. I'm thinking UAV, Counter-UAV, I don't know whatelse, but you get the idea. :D

Edit: Bunch of people left before the end. Final score for me was 28-1. Sort of disappointed that I didn't get any stinkin' titles! :crazy:
 
Awesome man! Thanks for the offer, I'll see where I get on my own but I may take you up on that sometime. I made it to 23 on Strike last night but we hit 75 kills seconds after I came out of my CG. I probably could have had it, but the other team started hiding in the buildings and I had to get the same 1 or 2 guys who kept spawning outside. Started that game 0-2 thanks to a M-L-C sped who would sit in doorways and around corners waiting for people to run past.

Similar thing started happening to me at 23 last night, too. And I told you about my 23 kill streak trend. :lol:

At 23-0, I think everybody died or something? I lost track of everybody on the other team. I knew that there was one guy in front, one guy in the back. I had no idea where the rest where, which is very dangerous. When you lose track, that's when you get shot in the back.

I got stuck in that one long house in center of Rundown, couldn't go anywhere, and that's when that last minute UAV came and was able to pick up the last two kills in a flash.

Let me help you if I'm on when you are going for the nuke. We are pretty good MW2 players, but we are no Drag or Rabia or Azure, man. Players at our level has to have lots of things going our way to be able to reach the 25 streak with the nuke equipped. :D
 
SPAS-12. In FFA it sucks big but in TDM oh my god wow.

I was going >20 in kills and <10 in deaths with the SPAS only (no other gun) in normal TDM.
My class was MP5, SPAS, Marathon Pro, Cold-Blooded Pro and Ninja Pro.

Silencer sucks on it though, it has almost no range but without, ohhh mannn.

I think it's my favorite shotgun, moving the Striker into 2nd place. I wish I could carry it as my primary so I wouldn't have to switch to it all the time :lol:
 
Going for a Nuke is starting to piss me off. I've hit 23 numerous times only to have the game end. I hit what I thought was 24 and went balls out trying to get 25, which ended up being 24. I hit 23 on Afgan earlier with the score below 6000, but got stuck with my sniper class and the other team no where near my position and I didn't want to rush it and get killed. I would have easily hit 25 but my CG stayed on one side of the cave area while the other team was on the other, and it took forever to move around. I needed another 5 maybe 10 seconds.

I feel ya man, trying the same, got a little competition with a friend of mine, hes up at 8 nukes and im at 1.

Getting 24 kills and game ends, getting 24 kills and dead.... its a death circle :P

One useful tip if your sole aim is to get a nuke is to avoid normal TDMs (Ground War TDM isn't so bad but not ideal) as you have to take much more risks to get it due to the shortish games. Domination is usually best as it's easy to spawn trap (and know where they're spawning) plus the game lasts longer and isn't made shorter by your own success in getting towards the nuke.
 
It's not my sole goal, I try to get the Immortal Accolade and be high on the scoreboard. Plus trying to hit 1000 kills with Harrier and C Gunner. Less than 150 with the chopper and about 200 with Harrier. I just put the Nuke on because I hit 1000 with the Pred and I can usually hit 7 kills, like 65-70% of the time. I can't stand Ground War, it lags like no other even on a great connection and I go for objectives in objective based games, I just don't think I could consciously play Domination or anything as a TDM. I really wish you could maneuver the gunship on your own, even in a limited capacity. Too many times you get stuck behind buildings and it just sits there.
 
The worst is using an AC130 on Rundown. The flight path and spawn system mean you spend 70% of your time waiting to get the enemy in your sights.
 
I had a massive fail this morning. The enemy got an AC130 from a care package so I pulled out my stingers, fire both and chucked my semtex at my feet. Next thing I see is +400 for taking out the damn thing while I'm waiting to blow up. :dunce:
 
What's worse is when someone else fires the last shot and shoots it down before you can.

Anyone want to help me beat a couple Spec Ops missions on Veteran? Namely the two Bravo missions that require 2 players. (Overwatch and Big Brother) Looking to get that platinum trophy and all I have left to complete are the Spec Ops missions. Send a PM or something. :dopey:
 
I had my best game yesterday. 30-0-4 on Quarry using an RPD/Glock and being followed by a 9-year old who had Bluetooth. It was insane.
 
yesterday i took out a harrier and a pavelow with a single stinger shot,
didn't even know that was possible, the rest of the night i sucked tho
 
failed on getting a nuke the past week so i swapped my streaks to UAV CP PRED and im just having fun with the intervention quick scoping people.

So ya, had epic fails trying to quick or no scope people , but one game i was in , at wasteland. i was at that place where the helicopter is parked and just randomly, seriously randomly fired a no scope where the houses are and i get a wall bang and game winning kill.

Like 4-5 people had headsets and they were like screeming like it was dooms day, i LOL'D

I haven't been playing the game that much. My internet makes it nearly unplayable for me. Don't get me wrong, I can still get 1.5 to 2 k/d, 3-ish if things start going my way. But I'm playing TDMs, and I get infuriated when I'm getting killed by bunch of noobs due to my first 2, 3 shots not even registering half the time.

After the nuke, I started experimenting with different setups a bit, but they have all failed, pretty much. Especially the G18. Getting the silencer for it actually dropped my overall k/d. :lol: I have the G17 pistol in real life, and I just ordered a extended mag for it, so it seemed like a fun thing to try.... :crazy:

I think I'm gonna just shoot for reaching 2.60 in k/d before the population migrates to Black Ops. Make that my last goal for the MW2.

I've been following a trend of good night bad night for a while now, which has been tampering with my KDR floating around between 3.09 and 3.11 depending which I'm on. I have already achieved all I want to and more from the game so I purely play with friends for fun now, whether I'll move to Black Ops at all I don't know with my current financial state.

On another note, in a game of Rundown recently I called in 4 predator missiles literally one after another in TDM which must have been so damn annoying for the other team :lol:. I generally stack air support when I'm running 3-4-5 and then call a load in at once (or critical moment like a flag defence).
 
I just bought COD4. :dopey: With it due to arrive within a week (it's shipping from the UK) and GT5 + Black Ops just around the corner my copy of MW2 is never going to get played again... :lol:

I got the Stimulus pack the day it came out but never bothered with the Resurgence pack. I think it's time to pick it up.

It still has to be a good day to get a Nuke. Sometimes they just fall into your lap (2 or 3 5+ kills with the big gun on the AC130, etc) other times everything just goes wrong and you have to get 8 or so kills manually after the GC or AC130. And it is easier in GW than TDM.

That aside, congrats on getting one, its about time :p

I thought about playing this tonight but I decided to play World at War instead. That game is still a lot of fun.
 
Anyone else noticing cheaters in some games? I had a couple games where a player had a Chopper Gunner that could shoot through every object and kill you in 1 hit. Also had another game where a player had a knife with extremely long range. Doesn't seem very widespread but still annoying to see that cheats are still available for this game. I guess Infinity Ward is on top of things as usual.
 
Knives always have extremely long range. This is modern warfare 2.
 
I knew someone was gonna say that. :lol: This was like Commando x 20. I was about 30 feet away and still got knifed. Commando is bad but it isn't that bad.

30 foot sounds about right. He probably came around a corner down some stairs and out a doorway right? Happens all the time.
 
Hopefully the knife thing will be addressed in any upcoming Call of Duty, or any FPS for that matter. It was bad in CoD4, too. TA, how is it in World at War? I don't remember about the knife, or I just didn't play that much. I think it had bayonet. :lol:
