I just had an enemy running towards me while I was waiting for my care package and I laughed so much when it landed on him, pure fluke. I never thought i'd get "Heads up".

Somehow tonight, I took out a Pave Low with...Semtex. How the heck I did it I have no idea. It was just a random throw on Scrapyard where I was hoping to find an enemy, and up pops the Destroyed Pave Low thing and I get 400 points or whatever. Absolutely bizarre.

Nice work! I did the same thing... was a random 'hail marry' in Scrapyard. Pretty funny!

I don't really spend my time with this game anymore...

But last night I did join a game where I ran around the first corner and had a tube wizz by my head. I still had a small barrier by my feet, so I went prone, and got up with my RPG and fired off in the general direction of where it came from and got a surprise triple kill :sly:. And that's why I carry those; for extreme noob situations only.

I had the strangest thing happen earlier. I shot a guy and as soon as he dropped the toss back grenade icon pops up. I run away thinking he had the magic poop out a grenade perk on only to get shot in the back as I'm running away. Turns out a guy had run up behind me with a noob tube and fired it at the ground. I never knew you could toss those back!

That's odd. Nobtubes won't explode at point blank.

Just got a quad kill with a Predator missile and did it ever feel good. Between that and my Harrier, I managed to turn a 12 kill deficit into a one kill win for my team. My emergency airdrop may have helped be a distraction to the other team also.

The Emergency Faildrop is such a risky streak reward, it would be fine if people could leave the damn thing alone rather then your whole team swarm it to try steal something. I like to run it when in a party to share the goodness, even prepared to give team-mates who otherwise wouldn't get things like AC130s, but running it in a random game is just horrid as nobody is selfless enough to cover it. I make a habit of covering people who have inbound packages for this reason, even if they don't know it I like to make sure the enemy doesn't fluke a Chogu out of one.

When I do use the Emergency Airdrop with randoms, I tend to share everything other than the Chopper Gunner and AC-130. I also like to use the Airdrop as bait against the other team and cover the packages while my team goes for them.

Using packages as bait is great I agree, especially if it's something useless (ammo anyone?), it's usually at least 1 free kill with some patience. Generally though I just don't use them on random teams because I have the ability to get high rewards consistently anyway, I even recently set up a danger close class which I'd kill myself to change to and then call in my AC130/Chogu. Doing so using one man army (on my normal ACR RDS Stopping Power class) to swap to the danger close class, which didn't have a pro pipe may I add, lead me to another nuke last night after a long time not running it on my set up.

Danger Close Pro AC130 is just plain evil, and on a related note I rarely ever run the Chogu as I just find the AC130 much more entertaining then holding the trigger and having aim assist do the work for me.

I've seen so many people fail at using emergency airdrop, mostly on Underpass. I've played at least 5 games where all the crates fall onto the road above.

Don't you just love when you see a random guy call in a package and it turns out to be an AC130/Chogu/PaveLow that they can't get to .

I think the last one I saw that failed had AC-130, PaveLow, Pred and Ammo. At least the enemy couldn't get to it.

Got my 2nd nuke last night after I went into my 7th Prestige on my main account at level 21. Either the skill level on PSN is going down or this Tritton Pro headset is the business :) On Live, people run around with models and crap right? It's funny to kill those people with one famas burst then they start with the hate mail.

Sweet games tonight with the group. I actually had fun playing SnD for a change

I finally did it, I got a Nuke. Got it in a game on Underpass with a bunch of idiots on the other team. Got to 7 by roaming around, got a few with the Harrier and some with my gun, was at at least 15 or 16 before I called in my Chopper Gunner and that got me to 25. I held off killing more once I hit 25 because the score was close to the end, and I called in the Nuke once my CG left and the score was 7300. I'm also about 15-18 kills away from 1000 with the CG.

Nice. A close one!👍 I never used a Chopper Gunner or AC130 going for the nuke, because I don't like the vulnerability while operating them. On top of that, I suck at them. :D I took this guys care packages, just last night. He calls it in, get killed, so I take down his killer, took his CG + Predator. Of course, the guy who called it in comes back all mad at me, like it was my fault. Anyway, I got grand total of 1 kill with the CG!

On somewhat on-topic subject, I decided against the Black Ops again. Or any FPS. I get too riled up playing these things.

we'll think about you while we're all having a great time playing it. I doubt anyone will be on this POS game after it comes out.

Since I plan on taking a break on FPS, it really doesn't matter to me if there wasn't one person left on MW2. Treyarch didn't impress me with their World at War, so it is a perfect time for me to take a long break from FPS.

I will say this though, when WaW came out, many migrated back to Call of Duty 4. I don't see that happening this time around. I hope you guys do enjoy it. :D:tup:

I don't mind being vulnerable when there's a good hiding spot. I was trying to get behind the smashed up car at the top of the long stairs on Underpass, so I'd wait in the bushes and move little bits at a time. Killed like 5 people because they kept coming to find me after I killed them.

They come in pairs, it seems.

I got my first Nuke in a HCTDM at Terminal. Rocked up to 11, got 8 more with the Chopper Gunner and called it in at 7200 with 2' left. :D

I don't think I've actually played HCTDM on MW2 at all, I was put off by the amount of players who used to camp on COD4 so much that I've never been back. Not so much the guys who actually hold down key positions, but the ones who randomly sit in corners and just wait forever.

Compared to CoD4 there's relatively few of them. There's always the odd guy who'll sit in a darkened room with a silenced LMG, but generally there's snipers, run & gunners, shielders, lunatics with knives, UMP-whores and tubers to get annoyed by.

I've always found SC versions of any game to be considerably more frustrating than HC versions, simply because it can be so hard to hit people anyway that requiring more than two shots from anything is ridiculous - though knives remain one-hit kills, tilting the already ridiculous pro-knife balance even further in their favour. I get so hacked off by people running right through hails of bullets to knife me in HCTDM as it is - I can't even begin to imagine how frustrating it is in SC.

Perhaps it's me, but I don't have trouble hitting anyone at any range with most guns due to the relatively low recoil of weapons in COD. I will have to try get the EU GTP crew to try HC and see how we get on seeing as we more often then not win normal TDM games by considerable margins. It'll be nice to get something fresh out of the game for me as well, similarly I miss playing objective games (except SnD which I hate with a burning passion thanks to tubers and such) as it just brings another element into the tactics rather then just killing people.

Ha! I can only hope. I think I'll only get another one out of dumb luck again. On a positive note, I got 1000 Chopper Gunner kills. Hit 999 in a match and it gets shot down, took forever to get another one. Combination of maps I just don't do stellar on plus idiots for teammates and cheapo people on the other team kept me from even getting 5 kills in a row.

Search & Destroy does seem very tubey. HQ and Domination too - I imagine far worse in SC where you can't kill teammates by acing them with tubes.

Aside from VEXD, I have the highest accuracy of anyone on my PSN friends list (I think Azuremen is the same, give-or-take) - primarily because I largely snipe. I have very little trouble hitting a static target in a very short time and moving targets are not much more tricky. Yet the second I play someone from "the colonies" (distance breeds lag) or BeNeLux (their connections are 1ms ping, mine is 55ms) I even miss static targets. In softcore where nothing but a headshot is a 1-hit kill, I'd suck like a Dyson in a black hole.

Whats your accuracy Famine?

Mine was always around 25-26% up until the last month I played where I couldn't give a damn anymore, it went down to 22 or 23%...

I pride myself on being a darn effective sniper in "softcore" TDM. I don't use cheater perks either, Scavenger-Cold Blooded-Ninja. I admit there are times I need 2 or 3 shots...but most of my kills are OHK. My broken DS3 is letting me down now though, sometimes the stupid L3 doesn't register. Gotta break down and buy a new one I guess.

I tend to get Longshot kills with SMG's, mainly with the P90, which is my most frequently used weapon at the moment. I imagine the opposing players are surprised to see that I killed the from halfway across the map with a close range weapon.

I remember discussing with you how my accuracy went down as my KDR went up, alot of it is in the weapon and play style. For example SMG rush tactics get low accuracy whereas a long serving sniper should of course have a much better % even though neither may be worse at doing their job.

Anywhere from 17-8% upwards shows someone doesn't have an bad shot overall.
