Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Hey A6 we finally upgraded our internet at my house. No more of that bullcrap I was dealing with before. I haven't played online yet but I'm super excited. I only had 1.5 down and .3 up before. This is what I'm at now.

Now you just have to get black ops so we can play together again! :)
 
Yeah, I have yet to party with anyone in Black Ops . . .

You still have Verizon though. How did you do it? Is it that Turbo DSL upgrade? They have it for $10 more around my area, but not where I live. :(

I'm not getting Black Ops, I haven't been playing MW2 either, but I've been getting kicks playing the CoD4. Again. :p I've said that I love the CoD4 maps, but it's the simplicity I'm loving in CoD4.

P.S. I pointed out my *cough* enthusiasm management issue for going GT5 over Black Ops before, but GT5's challenges & license tests been very trying on my patience. Now I play CoD4 to relax. :lol:

Everybody from [GTP] were playing Black Ops, just until GT5 came out. Now everybody and their mother's playing Gran Turismo, and me between Netflix/GT5/CoD4. You should befriend my coworker Ruination_666. He's played with us bunch of times before, and he still bugs me to get Black Ops!
 
I'm still having issues with the internet cutting out but when its working its on like donkey kong. I had an amazing night on B/O last night. We should play gt5 sometime maybe?

Yeah, only problem is, since there isn't a thread like this coordinate game nights, what do we do? It's off topic, so I'll PM you guys sometime. ;)

Basically everyone that I see online from GTP is playing Gran Turismo 5. Instead of buying GT5 myself, I just asked for the game for Christmas and should have my copy on December 25. Having not touched GT4 or my steering wheels in ages, GT5 is going to be very rough for a week or two while I get back up to speed.

What I did forget to mention though is I did pick CoD4 up again a week or two ago; I started playing the campaign, but have yet to get into the multiplayer. At some point, I would like to play some multiplayer on CoD4.

We should still organize something though. I randomly hooked up with Omnis & Giancarlo on GT5, but we just sort of were goofing off. Only multiplayer I've ever played were Call of Duty's, so I didn't know what to do, it just felt awkward like the first time(unless you were drunk).

Maybe when Brett gets his copy of GT5, we can organize on that message board thing in my profile, like we did for that Modern Warfare 2 Greatest Winning Streak Night That Continued For Some The Next Day Or Two Event. But yeah, we should set up what kind of cars, tracks, number of laps, etc. Currently, when I'm on GT5, I'm still trying to go through my license tests.

Well, at least we can all hook up on GT5. Anytime you want to play CoD4, let me know. I started over on my RodStrickland(JPN Account), I might actually try to go for the gold cross(Level 10 Prestige), so..... I'm a quitter though!

You sold the MW2, right? Did you get the Black Ops? If you have, I know Breakpoint's playing it. Maybe even Random(1self) by now?
 
I don't do races. I just host open track days with random cars and no restrictions. Usually I have another friend in there and we'll drive similar cars but I'll rarely start an actual race.
 
Damn, wish I still had my PS3, would love to play again like in COD4, where we had loads of GTP members playing together for hours on a daily basis. Great memories of those days. 👍

I'm not 100% sure yet but we had the same guy come out twice today and it seems like its working for now... We'll see. What a major PITA this has been. I've only been able to play B.0 once in the last couple of weeks.

If anybody reading this still have Call of Duty 4, you need to revive the thread. I think I have the last post there, I don't want to double post. :D

I've been thinking about playing MW2, too, but I've been away for about a month now, and I don't want to mess up my CoD4 'game' either. ;)

What are you talking about!? I'm afraid to play Modern Warfare 2 right now, because I don't think I can play that, and CoD4 at the same time. I can't even imagine trying to learn Black Ops while I'm playing something else. Old people don't learn very good.... :lol:

I've been slacking on GT5. Can't believe you achieved that much already! 👍 I might follow my Call of Duty throwback trend and ditch GT5, play some GT3. I know you hated it, but it sure was one of my favorites. :D:tup: j/k
 
Black ops was the best game released in the Call of Duty series. I am replaying it as I like the storyline of the game. Also, the sound quality was amazing other than that graphics, game in controls, fighting scenes, explosions everything in the game was amazing. I like Modern Warfare more than Modern Warfare II.

Oh my god... What's happened to MW2!? My clan finally saw the error of their ways, and decided to switch back to playing MW2 (after moving onto Black Ops), two days later we are all back on Black Ops, and glad to be!

I'm talking about the hacking. Holy crap it's rife! We were getting dropped into hacked matches, on average, every four or five games. It got to the point where we were questioning every kill, we just couldn't be sure. Safe to say, we left the game, unfortunately for good, or until they patch the crap!

I never thought I'd say this, but... For now, the standard is Black Ops (with all it's flaws), because MW2 is a complete joke!
 
MW2 is bad right about now. Like you said you question every kill.

But I refuse to play the shambles that BO is. All I would ever go back to play on that would be Combat Training. And even then I'd still prefer the Campaign and spec Ops from MW2. They are brilliant fun.
 
BO servers or connections for anyone that I know of in Northern Ireland is terrible.

I can get 1-2 games max with a party before some server error rears it head and we all end up out of the party or some play and some dont. The Campaign mode is one of the most disappointing climax finales I hope to ever play. When I found out it was over I was raging that I sent that time wasting it for pretty much nothing.

The secondary weapons are as good as the server. In MW2, the Machine Pistols or shotguns can keep you going anothr 2-3 kills, but with pistols that must do 5 damage a bullet and others there is no point even bothering to swap.

As soon as the next MW game comes out, MW2 will see less people but my god will it be a fantastic game.
 
Pistols are pretty good in bo. I use the CZ75 with extended mags. This way it comes with an 18 round clip and you can take out 2-3 guys before reloading.

Honestly, I wish they'd sell a stripped down "Online features only" game at $40-$50. I don't want to pay for the development of a mode I never play. I'm sure I'm not the only one either.

I use to be able to kill 3 people with a Silenced USP. Secondary weapons are a joke in BO..
 
I think I have maybe 3 kills with the USP all time... I could never use pistols in MW2. I'm not saying I love the secondaries in bo, but its good that they are only pistols for the most part. It keeps things even with a strong focus on the primary like it should be.
 
Oh and dont get me started on how crap the shotguns are in Black Ops.

My friend is a big Shotgun geek and he nearly punch his near football sized hand through the screen when he could not kill with the spud guns...
 
They aren't that bad. The range has to be nerfed somewhat or everyone would run around with them. Why use an SMG that takes 4 shots to kill when you could kill in one shot at the same range? That said I don't think its been nerfed that much as most buckshot won't travel that far and maintain a tight group at the same time. The only way you're going to kill a large target like a person at longer range in one shot would be with a slug and they don't have slugs in bo.

Yeah, but 4 or 5 shots from a Handgun should kill. And they don't in BO. It just really threw my play off because I was a huge handgun user, on almost every class I used. Thousands of kills on the USP alone, and extensive use with all the others as well.

I do agree the machine pistols were over the top though. The PP2000 is effectively an SMG. But I just wish Handguns weren't so worthless compared to how they were in MW2.
