I dont really care for the 20 kill streak, I get them all the time. I know why you care and dont care about the nuke but my group of friends and my generation seem to like nukes. I like to say that I have had one and getting a second one would be nice, like the cherry on the cake but on a killstreak.

I just ended the marathon on XBL. I'm now up to Prestige lv. 28! 👍 I got my k/d up to 1.90(just barely), just leveled up, it was almost 3:30 am here, I figured it was a good cutoff point. Getting close to claymores, but still got ways to go for my trusty ACR. :guilty:
I do too.
Aww, gimme a break! And Cale, if you play/practice enough, you will be "decent". Not many players can keep up "good" level of play all the time in this game. Many ups & downs for the most of us. I also suggest reading up on many tricks & techniques that are suggested by the CoD veterans in this thread. And if you have any questions, you know you can ask us anything in this thread.

P.S. Get over it, Legendary, nukes suck. Until I get to call one in, too, they suck. :p

Just got the PP2000 500 kills title which I'm pretty proud of as I'm yet to see anyone else with it.. now I'm gonna try get the same title but for the Ranger shotgun. Feel free to add George0393 if you wanna play some games, current ratio is 0.99

I don't think it's so much a level of 'suck' on our parts, because in other FPS on line games I do very well. I think it's more of a level of connection speed, than anything else, with this game.

I've played MW2 on line games where I knew the other player just had to be seeing me quicker than I could see him. Other games, and not too often, I just knew I could see them quick or sooner than they could see me. It was in those games I would kick ass.

Watching the 'kill cam' points it out. Notice when you aim and fire in the 'kill cam' footage. Sometimes, I'm shown not firing at all when I knew I got a few shots off before dying. A few times, I never saw the enemy fire a single shot at me, yet in the kill cam he's seen unloading into me.

This doesn't happen with Uncharted 2. Especially in Co-Op. I often come in first place, and often with a score that's twice or three times my partners. Killzone 2 On line is similar. I can come in the top three-four on BOTH teams, while with MW2 I can only come in 10-14 overall.

I think from here on out, if you say "I suck at this game," you should list in internet connection speed, internet provider and your location.

I've played in games with mostly Koreans and Japanese, and the always kick the crap out of me. I notice these two societies have the fastest internet connection. Then, I play against the French or Russian players, and I always kick the crap out of them. I have a feeling it's their slower internet connection speed.

I agree that connection has much to say in this game Solid_Lifter. When I play with my norwegian friends we are almost always host and a K/D ratio of 4 is not uncommon then. But when I play alone its totally different. As you said looking at killcam is a good way checking how much lag you have.. But why cod have more lag then many other FPS is something I have wonder about for a long time, even BF 1943 had much less connection throble

I'm pretty sure my k/d is .4. I was playing earlier and the other team was camping with their heart beat sensors.

I love it when people camp with HBS's on their guns. Cold blooded pro and a tactical knife usually piss off every single person on there end.

This is known in the trade as 'magic bullets' like when you run around a corner, run back and still die because the player shooting you never saw you get back behind. It's the same problem occuring in the case of a guy killing you and it appears as if you never fired a shot when you did. It happens, and I believe it's the host who is most likely to be involved in such events although I have no proof.

That said, that slight lag shouldn't effect your score on the whole, dependant on play style, I see that occuring reasonably regularly in comparison to how much I die and it's certainly not an isolated problem. However, a low connection on your own part will cause this to happen more regularly but it's not a major score killer. 2 bars is just about ok ish to play although it may not be possible, 1 bar however, or fluctuations into 1, can potentially and will likely ruin things, making it nigh on impossible to play properly.

I would say if it's happening alot, opt for a more sneaky approach which means you're not getting caught face to face to often, as there will simply not be enough time for an enemy to react and kill you before you kill them if you're firing at them first before they even acknowledge you're there.

There are ways to breakdown any type of players. Going against campers, unless you are pretty good player, you never run 'n' gun against them. I was on a team last night that did do just that. Other team, the entire team, were just camping. My team full of noobs just kept rushing at them, they all came out with k/d less than 0.5, and I was the only one on the team who came out positive. I can't remember exactly by how much, but we lost a really close one. I was not happy!

Later in the game, you'll get the Ninja perk, which makes you invisible to heartbeat sensors. I'm trying to get it right now on XBL account, I'm not sure what level you get it, but it is one of the most important perk IMO. While the Ninja perk itself just helps against heartbeat sensors, when you earn certain amount of kills using it(probably 50 or something), it upgrades to Ninja Pro, which makes your footsteps nearly silent. Very, very useful especially against campers & snipers. Great for running & gunning as well.

Oh. My. God. Don't even get me started on this. I don't know how many times I got screwed by this on a very critical part of the matches, in CoD4 & MW2. :grumpy:

EDIT: What the 🤬? I quoted Solid for that one.

@ GM for my other quote: I either have the PP-2000 title (pretty sure I do) or I am very close to getting it because I love that gun.

Just had my best game at Karachi with 32 kills 2 deaths :D Best streak was 28, too bad i dont have nuke unlocked yet :( great improvements for me. I was at about .7 kd a week ago, now im at 1.21 :)

Just got the challenge for killing a player by dropping a crate on them! :)
Managed to do that to a teammate (oops) but not a enemy.
Maybe if i'm lucky I find one that is inactive when I have a care package :)

Yea it's a pain in clutch moments, and in modes like SnD, but for TDM, and other respawn modes it usually won't ruin the whole games score from a personal perspective.

Not just bullets either. I tried to knife someone when they were crouching, but when I watched the killcam he was half way across the room watching me run round in a circle looking at the floor! That's just ridiculous!

Oh and an update on the T-Bag front, sadly not done it yet, although I've got a few PSN messages about mid-game T-Bags.

I'm wondering if anyone can help me in campaign mode. I'm on the mission where you have to get the ACS module. However I can't get past it becasue they keep killing MacTavish. Gamefaqs said to trigger the explosives, but I don't have any idea how to do that.

-Thanks

Edot: nevermind, I got it.

I want to have the care package and find a sniper just sitting there on the outskirts of a map sniping and just toss it right next to him:tup: Thats my goal, I would be so embarrassed if I watched the kill cam and seen the guy do that:ouch:

Me & G.T just played a couple. Unfortunately for him, he had two bar connection, and they were on couple of maps I consider "run 'n' gun" maps: Skidrow & Scrapyard.

In the second game, we got separated, but he was so close to bringing his team over the top. I was top on my team, he was on his team. I'm upgrading(again) my SCAR, which doesn't even have the red dot yet, so I think I might've noobtubed him couple of times. Forgive me, James. :p

Woohoo! I just ordered my Turtle Beach X1's and a 19" Widescreen PC Monitor. I will be playing my 360 on the monitor. So now I have a router with modded firmware to use with it, nice headset, and a nice monitor to use with it as well. All I need now is my 360 back!

Aha yeah... I mean I swear it was almost like a red bar connection it was that bad. But I still did okay-ish... apart from putting like 3/4 of a tar clip into you all detecting and you didn't die.

Dude, I just got this 22" widescreen from Dell, and even that's smaller than I thought it was going to be. I guess if you play pretty close to the monitor, it's not a problem.

I play on my 32" Sharp, and it feels just about right. When I used to play CoD4 on my 47" rear projection widescreen, it was a bit in-my-face.

I know what you mean. Even when they show two bar when you check the connection, I think they do fluctuate quite a bit.

On emptying a whole clip into someone(though you should never do that to me! :p), I had a match like that this morning. On Rust, I emptied the whole clip into two different guys. The whole frigging clips, and hits, at least some of them registering. One guy, I finally took him down. The other one, he was totally stationary, and firing in the different direction, after I emptied my entire clip, he turned to me, and shot me dead. I think I said something that didn't make any sense & backed out of the game. :D

I got a 23" monitor for christmas and I sit at it like a computer desk to play PS3. It is big enough, any bigger and it would be too big. I own a pair of 18.5" aswell and I do believe they might be a bit small to play on.

My face is about 2 feet from the pc screen so its not problem. Its much better than the 10 year old 19" tv that I have been playing on since I have had my 360 though, this monitor will have much better resolution, basically HD:tup: Here is what I got. I would have liked to have got a better one but this was the best one in my price range, I'm excited non the less.

Playing that close to the screen probably would help my game...... but probably strain my eyes.

That is an interesting concept I never considered before. Vedee interesting.........

What usually helps my game is wearing my glasses, which I never do because I hate stuff being on me. I hate jewelry, socks, pants, shirts.....hate it all! As soon as I get in my house my clothes pop off and its me in my boxer briefs the rest of the night. I see so much better with my glasses on, if they didn't bother me being on my face I would wear them, I really just need to get contacts so its not an issue.

Glasses goes without saying, and thanks for the visual. j/k

I wear contacts, but I always get my glasses on for the CoD action. I think my eyes get dryer when I play with my contacts on. Doesn't seem to affect my game any, but it sure does affect my comfort level.
