Speaking of the "domination glitch", there was a somewhat well-known occurrence of it during the Machinima Frag Cup... it potentially cost the team that got hit by it a win.

It really didn't. Both teams got hit with the glitch. The team that one, actually got hit with it at a more disadvantageous time in the match.

Earlier than many of us suspected, Modern Warfare 2 will get another 5 new maps in 3 weeks!

We all remember the day the Stimulus package was released like the day of yesterday, but today our contact from Activision send us a press release that announces new DLC (downloadable content) for Modern Warfare 2! The pack will be called the Resurgence Pack and will hit first on the Xbox LIVE network worldwide on June 3rd, which is exactly 3 weeks from now!

Nothing has been said about a price or the other platforms (PS3/PC) but it's highly likely that this pack will cost $15 and will again be exclusive for Xbox 360 for 30 days.

The Resurgence Pack will feature five maps and will be celebrated with 2 (yep, two!) double XP weekends.

Double XP weekends

* Friday, May 28
* Firday, June 4

Rumored Maps

A while back hackers revealed a couple of maps that will probably be released in this map pack. Please be advised that this is pure speculation and it's based rumors by hackers.

These are the "new" maps that were found by them:

* Revolt
* Complex (probably renamed to Bailout)
* Storm
* Abandoned
* DCWH - D.C White House
* Compact (probably renamed to Salvage)

These map names from Call of Duty 4 were named (two of which are already released in the Stimulus Pack):

* Shipment
* Vacant
* Overgrown
* Crash

As you know 'Storm, Overgrown and Crash' were in the Stimulus map pack. So if the above is correct, the next map pack will follow in the Stimulus map pack with 3 brand spanking new maps and two revamped map from Call of Duty 4.

* Revolt
* DC White house
* Abandoned
* Vacant
* Shipment

So basically we get another tiny map, shipment. We get vacant which is fairly good to be honest and we get those other 3 which we arent sure of yet. I am going to want to hope I have spare money after my holiday in Japan these holidays. One month after June 3rd is my birthday and I will be overseas, hmm....

I am not exactly surprised that they are leeching more money out of COD-heads. They are probably laughing at how easy this money they are making is.

I didn't resist and I bought the Stimulus pack but I promise I won't buy this one if it's 15 $, well not until it comes down to 10 $, if that ever happen. And IMO if shipment is in this next pack, it should be free, I said SHOULD but that too won't happen.

Sad thing is that we will probably see another one before black ops releases. 🤬

Six months down the line yes but this is too early IMO.
 
Double XP? Yaaaay! New maps...... not so much. Vacant's OK, but Shipment, I always considered that one a second rate, map-wanna be. Don't get me wrong, I've had great games on it before, but I don't consider it a full map.

If the CoD4 maps being added were Pipeline, Strike, then I'd buy it. I realize this is just an early speculation, at best, but as it stands, I might pass as well.
 
I would like to say I'm going to pass but since MW2 is the only FPS I play I will prob buy it, hell its only 15 bucks and if I actually like these maps then it will be worth it. If I don't buy it I will be saying to myself, man I wish I had that pack so I could try out these maps. Even though I really don't enjoy this game like I did the first 2 months I had it, I will still get the pack prob. Especially if my xbl peeps get it, because then if I don't get it I won't be able to play in party fully because I won't have the maps and you guys will if you get them.
 
ill probably get them, but, they'll probably end up feeling old real quick just like the stimulus map pack did.

any cod4 maps are new to me by default too.
 
More maps already? :odd: Don't think I'll rush and get them on the very same day they're released like how I did with the stimulus pack. The new maps still feel new to me and I'd like to get some other PS3 games so I'm in no hurry to spend even more money on MW2.
 
Has anyone else felt like there have been some really horrible players on PS3 lately? I am by no means a great player, but in probably 95% of the games I played last night I was either #1 or top 3, and in the other 5% I was #1 or 2 on my team of idiots. I probably had 20+ kills in all but a few games, and over 30 in quite a few. I was working on finishing up the AC130 and EMP challenges, and got the 4 of each of those I needed quite easily. I even called in 2 AC130s in a match. This was in Merc TDM, but I've never gone up against people this bad before. And it wasn't always because of being low levels, there were level 70s of various prestiges with KDRs of like .25.

Slightly dumb players maybe, I've walked so many into traps lately it's unbelievable.

Also I think I've found the best UMP45 setup.

UMP45 w/Silencer
M93 Raffica w/FMJ

Sleight of Hand Pro
Stopping Power Pro
Steady Aim Pro

It keeps you off the map but still has plenty of power to drop in an instant, I've rarely gone under 4KDR with this setup.

Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Pack Map Names and Pictures

Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Pack map details are in, and yes, there will be two more old CoD4 maps coming to Modern Warfare 2 on June 3rd.

The Resurgence Pack will feature 5 maps – 3 new and 2 from CoD4 – and will stick with the 15$ price point (like we expected any different!) The old maps which make a return from Call of Duty 4 are Vacant and Strike, while the new maps are called Trailer Park (a tight, constrained map), Carnival (a big fairground) and Fuel (a sniper’s paradise).

The Resurgence pack launches June 3 for Xbox 360, while PC and PS3 owners will have to sit tight for further details on their respective launches, but you can expect them to arrive 30 days after they hit the Xbox, minimum.

Be quiet you, that must mean there is a chance for another map pack because those maps you mentioned are on disc.
 
Very exciting seeing the pictures. I really liked the recreation of Overgrown + Crash on the current map pack, so I'm excited about the upcoming ones. I hope they do another map pack, and include the Pipeline on the next one.

My coworker mentioned "Ambush", but I told him that with the amount of air support we have in MW2, Ambush matches could get pretty ugly. :lol:

We talked about that. You'll get picked off by someone on the ground, or by the air support(s) before you even get near a cover. :nervous:

Bog was another one of my favorite maps on CoD4, but it can be just as bad as Ambush in that sense. Containers are pretty easy cover to get to though.
 
Thats great news for the new pack, I love both of the COD4 brought back maps that are in this new map pack. The carnival map sounds pretty cool and of course I will like the trailer park map, I'm from Alabama....haha

I've never had much as far as connection issues, other than the usual bits of small lag and not finding games during non-peak hours, and even then that's a minor time.

These maps look even better than the first pack, though I was really hoping for a White House map, I seriously thought it'd be in the original game :\

Also it looks like Legendary's post is missing the Screenshot for "Fuel", that or Fuel has a Carnival inside it :p (Edit; Here's Fuel: http://www.mw2blog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/mw2_resurgence_pack_-_fuel.jpg)

Speaking of Carnival, is there a hall of mirrors? :dopey:
