My comment was common sense đź‘Ť. I dont see how you can magically whip out a grenade when you dont have one...

Earlier today I read some guys idea. He said we should be able to throw our pistol at someone when we are out of ammo and get 1000XP for the kill if you get one. I would make it a challenge though otherwise people would do that in cage match.
 
It just clicked to me!!!! I think I know that the new perk is. The ability to have two attachments on a gun at once. I am nearly 80% sure that is what it is. No proof of course but it makes sense.
 
I've always thought if I could have multiple perks & attachments, I could be a pretty good player. Who am I kidding, I want stopping power, UAV jammer, sonic boom, double tap, slight of hand, three frags, claymores, red dot, silencer, etc., etc. :lol:

Does this mean you can duel wield deagles? Also what does Akimbo mean.

Ok, ive scrounged around on a forum and found that yes you can duel wield.

According to that modded controllers wont be able to be used. I read on another forum of people whining that they wont be able to shoot fast because of it, I think that the game will be able to tell if you have the trigger held in or are tapping it fast. Anyway, im not sure if duel deagles (only gun we know of so far) is going to be good or bad and im hoping that is not the new perk they will be showing us VERY soon.

Yeah, like halo. I dont see how it is realistic though. If you can hit all of your shots I will be amazed. It should at least make you randomly miss some, like 2 in every 7 or so rounds. You would have to be superman to aim it perfectly.
 
I wouldn't be surprised if it is the new perk they're on about... would be a sensible addition.

Especially on a game which practically requires you to use the sights, you can't look down 2 sights at once accurately! Let alone with deagle recoil to boot, even though the deagles on COD4 are ridiculously over-accurate when fired as fast as possible... then again most guns are far to easy to use on COD.

I'm definately avoiding MW2 unless the price drops to around ÂŁ25, which it probably won't anytime soon.
 
Thats unfortunate drag, I can see why you wouldnt buy it. You are a very strategic type of person and while I would love CoD to be strategic, it wont happen but who knows, maybe one day I will buy Socom 2 or Operation Flashpoint 2.

Yeah, I hope there isn't dual wield. Well, at least limit it to a .45 or something. but i agree, you can't look at 2 sights at once. In real life, you can "point" a gun at a person from a reasonable distance away, but in COD, the problem lies in the crosshairs.

:lol: I do play as strategically as I can on COD4, but you just can't put together any real tactics on the maps we're given, so I go for the murdur everything I see tactic.

I'm thinking Terrorist Hunt from RSV in COD form, or a 'Nazi Zombies worked out well so here's a modern more realistic version' so basically a mini-mission or set of mini missions to choose from with an objective and enemy AI to go against your team.
 
That sounds so cool. I hope you have to actually be stealthy and whatever.. Kind of like Splinter Cell.

EDIT: Those madcat accessories look amazing. I hopefully can get the controller because that doesnt look bad. The bluetooth mic looks alright too.

Nice find. Couple of the items really caught my eyes, as my interest in the Prestige Edition was starting to wane a bit.

When it comes to the online aspect of CoD4, I think there are two things that are much better on X360 than on the PS3, and they are the network(Xbox Live), and the headset setup. Bluetooth is cool & high tech, but in execution, you have to set it up, charge it, then you could still have problems with it. With the Xbox headset, while it is the dorkiest thing you've ever seen, and you will look like a MAJOR nerd, it is the easiest thing to use. You plug it into the controller, you are done! And this is why the Madcatz's X360 headset thing(not sure what to call that) does interest me. It will be so nice to not have to look like a geek(more than I usually do), playing Call of Duty with your friends. I know, it's not like they can see you anyway, but wateva.

Second thing I like are the controllers. I will probably buy at least one of them, probably again for the X360. But this time around, this is because I actually like the PS3 controller, and at least for me, Madcatz X360 pad probably would be an improvement over the stock Microsoft one.

Anywho, I find these toys more appealing than the night vision right now, so I could do like one standard copy of the game, then a hardened edition for the other system. Then pick up an item or two from Madcatz. I love it when a plan comes together![/A-Team]
 
Yeah I might buy one or two accessories. On the link Tsukuba provided, down the page it says interview part 1 and 2 out of 3. 3 comes out in a few hours and talks about Perks and how they plan to deal with online cheaters. Im really looking forward to that entry.
 
That was a good read! I hope they were not saying that they put like 236445 new perks in. The less perks, the better IMO.

I've been saving up my personal time off of work in anticipation of this game and I'm predicting at least two days of no sleep and plenty of Redbull in the fridge:tup:

On the redbull, Dbo, have you tried the 5 hour stuff? Those energy stuff that comes in a little plastic bottle? If you haven't, you should try. Sugarless Redbull works better than anything I've tried. I experience much more smooth, longer lasting boost, without getting that sugar high you get from the soda. They won't taste very good, but I find them to be more effective than coffee or energy drinks.

If I'm going for the taste though, Rockstar Pomegranate pwnz!
 
I love Pomegranate drinks. Im having some Arizona Pomegranate Green Tea right now. :drool:
