Well i'm taking back what I said about 69 stars being impossible for me in spec ops (not that i have them yet) as i have completed what i think to be the most challenging two missions. The last two in the Echo section, High Explosive (10 juggernauts only using explosives and a knife) and the other one with 15 juggernauts on the oil rig !!

So far im at 48 / 69 stars I have completed 15 on veteran level.

I have also found 34 / 45 intel on campaign - im actually thinking about using a guide to find the rest as im totally lost to where they could be !! Think my Campaign is currently at 96% complete - just the last of the intel will get me 100%

Nice work in getting 15 spec-ops missions done on veteran.

With the 45 intel, i found them without guides, mostly found by chance.

My spec-ops is at 68% & my campaign is at 100%

So if anybody wants to team up for spec-ops, just ask

Nukes are awesome, I just got two tonight in domination. One in Highrise and one in Overpass. (Whatever it's called, the map with the rain.) You need a Harrier Strike (7 Kills), that gets you to the Chopper Gunner (11 Kills) and then with the helicopter you get the nuke easily, if someone doesn't bring down your heli.

Sorry I had to speak about it I was so happy.

Edit: You guys wouldn't happen to know how to get that Militia red hand print emblem, do you? Last night, I was up all night trying to acheive it for my PSN account.

I am pretty sure I have that icon. I have no idea how I got it though.

I just finished SP. What a final mission, I really enjoyed it.

The museum is hilarious. I saw the bell popped up a message saying "do NOT press square".... so of course I pressed square. Holy cow that was awesome... and painful!

Yeah I loved that final mission and yes I did the same thing you did with the bell and got epicly owned.

I've played thousands of games, I have yet to be nuked. Because I carry a stinger, and I still need to shoot down 14 more helicopters to finish up the stinger challenges.

I've had it with trying to play online. I always get one bar without fail, even with NAT 2, 6Mbps download and 200k upload as displayed by the PS3 and MW2 reporting open NAT in the lobby - just now in a TDM I was seeing at least two full seconds of lag between what I was seeing on my TV, and what was actually happening on the server (via killcam). Until Infinity Ward fixes the matchmaking to stop Aussies/Kiwis/Poms getting lumped with Americans (who ALWAYS end up hosting) you'll need one hell of an argument to see me online in MW2 for a while...

So much for the matchmaker putting players in "the best lobby based on their connection"...

Well have you played on an Aus/ Kiwi server at all? If you have and you still got 1 bar it is YOUR connection if you got 3 yours and the servers connections are fine. The problem with the latter is that it never happens. I can sit there countless times and wonder why the hell I verse Americans when I am not supposed to be. 1/8 games found, finding 100 ping, err, where the 🤬 is the 100 ping? Try 1000 and you might be getting close. It fails at finding servers anywhere within half a world of me. I am still a good player but having a green connection all the time would be wonderful.

How do you take down the AC-130s? Do you need to fire multiple javelins at once or something?

Just one should do it. I think the trick is controlling the missile yourself after you launch it. If you just lock on and launch it and expect the missile to hit it, the AC130 will always avoid it.

But I like the stinger best, although you can't take down an AC130 down with one. Two shots are all what you get, and the AC130 has enough flares to avoid both of them.
I'm really going to miss the stinger, once I complete my last challenge for it. It's so satisfying to take away somebody's special reward. They're all like, "ALRIGHT! I got a Predator! Time to score some... (ka-blooie!)... what the hell happened to my Predator!?" It's fun pissing on their parade.

I just played the museum level thing, and it was AWESOME

I kind of wish you could unlock things during it, but it's still fun either way.

Yeah, the museum thing is pretty cool, its fun trying to kill some of the weird ones like the scuba in the tank.

@Solid Lifters: Last night I was looking at you on the leaderboards, your scores are nothing flash as you know but one thing that I saw is a reminder of my starting of CoD4. Horrible accuracy, my accuracy used to be 7% when I played CoD4 and it took me months of hard work to get it up to whatever it is now. Your accuracy is 9% and I will come back to that. My K.D used to be 0.50 on CoD4 and now it is something like 0.98 and it used to be very slowly rising. What I am getting at is that my scores used to be very similar to yours and they slowly rose. So really, apart from the lag (which is so much easier on this game) you should, over time, get better. When I started this game my K.D was 1.48 and my Accuracy 18.9% but that came from CoD4 experience. Really, you should get your scores up to my CoD4 ones eventually and then on MW3 or whatever the next game is you should start off really good . Hang in there, I did and it payed off.

This is one of the few things keeping me from jumping on this. I am very much a fan of dedicated servers that you can enter and leave, from my PC history.

As for ping, what it supposedly means is the time it takes for a packet of data to travel to the server and return to you.

I just finished SP. What a final mission, I really enjoyed it.

Same here finished it last night, just over 8 hrs and felt like I didnt rush it but I really really enjoyed this SP campaign... brilliant... !

Get 10 kills in a row without dying. (Must unlock and complete challenge to obtain title/emblem.)
Relatively easy feat, but you have to be a certain level to unlock it.

So I was playing hardcore team deathmatch last night, got ForzaTifosi to join me (Icarus and some numbers on GTP), and we wound up in a match with both Legendary and Solid Lifters. What's the chance of grabbing two GTP players from a random picking? Somebody set off an EMP in one of those matches. I was surprised that a thermal scope still functions. They might've missed that.

@Solid: You seemed to be doing alright. I think you killed me once or twice. If this is your first CoD game (I think you said it was) you seem to be on the right track. Also, I added you. My PSN is "Ebiggs".

@Legendary: I know your scores were showing it, besides when you could snipe and get some kills, but you really didn't look laggy. I guess that's probably due to the server thinking you're in one place and being rather consistent about it instead of jumping about like I'm used to seeing. Don't forget to add me, too...

@Icarus: You said you suck at hardcore, you did alright if you ask me. Staying midpack is just fine if you're still having fun. 👍 In hardcore you just need to know the maps better and stop relying on any sort of electronic gizmos to find anybody. Cold-Blooded and Ninja perks are deadly.

Yeah, it would. I'm guessing something is corrupt in the gamesave. To confirm that, you could use a different PS3 user profile to play it with (not different PSN - that shouldn't matter). If its not that, maybe try deleting the game data itself, not the gamesave. Might be an error in the update files or something.

Since I get spotted so easy, and yes nothing has changed, I fire a lot to let my guys know there's somebody there waiting to ambush them. It works very well, so I don't mind the drop in accuracy.

Also, I shoot the helicopters when I run out of stingers. And sometimes, I do miss an occasional shot, but not very often. I'm not too concerned with my shot accuracy.

What I don't like is my M4 being so damn weak. Hell, a .45 sub machine gun has a lot more damage than it! I need to finish up the head shot challenge and then I'll never use it again. I like the FAL. It's an exact copy of the SCAR but doesn't recoil jump like it.

I have accepted the fact that people just have a quicker or better connection than I. It really bothers me, but can't do nothing about it. Verizon sucks, and I don't have many options to switch. I got the 7.1 package from Verizon, but my speeds were the same as the 3.0 package, so why pay an extra twenty bucks a month?

I also except the fact that I'm not as quick as others. My character is setup the way I like and that means a slow character that is easier to kill. Oh well.

The only thing that really frustrates me are the idiots I have to play with. They camp, only go for kills and don't bother to win the game. That just bugs me. But, I now have fun these idiots. I just run and get myself killed, because I want to get nuked! Just once. After that, I'll just quit and find a new game.

What's the most powerful weapon for quick kills, you think? I know about SCAR and the FAL is great, but what about the P90 or others? I love the M16, but it's burst only, which I hate beyond description! I have yet to try the other weapons. I tend to stick with the M4 until I complete the final challenge.

Oh, I had a fun thing happen last night. I just unlocked C4. It's a lot of fun! I placed a C4 package at flag B (Domination, my favorite game) and waited to hear, "Flag Bravo is being overtaken!" *click* and FIVE enemy team members fell at once! 700 instant points, and a challenge completed. I love when idiots play the game! They always bunch up like that, making a grenade or bomb kill so easy!

I currently liking this combo for non-hardcore matches:
M16 + Holographic sight
Sleight of Hand Pro
Cold-Blooded Pro
Ninja Pro
Final Stand (Deathstreak)
Since I have my Sensitivity up to 9, I find myself getting behind enemy lines and gunning down 5 or 6 at once before they start firing back, it's a wicked rush running up on the entire team who's camping in a building they think is safe and then getting taken out simultaneously.

Though my previous SCAR-H Combo is still my favorite if I play Hardcore (Too many Campers to really have fun with it though). I usually play Merc TDM and have a lot of fun, and usually end up carrying the whole team to a win

(IMO, "Carrying the team" is when one or 2 players have 20+ kills and few deaths (usually me), and the rest has under 7 and/or More than 10 deaths without a 1/1 KDR )

You gotta go perfect for the entire game. I got lucky on on Afghan map. Picked up Barret with a heartbeat sensor & thermal. Together with my ACOG'd SCAR, they couldn't get near me. But read WallRunner's post below regarding the bloody handprint emblem.

I wonder if they set you up with players on your friends list? On X360, I jumped into an match with Blackbird from here.

Yeah, Verizon connection isn't great. I wonder if that Fios thing is worth they money. Probably pretty spendy though.

I started using P90 last night, and all I can tell you is don't mix sleeping aid with the P90. I went hyper, and went crazy, jumping smack in middle of enemy territory, spraying praying everywhere. My k/d dropped from 2.06 or something like that 1.95. But those were also from me completing the Stinger challenges, P90 challenges and Barret challenges.

I'm telling you guys - give the AUG HBAR a shot. It's powerful and it's got range. I pulled out my old M4 earlier, but it didn't have even close to the range that I was used to with the AUG. I'm sticking with it until can give the M16 a try.

That's exactly what I have. I reset my PS3 web connection, my modem and my PC. I don't seem to have a problem with lag like I once had, but I do notice that some players kill me before I see them. I remember just last night, I was walking down a long alley, and the game instantly ended. From out of nowhere, and enemy was right in my face, aiming at me. Again, I came to a split second of dying and not seeing the person who did it.

I don't know if it's these people cheating, or just the way it is. But, it seems to happen to me a lot more often then not. In reverse, sometimes I play against the French, and I wonder if they can't see me the same way I can't see others. I walk right up to them, and slash them with my knife and they never aim for me, despite they should have seen me and AT LEAST aimed for me.
